Re: Ducktales Woo-oo D3
Look, this isn't personal and I don't wanna start a thing, though maybe I just did.
But gamethrowing is against forum rules. If you think someone is doing it, message the mods, don't say it in public.
And it is often used to attack people who have non-meta playstyles. Which is mean and elitist.
Or in this game's case, when I said I would have few posts in day 2 because I was enjoying easter weekend with my family and Rondo replied by calling me a gamethrower and a slanker.
So please don't do that, okay?

Re: Ducktales Woo-oo D3
Catching up.
The next game I host will have a "anyone who uses the term game throwing will be modkilled on the spot". Such an angle-shooty, disgusting phrase.
Since there are four pages left to read and I don't wanna talk about the present until I'm done, let's talk about the past. I ISO'd HK and my impression is he spent A LOT of posts townreading A LOT of people. He had lists of townreads left and right. Is there scum in those townreads? Seems logical. But there are so many of them it's probably impossible to figure out from them. Dude made some good anti-spew work imo.
Little in the way of wolfreads though. In terms if wolfreads, HK would pick one person and park. Day 1 it was falcon (and I think Rondo iirc). Day 2, Jack. Day 3, he didn't vote.
I'm saying all this because I'm having a hard time imagining a wolf who just lost a teammate, whether that was intentional or not, parks on the other teammate on Day 2. Say what you want about wanting to control the night kill, the drawback if having to spend a whole game alone doesn't seem worth it. Because of that, I'm pretty confident on Jack being town.
Back to the ketchup.

Re: Ducktales Woo-oo D3
Alright caught up.
I was meaning to vote Porscha but then I decided to ISO her and she looks better than I remember. There's a lot of "I cant do anything etc" posts but there are some honest looking attempts to read people here and there, even in day 1. Back to neutral I guess.
I wanna jump this sexy HK bandwagon after Mac found a contradiction but it's one vote to hammer so I don't wanna do it right now. Then again I will also miss the last hour of the day.
Gonna put a placeholder on Screen for now since I want out of the NAA vote and between him and Mizery the later just made me laugh so she lives another day.
[VOTE: Screen] aubergine

Uh... I don't exactly have solid reads on anyone but sure. It's 99% gut though.Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 11:56 pm I would like to hear and understand a lot more from @Porscha @Mizery @srceenplay and @Dragon D. Luffy about all of their reads right now.
Mac is very town for starting and giving momentum to the falcon wagon, along with Seanzie.
You look town to me based on tone, your emotional posts are very hard to fake, though not impossible.
Arcbell looks a little better today but I'm still not sure I can trust him, neutral.
HK I actually believe his meta change is real but that doesn't mean he couldn't make the meta change in a wolf game. Neutral.
Jack has said a lot of things I agreed with but he's a great scum player and I'm paranoid. Neutral.
Lag is trying to lead town. Seems like real life is getting on the way of that, though. I want to read them town but to be completely sure I would need a more Jay-like, thread explodey performance, and that looks more like a prototype of it. Let's say moderate town for now.
Not a fan of Mizery. She is funny etc but still feels like she hasn't done anything except for that (pretty good) excel work which is kinda like the stuff mafia does when they wanna busywork.
NAA despite my voting I could see as a neutral, his voting without saying anything and the whole acting like we should be able to read his mind does town no favors, but that's NAA he's not the most social player. I'm thinking of changing the vote since he finally came down to the playground this night.
Porscha leaning scum, like this whole "I'm bad at mafia so I won't do anything" routine needs to end already. It's Day 3. Sure, I think she's stopped saying that but she's still posting so little I can't remember anything she's said recently.
Screenplay scum, he's kinda like NAA but less abrasive? But that also makes him feel more coast-y. He's not interacting with people and not making an effort to be noticed. I don't like it.
So yeah I guess Mizery, Porscha and Screenplay are the way to go. I'll finish catching up and then maybe change to one of those.

I just kinda hate how he's playing (not posting much and acting like he's got all figured so we just gotta sheep him) even though I know by experience trying to pressure NAA's actions by voting him is like drying ice. But hope is the last thing that dies.Dyslexicon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 6:32 pm I don't know if NAA is town or not. But it just seems lazy and uninspiring to vote there. His behaviour in this game is not different than what I've seen him do as town. Caveat is I've never seen him as mafia. But it does not inspire me much. Just my feels.
I guess from your list I'd kill anyone but Mac. Day 1 makes Mac look so good it's not even funny.

