Tbh my eyes are kinda glazed over rn. I loosely remember someone suggesting that we keep town voices alive. I think that it's better, if we have strong town voices who are clearly town and more towny than the next best options, to vote them out so that we don't have to worry as much as about voting out mafia. They'd just be nightkilled by the mafia anyway assuming it's not N3/N5, and voting them out forces mafia to kill people we're less certain are town.

Ideally we kill town.

If we kill mafia on Day 1 or 2, then we decrease the amount of interactions that mafia players are forced to participate in with each other, and put them closer to their win con. It doesn't move town further from theirs necessarily, but it puts town at risk of doing so.

tl;dr chopping town is always better than chopping mafia
