[VOTE: Lunalee] aubergine

Theory: I'm not literally insane. Luna did give me a fake role claim. She didn't pursue contradicting me and foisting suspicion my way over it because that didn't work with the 'suspicious votes' thing earlier today.

And If JJJ scumslipped, Luna is scum with him.
If Scum is protecting Eloh, Luna is probably scum with her.
The only suspicion I've been entertaining today that doesn't include Luna is dunya.

DDL and Neverwhere are kinda blank spaces right now.

False memories are definitely a thing. It is possible that I somehow read the investigative 'lie detect' and thought 'Oh, there's a non-standard investigation role.'

I just got home and read back some. What the heck is going on with this lie detector stuff? And am I right that between speed and Luna the role that I thought Luna had has been exposed in the thread? And Jay somehow found out it was a lie detect instead? Can someone set me straight? It looks like most have decided to vote Luna. Can someone tell me why? Sorry I'm so full of questions.

Ok, speed this sound entirely possible to me, that she gave a fake role claim. But why? Also, if we think she is a lie detector why is everyone voting for her? Is it the same reason I was concerned about her first role claim, i.e., that we had too many people who could detect someone's alignment? Also, I didn't see in her posts where she said "lie" or "detector" so why do we believe she's a lie detector? Because Jay said she was and she nodded to him? Maybe it doesn't matter. I do want to understand the vote though before I move mine to her.

oops Lunalee I should have alerted you to the post above. If you are indeed a lie detector can you give us some of the words that describe your role? Like "lie" or "detector". I apologize if you did this and I missed it somewhere.

JaggedJimmyJay wrote: Thu May 02, 2019 3:50 pm Theory: Luna told speedchuck in BTSC that she is a role cop (or something like that), lying deliberately about what her role is. Because her teammates had at least two atypical roles (Jack a mock-doctor, Luna a lie detector of some sort), they knew that she shouldn't give speedchuck an authentic claim. Instead she handed over "role cop", which a lie detector can serve as functionally, to avoid raising suspicion in this sometimes backwards setup.

I just don't understand how she can literally tell him that she is a lie detector and then he can forget that.

Ok thanks, thats what I was looking for.

So now to everyone, does it make sense for the mafia to have a lie detector? I'm having a hard time grasping why the vote is on Luna. Must be something simple that I'm missing.

i am not voting eloh. don't give 2 shits if this looks like it's tmi after her flip. i just don't think eloh who would be informed in btsc by a raging jack and mac comes in and asks that question and makes that post. no offence to eloh. i just think they would be better coordinating reactions/defences when they know jack is a dead man walking. who survives a red peek? jack had almost given up tbh.
I don't think Eloh has enough experience with games where info dumping is allowed to know that when a cop outs a mafioso it's GG. She hasn't played that many recent games and it's a fiarly new tng in this site.

It is possible that she saw the situation and thought she could reverse it, rather than just bus her teammate which is what a more meta-savvy mafioso would do.

We planned in BTSC not to vote till the last second for reasons related to her role. That's why I missed voting earlier, and why she likely did too. Now she's shading me based on that?

speedchuck can you speak to why you didn't vote on days 1,3, and 4 (I think those are the days)? I'm assuming thats what Luna means by your votes looking bad. If you already shared this and I've forgotten just point me back to your post.
I'm pretty sure I voted D1.

3 and 4 both fell on the weekend, which isn't a good excuse or anything. I just got busy and didn't check in in time.
Ok, and yes, it's been established in previous games that you are not around much on the weekends. I didn't realize those days were weekend days (the all run together in my mind). So, I guess I don't understand Luna's claim that she doesn't like your votes.

@Lunalee is it the weekend non-votes that you didn't like? I would think you of all people would realize how busy he is on the weekends. Or was it his other votes? Or both? I'll give you something to copy and paste so you can answer each of those alternatives separately:

Didn't like his weekend non-votes:

Didn't like his other votes Day 1 and 5:

Didn't like any of his votes/non-votes:

This doesn't actually make sense. I didn't ask Luna to shade me over votes. People are asking her questions and cooperating to the point where she can tell us what she means.

So far, she's accused me over votes (while still voting for JJJ I think) and clarified that it's my actual votes that look bad, not the missed votes.

Dragon D. Luffy why did you vote Luna? I'm asking you because you're here and others aren't.

And dang Lunalee did you just change your answer on Jay's pick one? Are you saying you don't know which of the two choices is true?

Because of that whole "speed didn't vote d1 and d5" debacle, which in the end was meaningless.

My vote stayed on her because I had no reason to put it anywhere else.

I think it's possible speed and/or luna just made a silly mistake.

I've mislynched people before for not behaving on ways I'd expect to be logical. Such as not revealing cop results and stuff.

Like, although I did say it to juliets in that argument before, not everybody plays how we would expect all the time.

So nagging thought I had was why would Luna lie about Lie detector and claim Role cop? Jay said something about a theory of why her doing it but I don't understand yet why Role cop is more believable to be a town thing than lie detector when she knew what she was in for by agreeing to be insanified

Can someone explain the reason behind this theory?

The roles are pointless to attribute alignment. That's the whole point. Jack was a fake doctor. Leetic was a silencer. Outside of this claim, why is Luna town? Speedchuck said she told him she was a role cop. That's a significant inconsistency. I am waiting for host clarification on Jay's "Lie detector" blip. I should be doing other things now but I'm glued to mafia. Shame on me. :p

Yeah, Jay is gone to a hockey game and didn't seem like he would be back before EOD. I know you should be doing other things, you have so much to do. Also, Luna hasn't done anything I guess to make me call her civ it's just that I would like for her to be able to explain this whole mess from her viewpoint. I guess a lie detector could be mafia but I just don't get it if it is. I had an easier time believing a role cop could be mafia.
