I'm thinking about Dizzy, he slanked through a lot of the game but then I thought he was pretty towny. Like he helped out Samu unless that was a giant mistake on his and Samu's part.

I'm not seeing you as bad either but I don't know if my reasons are good enough.

And I don't really think I need to defend myself: I need to hunt scum and hope I give you guys more to go on because of how many chances we've got to go. As it stands, I'm a little better than dead weight because of what *I've* done.

I'm being cleared (or not cleared) mostly for Dya, which is fine; the slot as a whole must be considered.

I'm really glad no one asked me to explain dya's reads or processes, because that is the only thing I hate about subbing in.
If I could answer questions like that, I'd be a hell of a lot better at mafia.

If I read it, I don't remember it.
I went with SPF over dizzy because I cannot fathom a mac vote right now, and SPF doesn't look cleared to me.

Dizzy doesn't look great either, but I can at least understand a vote for "no one" despite it being fairly suboptimal.
what do you understand about it? you're saying it as if it's alignment indicative.
Voting no one I can understand coming from a town perspective (in a "I don't wanna vote any of these wagons because i think they're all town!" ) even if I disagree with the methodology; votng is town's weapon - use your damn vote on those you believe to be scum and don't abstain.

While spf voting mac, someone I clearly townread, seems like a waste of a vote and an excuse to be contrarian and "correct" when the vote flips.

I also don't remember anything SPF has said prior, so this Mac vote kinda came out of nowhere.

(I'm exempting Poison's check because of the part of Herm's role that says more than one non-civilian can be on an album.) Sorry if you are repeating yourself, just give me the basics and I'll ask questions about anything I don't understand.
1) I was tracked to Nanook on N2

As a scum, I don’t have much to do at Nanook that benefits me or hurts the village. Nanook fake softed a doc that he dropped after being pushed and hard claimed a role that’s kind of useless for town and doesn’t put mafia in danger.

The only argument I got for this was that I rolecopped Nanook because I didn’t buy his claim, which is now refuted bt Samu flipping as cop.

This makes me lock town.

2) Hermie’s role checks for non-civilians on albums. He was told there are no non-civilians on Kid A and King of the Limbs.

I was confirmed Kid A album by Poison last night.

That makes me lock non-3p.

(I am not sure if he checks for non-civilians or just not scum but I believe that’s how his role worked, I may be misremembering so you should read his flip again while confirming / denying this)
Ok, I guess I can confirm this bolded part.

juliets wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 3:04 pm @Logic who did you track last night?
No one.
I opted to save my single remaining shot since I came in to the game state trying to catch up and would have a better idea of who to use it on after a day of being in thread myself.

Oddmerta wrote: Tue Sep 15, 2020 12:40 am Is it 24 hours or 48 hours today?
I'm really hoping still 48 hour days, because I don't wanna try-hard.

    Otherwise it's just kinda dickish.
    Mafia is about having fun!
Why did you wait until the day started to rescind your stunt? Were you trying to influence the actions of the other players?

See from a town perspective, you have to go
I'm on the fence about tutuu.
I believe that's more likely a town stunt, but the "anti-town" past actions doesn't mean always yeet to me.

It does put tutuu perpetually in the POE, but I wanna see if the dead wolves make any good associations with tutuu before I agree with condemning someone for what amounts to a poorly played stunt.

That being said, I only marginally think dizzy has any kind of scum equity, and that's solely because of the Wilgy NK.

    have you considered scumreading

not sure if you know about that method but it involves looking at someone's day play and trying to figure out if it's coming from scum or town. it's a pretty obscure tactic but it works well for me
Well this is a fire response.

I've been wondering why Alison was acting as if she was innocent child, but this response is just about the right frame of mind for a frustrated townie.

Shhhh, you're not supposed to speak logic. I'm in the PoE because slanking and such. Must be yeeted. =p
I may be taking this more literally than I should, but are you talking to/about me?

juliets wrote: Mon Sep 14, 2020 10:55 pm I did put my protect on Wilgy last night as planned so he wouldn't be role blocked but that doesn't do any good in the face of a kill. I feel like I wasted my action because as Dizzy pointed out Wilgy couldn't even track unless it was one of the random abilities.
I don't think a protection action on a player is a waste. It shows you had good instincts and that there is some more missing info.
