RULES & PROCEDURES

Gameplay
1. Days are 48 hours and take place here.
2. Nights are 24 hours and take place in your cell.
3. All game conversation must take place in this thread or your cell, depending on whether it is Day or Night respectively.
4. The hosts for this game are MovingPictures07 and Spacedaisy. Please PM all game and mechanics questions to both hosts.
5. The Mod on Duty for this game is nijuukyugou. She is there for any of your questions or concerns not strictly related to game or role mechanics. Please PM her with any grievances or concerns you may have at any time, notably including conflicts with other players. Keep the thread fun and clean of emotionally-charged drama or conflicts; PM nijuukyugou instead. We want to keep this game as fun as possible for everyone.

Rules
1. Be respectful and remember that this is a game. Although mafia is a game of deception and can be rather heated, recognize that the game is not personal and that your friends may be lying to you in the spirit of the game. Please treat your fellow players with respect, even if you suspect or strongly disagree with them.
2. No BTSC (Behind the Scenes Contact/Conversation).
3. No editing or deleting of posts.
4. No role outing of yourself or anyone else.
5. No identity outing of yourself or anyone else (i.e., MovingPictures07).
6. No dumping main game or player-specific information into the thread. This includes anything from your past life in the main thread, if you had one, as well as current prison-based information such as your cell number or cellmate.
7. You may, however, alignment claim truthfully or falsely, although it is not necessarily recommended.

Participation
The following behavior constitutes non-participation: If you do not post for more than 72 consecutive hours. If this is committed, it will qualify as non-participation for the purposes of this game. Consequently, any player who fails to post for 72 hours will have their Participation Score (P-Score) penalized. If at any time you are afraid you cannot fulfill this requirement due to any reason, please PM both hosts immediately explaining your situation. There are no replacements in Turf Wars: Prison Edition. Exceptions will be made for unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances.

You may notice that you're split into groups of two. Here is your next challenge:

You will be asked a series of questions which you collectively will answer. The other group will bet on what your answers will be. The betting group starts out with 500 coins; they must have at least 750 coins by the end to win. They can bet as much or as little of their 500 coins as they wish, but cannot bet more than 100 per question.

Here is your first question:

1) Is this group comprised more of Sockface Famiglia or Daisy Crime Syndicate?

You have until Wednesday, March 30th at 2:00AM Eastern to submit your final answer to this first question. You may change your current "final answer" as many times as you wish up until that time, but not a minute thereafter. The most recent "final answer" will be the one that gets officially submitted. Please mark every "final answer" submission as such, or else it will not be counted.

Good luck!

Note also that there is a poll on whom to shank. This is because you failed your last challenge. Please vote for a player to be shanked by end of day.

No need we are both in group #1.

I voted one of the two who didn't participate.

To clarify; anyone reading this thread is part of group 1. The only thing you guys need to do by the deadline for this question is to answer the question. Those in the other group (Group 2, with their own thread that you cannot see) will place bets on what Group 1 is going to answer. You are not betting at all in this thread. That is the responsibility of the other group.

I am here as well. I'm voting for Prisoner 21 blah blah blah - because in yesterday's thread it was mentioned that said prisoner arrived Day 6 and hasn't ever posted. That's baloney!

As for guessing who comprises most of this group - I have no idea. Maybe we can all post at least once, and then guess?

We've decided to grant you a small bit of leniency.

Here is the list of players in Group 1:

Prisoner 126993
Prisoner 331347
Prisoner 413022
Prisoner 419713
Prisoner 541395
Prisoner 640326
Prisoner 714386
Prisoner 792787
Prisoner 920077

To clarify, the question of which family has more representation is in reference to Group 1 only.

Voted with the group. You don't post? You get a shank. Don't participate? You get a shank. Make us lose? Yeah, you get a shank. Any questions?

I'll vote for more from mps group btw

is 219 a no poster or is he the one who spoke English? I missed the conclusion of the last cycle.

Sorry guys, solitary was particularly confining this weekend. :(

Also - I'm confused as to this challenge.

HOSTES WITH THE MOST!!! I HAVE QUESTIONS!!

