Mechanical notes: The Jailkeeper both protects and blocks. The player targeted by the Jailkeeper may not perform any night actions (if they try, a shot will be wasted), and they are protected from night kills. A player that has been held by the Jailkeeper may not be successfully tracked.
Tracker results will show either "X visited Y" or "No result". Failed or blocked tracks will still show "No result".
All claiming and reveals are legal.

Voting
Voting will be plurality-based with no hammer vote available. I want us to get the full cycle of experiences in Vocaroo Mafia 3 without hammers cutting our game short. However, I will make a single exception: a "No Elimination / Sleep" option will be available in every Day Phase poll, and this option CAN be hammered (when reaching one vote more than 50% of the living player roster).
Please call your votes both in the thread and in the poll. You are permitted to post a naked vote without a recording, but this is the only time such a post a permitted. You don't have to make a two-second recording that says nothing but "voting X", but you can if you want to. Any explanations or deeper dialogues need to be recorded.
Called votes in the thread are not officially counted, but they provide players with a fair opportunity to keep track of when votes were placed. The poll is official, and all eliminations will be decided by the poll alone.

Rules for Recordings
Voice recordings are, of course, the entire point of this game. It is essential then that each post in the game thread contains at least one voice recording (with the exception of naked votes as described above).
Text is still permitted in the game thread, but with significant limitations. A thread filled with nothing but blank Vocaroo embeds and links would be nearly impossible to navigate, so we will use minimal text for the purpose of labeling. Each post may contain a maximum of FOUR words of text per recording (so a post with two separate recordings can include eight words, but please do not abuse this by spamming tiny recordings). They can be used to label a link or attached to an embed.

We won't set a maximum length for each recording. However, be mindful that extremely long recordings might be difficult for players to interact with if they aren't in a state of total free time (e.g., imagine trying to play a 15-minute recording of a Mafia post while at work).
Posting Maximum
We'll set the daily post cap at 75 posts. However, this cap is lifted one hour prior to the end of each Day Phase, so you may exceed that number during the final hour if you desire. This is a relatively low cap, because listening to recordings (especially repeatedly) can be more time consuming than reading text would be. This will help to keep the game manageable.
Mafia-aligned Team
Be aware that the mafia team will have an ordinary Discord space to communicate, and it will be open at all times during the game. They will not be required to communicate with recordings in their own space.

Note about toxicity and culture of play
I've already posted the links to the site rules, guidelines, and philosophy regarding respect. All of those things apply as they do to any Syndicate game. However, I want to really emphasize that respect is critical in this game. You will be quite literally speaking to each other, and this leads to a more personal and, perhaps, provocative environment. Please treat each other with respect at all times, and if you ever become frustrated about the game and think you might want to say something ugly, get in touch with @Justplayingitcool and/or myself instead of posting an unfortunate recording in the game thread. I am sure everything will be fine; it has been so in the previous Vocaroo games. Nonetheless, if something happens that I don't believe to be in alignment with these expectations, I will act severely.
