Why not go for a scumread? Why did they select tim over mana? Why? Why? Why?

If we go for a scumread then they aren't going to kill us (not ideal) and if scum are axed then we die too (not great). The only time loverizing scum is beneficial is if we're going to be misaxed.
and tbh there's not a great reason for why tim over mana. It's just what mantis preferred. I would have gone for mana, but then I can't give a good reason for that either.

I don't think you were a super likely NK last night with an outed vig on the table regardless, and I agree that my slot and trans rights both have higher NK equity than yours. The point is not "you are going to die N1". The question is whether you're going to die at all. If you're using it as a neighborizer, you'd want to use it on someone who's both town and likely to survive to the end of the game, so you avoid giving mafia a free KP. This is awkward since you never know when the townie you put your ability on claims super cop or something, which is why I prefer to use this kind of role as a vigilante shot. But regardless if you were trying to find a townie that has low NK equity you'd probably look at people like julinooks or FalconKnows, not your slot.

It can't be used as a vigilante shot because the target, if they're a wolf, knows that you loverized them and obviously won't shoot you.
At that point if your target is mafia then the only way your role is beneficial is if you get yourself misbanished. Which is not ideal already.
There's another use which is to claim actions on behalf of your partner, so that your partner can't be rb'd. That's an edgecase situation tho.