1) This at this time - we are just answering the question correct? I assume group 2 is doing the same thing, is that also correct?
2) We can decide to answer this however we wish correct?
3) When it is time to guess, is the "correct" answer going to be the true number of people or the number *we* answered with? (If they differ.)

Ok - I guess this whole post was questions. Don't mind me I've had a rough few days in lock down and I'm going to celebrate my freedom by drinking as much toilet wine as possible.

1) This at this time - we are just answering the question correct? I assume group 2 is doing the same thing, is that also correct? You will only answer the questions.
2) We can decide to answer this however we wish correct? Correct
3) When it is time to guess, is the "correct" answer going to be the true number of people or the number *we* answered with? (If they differ.) Group 2 is placing a bet as to what your group's answers will be. If they correctly predict your answers, they win their bets and money for the pot. If they grow the pot enough you all pass the challenge. The correct answer is irrelevant, your group's answer is what they are trying to predict.

Ok - I guess this whole post was questions. Don't mind me I've had a rough few days in lock down and I'm going to celebrate my freedom by drinking as much toilet wine as possible.

219 was one of the no-shows - and apparently he has been present in the prison since Day 6, and has not posted since entering prison. That's the only reason I think he's a better vote than the other no-show for Day 8. (If that makes sense.) He's been a no-show longer. (He was not the English posting dude.)

I am still processing the answers to the other questions. So apparently, we just have a 50/50 shot of guessing the same way the other group guesses. Am I understanding this correctly?

606 or 813. 813 is an original prisoner so that is where my vote would go to, but not sure how the other group would think.

Group 1 answered 219747
Group 2 bet $0 on 153930

You lost this bet, but fortunately you didn't have any money on the line!
The current pot stands at $650

Question 4: Which living player do you think has the Warden role? You have until 9:00 AM central to give me an answer.

Here is the current player roster:
Black Rock
chaindeath
Dom (who replaced Draconus who replaced Mongoose)
Elohcin (who replaced Serge)
Epignosis
Nerolunar
Quin
Scotty
Sloonei
Soneji
SVS
Turnip Head

Yay Group 2 for not betting! Our fellow prisoners are smart cookies! Although, I am super surprised they went with the other prisoner.

This next one, yeesh... this is going to be tough. We have a very small likelihood of getting it right with so many names on the list. I'll stew on it, but I guess my personal guess isn't really that important - what's important is does my guess match Group 2's guess. Seems unlikely.

I want to know how Epi replaced Serge when they were both in the game last I was there?

A question was posed to me by PM that I think I should be clear about here. You have all now been present in the thread. You can speculate here about the who player behind The Warden might be. Even as you discuss this you are still prohibited from saying anything that might reveal YOUR (or any other Prisoner's) real identity or previous role.

Re: [DAY 9] Turf Wars: Prison Edition

Posted: Thu Mar 31, 2016 1:03 am
by Ben Linus
Thank you for the clarification, SD. :daisy:

Any reason in particular you chose Epi? Or just pulling a name out of a hat?

(Please note - I am not judging your choice, simply on a quest for information. Though I do think pulling a name out of a hat is a genuine strategy for this challenge, as the true identity isn't as important as who the other group will name. At the same time, I also think trying to suss out the true identity could be helpful for future Prison Breaks. :dark: )

1 question I would ask prisoners who have been here longer than me - how often have MP and Daisy posted as themselves here for challenges and the like, instead of using the Warden sock puppet account? When was the last time you saw the Warden account active?

Re: [DAY 9] Turf Wars: Prison Edition

Posted: Thu Mar 31, 2016 1:14 am
by Snapshot
I have no reason for Epi. I just don't have a clue. It's a random guess. MP and Daisy have posted as themselves the last few times and I've only been here recently and seen the warden one time.

Ok, I won't be on in the AM before this question window closes. And since I haven't seen anyone else do this yet...

*final answer*
Epi

I am not sure I think he's the Warden, but that is kind of a moot point for our purposes. Since several of Group 1 said Epi, hopefully there's a chance several in Group 2 will say the same thing. (Or else hopefully they don't wager!)

If anyone comes on before the question closes, feel free to trump the Epi answer. Hopefully we'll have more time at some point to really analyze the Warden's identity with everyone involved (all the prisoners) because the more input and minds at work, the better!

Also, we are again having a TON of no-shows so far. :fist:
