A bright light lit the area from above and Stanley smacked Drake’s shoulder, fear evident on his face. “What the hell is that?!”

The light poured in through the tiny window in the back door of their truck illuminating the entire space within. It also made their exterior cameras go blank due to its brightness.

“Shit, I wasn’t serious when I said aliens, but maybe I was right!”

“Shut up, Stanley!” He swung the door open to look outside and then ducked back into the back of the box truck. “It’s SWAT with a chopper. I assume they have another arrest warrant. Must be someone they expect won’t go quietly.”

Settling in he flipped the view to the interior and they watched as the house was rushed and robyn was cuffed and removed from the premises, kicking and screaming the whole way.

I don't know what it means for Abigail to not be up to code, but I know it is a negative for actually solving the game.

As far as I'm concerned, I've been trying to townside (at least slightly, probs should've pushed Abigail for the reason above, but I didn't want the game to potentially end quickly) so take this as you will.

Update post N3: I've submitted for an inspection on Boq as well who turned up not to code.'

Stanley dozed in his chair, head tilted back at an uncomfortable angle and a little bit of drool at the corner of his mouth. Sgt Drake was having trouble keeping his eyes open as well, the truck was too warm and this whole situation had worn him out. Just as his eyelids drifted close, a snort from Stanley startled him back awake. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the screen once again.

“God damn it!”

Another snort from Stanley as he jerked awake at Drake’s exclamation. “What’s wrong?” he croaked in a groggy voice.

“DrWilgy is dead. Judging from the mummy bandages wrapped around their neck it looks like someone strangled them…”

“Who was it?”

“Lizard people.”

Legacy Day 3: Legacy Day Three SVS: I’m town, I’m a limited parity checker. I never had this kind of role before and I was looking forward to using it, but figured the jokes on me! Parity checking in a closed set up with no flips won’t tell me much, plus I only choose one target, the second person is random. I have three shots, Night One I chose Long Con, and Random. org chose Marmot ... and they came back two different alignments! LC as Hat, Marmot as Boot. I didn't know which was which though. Night Two though, I got lucky. I checked Windward cause I was pretty sure she was town, and she came back Hat! Same as LC. Random. org picked ME!! And I came back Hat too. So WWA and LC are town, since I am, too. Marmot is NOT town. He's a boot, a bad boot. So let's see who pushes back the hardest to save the boot!

Drake hadn’t come back into the truck since Porscha had been arrested. Stanley began to worry about where he might have gone. Finally, his concern got the better of him and he set aside the pizza and the headphones to step out into the cool night air. He could see Sgt. Drake pacing back and forth down the road.

When he finally caught up to him he asked, “You ok, partner?”

“No! Nothing about tonight is ok. People are dropping like flies, mysterious arrest warrants are coming through. Something is just plain wrong here and I can’t figure out what it is.”

“Well, maybe you should just keep you head down and let it go. That’s what I do. Follow orders and stay out of trouble.”

“That’s why you haven’t had a promotion in fifteen years too,” Sgt Drake snapped back.

“Ouch.”

There was a quiet moment of tension and Drake drew a deep breath, “I’m sorry, man. That was harsh, I know. I just have this sinking feeling that we are going to take the fall for whatever shady back room deal is going on here.”

Stanley clapped him on the shoulder, “Nah, just keep your head down, we’ll be ok.”

Just as he said those words a gun shot rang out. Drake darted for the truck, cursing under his breath the whole way. Diving for the chair he quickly tried to pull up the video feeds, only to see that S~V~S was lying bleeding in the middle of the dance floor, a single gunshot wound to the head. And no one had been in the truck monitoring the party when it happened.

The pair in the cramp boxed truck had fallen into silence. Drake was clearly irritable with the situation and the warmth of the truck was lulling Stanley to sleep. Every once in a while a stray snore broke the silence and Stanley woke with a start only to fall asleep again. Sgt. Drake ignored it all, instead watching the party with the headphones on. The cell phone in his pocket chimed with an incoming message. He sighed and slipped it back in his pocket after reading the message before nudging Stanley with elbow.

“Looks like they’re sending the squad car back to carry out another warrant.”

Stanley rubbed a hand over his sleep-crusted eyes. “You know what I think?”

“Not really.”

“Lizard people. The lizard people are definitely behind this.”

“Listen, I’d take being stuck in this truck with lizard people over you. I’m going to stretch my legs.”

Sgt. Drake hopped out into the fresh night air and watched as the cops showed up to cuff Porscha and cart them off.

“Somebody order a pizza?” Stanley grinned as he plopped the box down on the little tray table. Sgt. Drake was taking his turn at the screen and he didn’t bother looking up as Stanley opened the box and started tucking into a greasy piece of cheese pizza.

“Did I miss anything good?”

Drake shook his head in response, attempting to ignore the other man chewing with his mouth open. “Just more mingling and partying. I wish the sound quality was better on these things so I could hear more of their conversations.”

“Take a break, eat a slice.” Stanley had nearly finished his first huge piece already.

“Nah, I can’t. I feel like something is wrong. Like I’m missing something.”

“Something like your appetite?”

Drake ignored him, flipping idly through the cameras. “Wait a minute…” he flipped through the shots a little more quickly. “Lime Coke is missing.”

“What do you mean, missing?”

“I mean I can’t see them on any of these shots.”

“Did you see anyone leaving? Cut to the outside.”

Drake flipped a second switch, changing to the exterior set of cameras and flipping through until he came to a shot of the walkway out front. A lump in the form of a body lay halfway tucked under the bushes.

“Better call the chief,” Stanley commented, taking another bite of the pizza.

Rumors swirled like spectral mist through the town, hinting at a connection between Sawyer and a notorious online forum known as "Cerberus Con." The townsfolk couldn't help but wonder if Sawyer was a harbinger of death, a modern-day spook, with hidden intentions beneath his friendly facade.

As the shadows lengthened and the moon cast an eerie glow over the town, the town couldn't help but feel a creeping sense of unease. Something was amiss in Lostpedia, and not a single villager could quite put their fingers on it. The candies may have been sweet, but the taste of suspicion lingered in the air, a chilling reminder that even in the most quaint of places, secrets can be the most haunting presence of all.

The truck smelled like old pizza and body odor.

“Jesus, Stanley, take a damn shower before a stakeout!” A man who appeared to be in his mid-thirties exclaimed as he set a tray of coffees down on a makeshift table in the middle of the box truck.

“Fuck off, Drake.” Stanley retorted, grabbing one of the cups and sloshing coffee onto the floor. He had an oversized set of headphones on and he was watching a tiny screen.

“Anything yet?” Sgt Drake asked.

“Nah, not yet. Did you get any more information from the Feds?”

“The best I got was this file.” He dropped a folder on the table, promptly staining it with spilled coffee. “They won’t give us any info on their men inside.”

“How do we know they aren’t conspirators in Rondo’s murder?”

“We don’t.”

“So we just wait and watch and see who comes out the other side?”

“Pretty much. We can’t risk making any arrests until we know we aren’t arresting any agents.”

“And the rest of these jokers are just neighborhood watch or somethin’?” Stanley slurped his coffee, watching the screen where the HOA’s Halloween party was continuing onward, as if Rondo hadn’t just been murdered by Spacedaisy.

“Home Owner’s Association. They’re trying to jack up their property prices for a developer or some shit like that. Gentrification at its finest, am I right?”

“Fuck, HOA’s are the worst!”

“You can say that again,” Drake replied, as he settled in to watch and listen until they had the damning evidence they’d need. This would be the longest and most confusing stakeout of his life.

Something caught his attention and he leaned forward with interest. “Are you seeing this?”

Stanley nodded, looks like they think they’ve found an agent.” On the small black-and-white screen, the crowd was pressing in around Scotty.

“What are they saying?” Drake asked his partner.

“It’s hard to make out, a lot of yelling. All I can get is they think Scotty is an agent.”

“Are they?”

“Your guess is as good as mine. Do we move before this goes south?”

“We have to hold until we’ve got visual confirmation of the murderers. The bureau will have our asses if we arrest one of their agents and blow their cover.”

The scene quickly devolved into a pushing match and it became more difficult to tell what was happening. “Wait, where’s Scotty?”

“Shit! I lost visual… oh no.”

“Is that Scotty on the floor?”

Stanley just nodded, dumbfounded at how fast it had all happened. In a heap in the room was the lifeless body of Scotty

Welcome To The Game

As the night of Halloween approached, the group of homeowners, having successfully protected their investments, decided to come together for a celebratory party like no other. They knew that their long-cherished dream of becoming property developers was within reach, and they intended to revel in the moment.

The haunted mansion, where they had held their secret meeting, was transformed into a ghostly gala. Cobwebs adorned the grand staircase, and eerie, flickering candles cast an enchanting glow over the ornate rooms. The homeowners, dressed in their most elaborate Halloween costumes, took on the appearance of legendary apparitions, wraiths, and otherworldly beings.

The night was filled with spectral festivities. Ghoulish tunes drifted from a haunted grand piano, and the homeowners danced with ethereal grace, their ghostly masks and costumes adding to the enigmatic atmosphere. The menu featured a macabre feast, with dishes like "Witch's Brew" and "Spectral Eclairs," and the drinks flowed like otherworldly elixirs.

Amid the celebration, Space Daisy, dressed as a spectral enchantress, took the center stage, raising a toast to the group. "We've overcome our trials and secured our future as property developers," she declared. "Tonight, we not only celebrate Halloween but our victory over the spirits of adversity."