But two, Mac mentioned a Dizzy + Jack pairing, and then I remembered that Jack tried to start a Porscha wagon to save Dizzy, and while I think that wagon in particular isn't actually bad, I even townread Jack for that choice.
A w/w pairing between Dizzy and Jack could actually make a lot of sense.
I thought this was a pretty solid towny brain dump, mac thinking he was 3p doesn't seem like something dizzy would be so scornful of if he actually was just faking not knowing about 3p mechanics. I think he needs to be the teamed wolf if wolf at all, and even though that's consistent with your theory where jack (Glom) tries to save dizzy, it's probably best to chop for Glom first since their flip always gives us more info (excepting kill info) and we have more partner info on them.Spoiler: show
Also note that Dizzy's solve contains a pairing of me/Rondo. Which is literally never a real thought from Dizzy.
If you actually read this post none of these thoughts are logical towny thoughts.
Because I do think you are town because of the falcon thing, but I'm also feeling dizzy pretty townie too. His furstration at EOD yesterday felt pretty legit. But maybe I'm being pocketed since he keeps defending me.
His case against on you looks to me like just tinfoiling tbh. It's silly but sometimes people make those.

I wasn't able to be around EOD, but skimming it felt like a whole bunch of stasis and nothing happening and players wanting to start something else but failing to. Maybe that's the kind of scenario where wolves just wash their hands and let it happen.
My gut says wolves are maybe among the Porschas and Mizeries and NAAs of the game. The people under the radar.

I am not spending 3 hours catching up to that and replying to it. Why? Because of all the hobbies, and socialization and actual useful activities I have to abandon to do so. From 2015 to 2020 I saw myself reducing all of my hobbies to play this game. I'm not ever doing that again. My life is more than mafia.
Nowadays I only play Rackets, due to their post count limit. But I am playing this one, because I made a deal with Nanook for him to play my game.
I see you are the player with the most posts so I will vote for you to see if this game becomes more playable. It helps that you are being kind of a dick and was in my scum shortlist yesterday too.

I’m wrong a lot of the time though.
But Sean agreed.
And he’s right a lot of the time.
Sounds good.
Mac is 1 for 1 so far and is town and his top scumread is pushing Rondo. Also Rondo is absolute wolfchop bait just by the way he plays. Which is to say that yes he hard wolfsides so I don't exactly blame you, but you can tell all of his play is in the name of his endless quest to level 1 solve the game.
Don’t know him though.
Anyway. Carry on.
3P because if the coin post and scum because... reasons?

Porscha is doing that thing where the player goes "Hahaha I am so uncontributive and untownielike in this game!" which ultimately makes it near impossible to read them since it's so self-aware.
I like to yeet players like that eventually.

Re: Ducktales Woo-oo D2
Not caught up.
One thing that pinged me yesterday as I thought about the game later is that LC spent the entire day pushing multiple wagons but never really attacking on falcon, ecen though he seemed to be interacting with falcon on a not very positive way. Like, there was an interaction between the two that falcon used to vote for someone else (forgot who, but I quoted it in that big wall of text post I made). Felt to me like how two wolves would distance while trying to push other wagons.
I was really liking LC's posting style yesterday though, so I guess this is now a neutral read.

This is as game and I don't want to present a freaking thesis every time I say something. Especially since I already said my own points twice. I can go and copypaste all the stuff they said about you, but feels like a waste of time.
Don't expect I won't call you out for what I see as lazy, scummy play

Others... I don't know. Mizery feels like they havent done anything all game even though they posted. I don't like your pursuing of 3P winnning conditions. I disliked Arcbell yesterday but I need to reread to remember why. Everyone else is townie or neutral.
If more people decide to vote for you, I may go back, but if nobody does, so I'm making a stance about the only wagon that seems to have a chance of resulting in a kill now.

I mean, we're playing a game where I sus Mac, and then he SR's me, and I'm the OMGUSSER, so that adds.
