A classic forum game, loved by all, reprised here. The song limit is 20 minutes. :drums: Anyone complaining about "overlong" tracks will be decapitated by their most loved one by robotic command. And remember, your opinion matters. I'll begin.

What is the rating system? Thumbs up/down? One to Ten?

In any case, I can live without it, Thumbs Down, a rating of 4~ she has talent, but this style of music is not for me.

I'd say a 4/5, the instrumentation was really cool but wasn't a huge fan of Ziggy's voice. Pretty little song though.

Meh. 5. It was OK, but I had to play it twice, I forgot to pay attention to it. So....meh.

My mistake, I should've specified. I would propose a 1-5 rating system, that's what I'm used to for these.

And The Stooges will always get a 5/5.

Defs a 5/5 that was sonically interesting and catchy. Can't believe I hadn't heard of that artist before. :O

I will give it 3/5, I like the Meat Puppets version better.

4/5 not my favorite Floyd, the end always gets a little tedious for me, but I still enjoy it greatly.

That was definitely different. The only thing I knew about her before seeing that just now was that she dated PT Anderson way back when. I think it'll grow on me. 4/5

Interesting, but it was a little smooth for my taste, I didn't hate it, but i don't love it either. 3/5

Can definitely tell that Opeth w/ Steven Wilson involved and that brings up my enjoyment of it a little bit but I've never been a huge fan of Opeth. 3/5 because I like the guitar tone.

Mixed feelings~ I LOVE the girl singer and the whole backline, and I also like the fact that this has an almost R & B feel rather than a hardcore feel, I dislike all the self references, though; it is hard to put yourself into the song with someone chanting "Ghostface", lol. I will give it a 4/5 which surprises me, I did not expect to like it at all.

3/5

An urban Decemberists feel initially. I like the song, but the passengers are annoying as all get out.

2/5, NOT a Kanye fan in general, and although sometimes R & B/rap hybrids work (see the Ghostface Killah you posted up there) this time I don't think it does.

This is dated, very, but I love the way these two work together~

3/5 good song overall. And you are right, the two of them do work very well together.

and BTW....I'm not overly fond of Kanye West, either. I do think that he has some brilliant music out there, but I'm so put off by him as a human being.

3/5, solid track, not the most innovative or thrilling, but definitely solid. Good stuff.

^3.5/5. That style of music doesn't resonate with me as much as it used to, but it's still a solid track.

Marathoning Talking Heads' discography today has put me in the mood for this one:

It's Zappa, but not my favorite Zappa, so I say 4.8/5

Earlyish Nick Cave

3.5/5, not bad. I've never listened to them as The Boys Next Door, only The Birthday Party.

Haunting. So Very Haunting. It somehow reminded me of a Mass and something even more pure at the same time. It's not my taste every day, but it was awesome today.

I give it a 5/5.

And with that - I was reading the tread from the start thinking "Imma so gonna post Nick Cave." So thanks SVS for beating me to the punch - and doing it with a more obscure song. It would figure. You are usually about 10 steps ahead of me. ;)

That said - it's my humble offering. Mostly because it's the song I most want to listen to right now. :)
