Thomas the Tank Engine [SPEED MAFIA]
Thomas the Tank Engine Mafia
The Sodor Steamworks
Thomas – He’s a really useful engine!
Being really useful, Thomas is always helpful and convincing. His vote each Day is worth three.
Percy – Junior engine who is learning the ropes and pulls the mail cars.
Percy has the opportunity to take on a new steamy ability each Night, but can use the ability only once!
Gordon –The proud engine who pulls the Express.
On two occasions, Gordon can pull another engine with him along the Express line, protecting himself and his target from all Night actions.
James – Vain and egotistical, he likes to tell others what they can and cannot do.
James may role block anyone at Night.
Henry – An old accident-prone engine who is unwell at times.
On one occasion, Henry may switch the decommission vote to any player of his choice.
Edward – A grand old back engine who even gets along with the Troublesome trucks!
Targets anyone each Night, helping them pull their load and giving that player twice their ability the next Night.
Toby – The old trolley engine. “Well let’s say he’s square!”
Tracks anyone at Night, finding out who that person targeted.
Emily – The newest member of the Sodor Steamworks just wants to be included!
*Secret*
Narrow Gauge Engines
These smaller engines will search for one another each Night. If they find one of their own, they earn permanent BTSC.
Skarloey
Rheneas
Sir Handel
Peter Sam
Rusty
Duncan
Dirty Diesels
Have BTSC and scrap a player each night.
‘Arry – Biff!
Biffs someone each Night, making their talk silly!
Bert – Bash!
Bashes someone each Night, blocking that individual!
Mavis - A feisty diesel engine, Mavis doesn't take kindly to advice.
If Mavis is targeted by anyone at Night, she will know the player who came after her!
Diesel 10 – All of the other engines are afraid of Diesel 10, and Diesel 10’s claw, “Pinchy!”
He uses Pinchy to prevent someone from voting the next Day.
The Fat Controller
Sir Topham Hatt
Cannot be lynched or Night killed. Each Night, may direct the target of one of the engines as he sees fit. Loses his position if there is too much confusion and delay (that is to say, all eight main steam engines are lost).

Thomas the Tank Engine Mafia is meant to be a fun and kid-friendly game. There is no vote manipulation except for what is mentioned in Thomas' role description and no secrets except for Emily's special ability. It will be a great game for new and experienced players alike.

I would have liked to, but my husband could not find ones that looked uniform and were clean looking. And, I would be glad to have you come along on our Sodor adventure.Snow Dog wrote:Brilliant.

He'd be posting himself but he's in the shower...yes I went in there to tell him... When he started jumping up and down on the wet porcelain I started rethinking the wisdom of not waiting til he got out.

Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [SPEED MAFIA]
You are welcome. I had Andrew and my son, Simon, specifically in mind for this game. Simon has really gotten into Mafia since I started playing. I am working on the opening story at the moment. I am quite excited

Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [SPEED MAFIA]
Hosting your first game is a real experience. Is epi going to play or is going to help Simon play?
Re: Thomas the Tank Engine [SPEED MAFIA]
I will not be taking a role. I will be something of a mentor on all sides. I did help develop this, and I will help Simon understand what's going on.Kate wrote:Hosting your first game is a real experience. Is epi going to play or is going to help Simon play?
This will be a "beginner's game." I feel that it would be good to have those once in a while- straightforward, few or no secrets, no lynch manipulations, and just a fun story.

That's what I was thinking I would do. I was unsure I could decommission my own son...Epignosis wrote:I will not be taking a role. I will be something of a mentor on all sides. You are welcome to mentor Andrew if you do not play yourself. I will be helping Simon. I won't be prodding him (he's rather funny and intuitive), but I will help him understand things like idioms and metaphors.Kate wrote:That's what I was thinking I would do. We home school, and I definitely consider this part of his education.

I think this is awesome to plan a game specifically for some younger players as well as a good jumping off place for newer players! Thanks Elo!

Anyone would be welcome to participate.Snow Dog wrote:Are you kind of saying I shouldn't play?
We just want to stress that it will be kept clean (i.e., no profanity, dirty references, etc.), and that the process is very straightforward. The only vote manipulation is that Thomas' vote is worth more, and the only secret is Emily's power. Plus, it would be the first time Eloh would be hosting, and she has no desire to maintain a complex thing like Masters of the Universe was. Frankly, I don't blame her!
That's why we say it'd be great for newer and younger players. But anyone is welcome! After all, there are eighteen roles to fill!
Eloh's already written the introduction, and it sounds exactly like the TV show. Very good!

Yes, I agree. If it weren't for LittleTiger and thellama73, I don't know how I would have made it through MOTU as my first game.Snow Dog wrote:Maybe a good one for my wife to learn on.Epignosis wrote:Anyone would be welcome to participate.Snow Dog wrote:Are you kind of saying I shouldn't play?
