And Then There Were None...[SPEED GAME]

Welcome to the island! The unwitting guests travel to the island by strange invitation, but will any of them leave alive? Come along for the adventure of Agatha Christie's 'And Then There Were None.' Will the guests solve the mystery and escape before any more of them are killed? Will the mysterious killers succeed in exacting their devious plan? Who are the true baddies and who are the civvies?

This will probably be a game with a set length of time. The story will unfold as each day progresses with more information being revealed to the players. I am playing with the idea of not designating roles as civvie or baddie publicly, but will decide later how this will work. I plan to spend more time fleshing this out in the next month and rereading the novel, but wanted to go ahead and post my concept.

Ten little Soldier Boys went out to dine;
One choked his little self and then there were nine.

Nine little Soldier Boys sat up very late;
One overslept himself and then there were eight.

Eight little Soldier Boys travelling in Devon;
One said he'd stay there and then there were seven.

Seven little Soldier Boys chopping up sticks;
One chopped himself in halves and then there were six.

Six little Soldier Boys playing with a hive;
A bumblebee stung one and then there were five.

Five little Soldier Boys going in for law;
One got in Chancery and then there were four.

Four little Soldier Boys going out to sea;
A red herring swallowed one and then there were three.

Three little Soldier Boys walking in the zoo;
A big bear hugged one and then there were two.

Two little Soldier Boys sitting in the sun;
One got frizzled up and then there was one.

One little Soldier Boy left all alone;
He went out and hanged himself and then there were none.

Roles:
Anthony James Marston - A reckless man.

General John Gordon Macarthur - A retired World War I war hero.

Mrs Ethel Rogers - The cook and housekeeper. She searches every night for her husband Thomas Rogers and will gain BTSC with him.

Thomas Rogers, - The butler and searches every night for his wife Ethel Rogers and will gain BTSC with her.

Emily Caroline Brent - A rigid, repressed elderly spinster holding harsh moralistic principles.

Dr Edward George Armstrong - A Harley Street doctor. He protects a player every night and may rezz one player during the game.

William Henry Blore - a retired police inspector and now a private investigator. Checks a player every night and gains a piece of information. *secrets*

Philip Lombard - a soldier of fortune. He searches every night for Vera.

Vera Elizabeth Claythorne - a cool, efficient, resourceful former teacher and governess. *secrets*

Justice Lawrence John Wargrave - a retired judge, known as a "hanging judge" for liberally awarding the death penalty in different murder cases. *secrets*

Sir Thomas Legge - a detective

Inspector Maine - a detective

Ulick Norman Owen - The mysterious host.

Una Nancy Owen - The mysterious hosts' wife.

Isaac Morris - Hired by Mr Owen to purchase the island on his behalf. *secrets*

Fred Narracott - The boatman who delivered the guests to the island. *secrets*

Ooh, this should be a fun one.

I don't want to live in that universe.

You should have heard her actual, vocal response to seeing the game. :p

This looks pretty sweet, Hedge, and I'm excited to see you'll be hosting your first!

Yay! I think this will be a fun one when I get more time to flesh it out. Llama might have offered to cough cough co-host cough cough, months ago when I first started thinking about this game. We will see how the year goes, if he still up for it when the time comes.

Linki - We have a voice thread. Want to reenact it Daisy? :D

Hedgey - this looks awesome! I love the concept of not knowing which roles are civ and mafia in the lists. That could wreak some fun havoc!

tell llama to help you and like it. :p Or not - I have no doubt you can manage fine alone, I personally just like to have someone along for the ride to help me double check things and also to talk about the game with who knows everything. Host BTS is the best bts tbh...

also re: Daisy and her verbal reaction. Though I was not there, I am fairly sure I can recreate what it sounded like in my head given how much I know she loves mysteries.
I was born to speak all mirth and no matter.... :wine:
