Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids. In fact, it's cold as hell.
"And there's no one there to raise them," said Jimmy after putting his shot glass on the bar. "Why they gotta send you, little sister?"
"I'm ready for it."
On the TV, there was coverage of NASA's first manned mission to Mars.
The older brother raised his hand. While he waited for his drink, he said, "What if you find something unwelcome there? Or something that's doesn't welcome you?"
The younger sibling chuckled. "Hardly different than Earth then, is it?"
After sliding off his bar stool, Jimmy squeezed his sister. "Take my last drink. Deanna's gonna be pissed if I don't get home by twelve."
"Are you all right to drive?"
"Are you all right to go to Mars?"
The jukebox played a new song: "Ground Control to Major Tom..."
"David Fucking Bowie," Jimmy said. "I like Boston more."
It is now Day 0. Choose which ship is the best.

Just as the vessel was blown into its course toward Mars, a gregarious astronaut named Walt Stevens had something bubbling searing through his suit. An acidic bubble burst and struck an electronic panel, which sizzled and failed.
"What is on this flight?"
It is now Day 1. You have 24 hours to lynch someone.

bea was thinking about Jimmy, her older brother. She was thinking about how her brother liked Boston but hated David Bowie. She was thinking about the stress of being the captain on this mission.
But thinking was dangerous. Her own crew smothered her in her sleep.
Bea was thinking about all the missing activity when she breathed her last. How nobody cared about her.

To be fair, I probably shouldn't have said that, as it's too close to role hinting or something like that, but considering there aren't listed roles, the game is so small, and it's dumb for me to sit here and even consider you for a vote -- then, that's why I said that.

But you didn't even address why I wasn't in your ring of candidates. By not mentioning me in a ring of only three people besides you, you act as if I'm a confirmed civilian in a game where I was the first person to vote, for a civilian.

Civilians vote for civilians all the time.
I wouldn't say you're 100% confirmed, but more like... I have absolutely no reason to believe you're anything other than civilian, and considering I have no thoughts of the other two players, it's more like 98% confirmed.
