I sure wish I wasn't going to be too busy to play this. I'm still tempted to sign up but as I've said I hate dropping out of games and leaving hosts in difficulty. Has anyone else seen the newest episode? Definitely my favourite of this series. I highly recommend not watching it in the dark while sitting in bed at 1am home alone. That was a bad move.

Oh yeah definitely. It's like you and they said, Cybermen are only better at dying :P I do like the Cybermen too, but they're probably not among my most favourite villains.

The two teams could never work together to any lasting succcess. Both believe in the superiority of their own race and that everything else is theirs to exterminate/delete/rule over. Kinda reminiscent of Germany/Russia/Japan in WW2, which is probably what they were going for really.

Also "It's like Stephen Hawking meets the Speaking Clock" is probably Mickey's only valuable contribution to the entire show. I barely remember him at all, except from this and that other Cybermen episode in the parallel universe.

Yeah, I like them too, but they're not among my most favorite either. The Master has to be my favorite, but that's just because he's crazy and I think very well-written. And that's a good point, definitely reminiscent of WW2.

And LOL about Micky, yeah, I agree there. I may remember him more so only because I've seen the first two seasons the most out of any of them, but that's due to the fact that I am a relatively recent convert. But I do think they gave him a very good role in the other Cybermen episode, for sure. Given Micky takes up more screen time than Captain Jack Harkness, and seeing what an awesome story arc they accomplished with Capt. Jack, I feel perhaps they could have done more with Micky, but at least he had a couple of really good moments.

I'm still holding out for a Captain Jack return. Torchwood was cut off before its time (understandably though) but that should really free up the character for a one-off appearance in the main show.

He's way too competent. He'd be the one rescuing The Doctor half the time, plus there's the whole 'likes to shoot at his problems' thing. The Doctor doesn't like guns. It'd be interesting to see him interact with Capaldi and Clara though. I can't believe they never kept on with Torchwood. I thought Miracle Day was really good. Children of Earth was too depressing though and I wasn't a huge fan, and if it ever did come back I'd rather it go back to the original format and stop killing half the cast every other episode.

I even liked Children of Earth. It really is a shame he's too awesome to be in Doctor Who properly. He'd steal too much of the focus from the Doctor.

Even though River's story is kind of over I'd like to see how she feels about Capaldi.

I got bored of River and felt like she was just being crammed in wherever she could fit, so I'm glad she's not around any more. Maybe a few years from now I'll miss her and feel the same as I do about Jack though. I sort of miss Martha and Donna as well, with UNIT being so big in the 50th special they could have thrown Martha back into the mix for a little while or had one of them with Tennant at the time the story was set. Can see why they didn't though, since the 10th's companion would have no reason to forget what had happened and it wouldn't make sense.

Yeah that is a pretty badass comeback. I always liked Matt Smith's warning to the Atraxi at the end of his first episode, 11 was generally awesome with the speeches and intimidation. Also (paraphrased):

"This trap has something wrong. There's one thing you never put in a trap. If you're smart, if you have any plans about seeing tomorrow there is one thing you must never EVER put in a trap... Me."

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm not a Torchwood fan. And in particular the fact that such an adult show is part of the same universe as Doctor Who never seemed right to me.

Now the Sarah Jane Adventures, that's more my style. :D

Hahahah, she's already beat me at every kind of game we've ever played together, it's kinda ridiculous. Mafia is still my turf tho till she comes and takes it from me :noble:

Also, fwiw, I told Gotrees to sign up. Do I get prize yet? Made and Dana may try to take credit for it, but really, I asked first!

Sup gangstas and gangsta-bitches! I am in! I see some familiar names on the in list, great to be playing with you fellas and gals again! I've grown up a little since we last played together; 30 now, married, refined, maybe even sophisticated, but it's still the same me that you loved/hated from the old days. To commemorate my advancement through time I've added 56 billion to my username. I'm like the T-1000 from Terminator 2, y'know? Except 56 million times more awesome. The K-56000000000, if you will. Bam! Look forward to that! ;)

I see plenty of new names on the list, too, and am looking forward to getting to know you guys in what I hope will be a great game. Fair warning: try to lynch or NK me and I will get you back!

That ridiculous intro said and done, I'll see you when we start! :feb:

To commemorate my advancement through time I've added 56 billion to my username. I'm like the T-1000 from Terminator 2, y'know? Except 56 million times more awesome. The K-56000000000, if you will. Bam! Look forward to that! ;)

I see plenty of new names on the list, too, and am looking forward to getting to know you guys in what I hope will be a great game. Fair warning: try to lynch or NK me and I will get you back!

That ridiculous intro said and done, I'll see you when we start! :feb:
I am Skeletor. I have absorbed the power of the universe. I have no need of zeroes in my name. A pleasure to meet you...how is it they say... "Bra."
