Setup:

48/24 - closed nights.
70 posts max per day phase. 5 post minimum requirement.

There are two factions: Pandas and Trash Pandas.

Pandas (11)

- Do not have BTSC
- Win the game when all Trash Pandas are eliminated.

1 Leader of the Pandas (known as Red Panda)

- Is confirmed by the host at the start of the game.
- May remove one player each day at EoD (they choose the yeet target basically).

Other 10 Giant Pandas (doctors)

- May protect one player from Trash Panda kills each night.
- Only has 4 shots. After those shots are used, cannot protect anymore.
- Self-protecting is allowed, but only once per Giant Panda.

Trash Pandas (4)

- Have BTSC.
- Win the game if they either eliminate the Leader (Red Panda) at any time, or win at parity.
- On odds nights, the Trash Pandas make one kill together. The kill will work if no Giant Pandas are protecting their target.
- On even nights, if there are 2 or more Trash Pandas alive, the faction can perform up to 2 kills. If both kills aim for the same target, they will only survive if being protected by at least 2 Giant Pandas. If they aim for different targets, a single Giant Panda may stop each kill.

This game does not have yeets. The Red Panda will basically be responsible for carrying the town faction's kill, or in this case, caging the Trash Pandas and returning them into the wild. There will be a poll to help the players organize the discussion, but that poll has no effect on gameplay, and the Red Panda makes the final decision on who to kill at EoD!

- 48/24 - closed nights.

- This game is divided into day phases and night phases. Day phases are when the Red Panda makes their choice of who to capture and release back into the wild. They must send a target to the host within 48 hours, or I will pick it at random. They cannot make a final choice BEFORE 24hrs of the day has passed but can pick at any time after that. Day ends (as it would a hammer) once they have chosen their target.

- Night phases are when the Giant Pandas and Trash Pandas send their actions. Actions will be accepted 23 hours after the end of day write-up is posted. No night posting in the thread. The Trash Pandas will have a 24/7 BTSC chat available to them. No one else will have BTSC.

- There will be a poll for voting on players to help Red Panda decide on a target, but it will have no effect on actual target of each day's yeet, and is used just to help organize the discussion. Voting in it is not mandatory!

- You must post at least 5 times per day phase and a maximum of 70 posts per day phase. Failure to post at least 5 times will be considered inactivity. If you are inactive on two different days, I may modkill you. No replacements will happen in this game.

- Double targeting is allowed.

- Do not engage in angle-shooting, which means using information from outside of the game to obtain advantage in it. That includes, but is not limited to, making bets or oaths in real life or posting screenshots to prove anything. I will modkill players who try break this rule to influence the outcome of the game.

- This is what the Giant Panda role card looks like:

- anyone engaging in excessive AtE will be modkilled. Let's keep it competitive but friendly and healthy. Contact your mods Syn and sabie if you have any frustrations with the game or other players.

You have a mission, and that mission is to eliminate all Trash Pandas. To do so, you must protect Red Panda at all costs as well or you will be ruled by Trash Pandas instead!!!

Your chosen Red Panda Ruler is : NANOOKTHEGREATANDFEARSOME ----- he is the only one whose vote actually counts at EOD. He decides each day phase who leaves the game and who can stay! Your alliance is to him.



Giant Pandas, your job is to protect him, and to help guide him in getting rid of the traitorous Trash Pandas between you!

I'm not too concerned about that. I've already secured my seat to day 2 because I know Nanook will mind-meld with the read.

Not sure how hardcore your truth meta is in this case tbh, like theres no work to fake claim the only available town role. But some players have truth metas that are like a religion and they'd rather self-modkill than break them.

He's gonna need redundancy saves as well

I'm trying to calculate what would be an acceptable level of risk, but basically, we determine what the acceptable level of risk is, then we all roll 1d6 (or whatever the acceptable risk level is... 1d8, etc)... On a 1 you don't save Nanook, you instead save someone else (we coordinate this to ensure no overlap). This way, scum have no safe kills.

Let's say Scum targets Nanook each night, what probability do we want of winning the game? I think this is how we need to look at it.

Then it's just simple backtracking the math from there.

Like if our win probability is 90%, scum can't target Nanook unless they need a hail mary, but at that point, we change up to something more guaranteed.

I thought about something like this:

Odd-nights: wolves have one kill. Therefore, we nominate three trusty players to protect NANOOK and everybody else rolls a dice (1/3 or 1/4) to protect someone else they expect wolves would try to kill.

Even-nights: wolves have two kills. Therefore, we nominate four or five trusty players to protect NANOOK and everybody else rolls a dice.

I think one strategy is to make players who expect to die earlier to save first. I think the trusty players should be those most likely to be nightkilled early and the everybody else, instead of a dice, decides if they're likely to die (either to nightkill or lynch) and if they are they protect someone they expect wolves to nightkill.

Also, for anyone who's confused, this isn't a mafia game, it's a statistics problem, with a side of mafia for Nanook to play.

We have four kills each so optimization would be to most players save their protects and only the players who we expect to die early should be using their protects.
