This is a game about the hazards on the highway. Some folks are just trying to commute to work. Others have different plans…

Game Rules

48/24 hour phases; thread locked at night
hammer is active*
claiming is legal
all flips revealed
please vote both in thread and in the poll to count
ties result in randomized lynching
no double targeting
no angleshooting or outside game involvement
no behind the scenes communication unless you are mafia
remember it’s just a game
about things on highways
hey, look, see, we all get road rage from time to time; please bring that up with the Moderator on Duty (MoD) and do not bring it into the game.
have fun and drive safe!

*I will do my best to be as active as I can, but I do have a job and have to sleep and won’t be around all the time to monitor for hammer, so I trust that the players will abide by not switching votes after hammer is reached; in turn I will do my best to change the day out as soon as I can.

Playing games on The Syndicate comes with agreement of a measure of respect for your fellow competitors:
A Note on Respect

We are all here to have fun and play a game, and if I or the moderators on duty (MoDs) deem you are playing against this modicum of respect, you will receive a warning and may be modkilled or asked to be replaced.

That being said, I want to nip that in the bud before it happens. We all have lives outside of the game, and sometimes it can bleed into the game. But please reserve that for real life, and not the game. If you are having trouble separating real life and the game, or just need to get things off your chest, PLEASE PLEASE utilize the MoDs. Not every site has this kind of outlet or opportunity for the players, and the MoDs are literally there to help you dispute issues you may be having.

Please remember that every other player is also human. We all make mistakes. None of us are perfect. Treat others with respect and exercise self-care if you feel yourself beginning to get angry or upset at the game. If you need to vent and have no one to turn to, messaging a MoD is an excellent decision to make. We are also available for reports of any suspected rule breaking--please keep those discussions and accusations out of the game thread. Consider us your lifeline so that the game state remains healthy and exciting for everyone!!
