Alison's case on me started by her quoting my "Alison is still alien" --> saying my progression on her was weird and then putting words in my mouth.

I agree with this. Not so much the wording, but the sentiment.

To be clear, I don't think a civilian treats Carotenoid that way. I'm a civilian, and while I gave Carotenoid a little shit over the choice to protect me, I'm not making things up to take her down. Alison produced a bunch of assumptions and tried to drown Carotenoid with them. I don't see why a civilian would do that.

like, it's literally impossible because even if one townie clears another, no one has to believe that townie.

you're setting impossibly high standards here and kinda nitpicking on choice of words. the game of mafia is intuition more than it is hard cold facts that we don't always have. probability says to T!Carot that she saved a T!Epi when on an even numbered night only one kill goes through. it's not hard or farfetched to deduce that.

this is like me coming in and willingly putting myself into that pool of suspects who saved nutella by claiming after the event that i did save nutella. i had nothing to gain from being honest about how i used my bunkershot, and everything to lose.

carot has way more paranoia and things to lose than if W!Carot had not made that play. this isn't even taking into consideration dead player analysis, her communication with soneji and rej.

It's the time stamp thing, or sort of the admission here that "these are old" (which can't be proven but can sort of be based on the state of the notes). I've scanned in pictures of paper notes before, I don't have a problem with that.

Why would that be a problem?

It's out of game information that can't be easily faked and could be used mischievously. Has no place in the game. Here it means something rather specific, since it would allow us to say that we had a specific town mechanical grasp on the game on n3 but not reveal that information until day 5 or whatever, which is substantially easier as town if the time gap can be proven.
