because in these types of situations meta in my home community was to leave outted wolves alive (which happened every other cycle due to mech), and we left them alive and lynched elsewhere. i admittedly have thought about it a lot this game but my understanding is that we leave them alive and deal with them later for solving purposes

this has admittedly been years ago and might've been devised by me gaslighting everyone though
