The actual game we know as Chess will be relevant to the Mafia game. The Mafia game will not be especially unorthodox though. Disregard the divisions above; they're no longer accurate.

Closed setup. Character claiming is illegal, but role claiming and info-dumping are not.

What's the difference between character claiming and role claiming?

I loved to play chess growing up but stopped when there was no one left to play against. I've recently been getting back into it, so this feels timely.

I'm making a little tweak, and this will no longer be the case. It'll still be similar though.

Now that I have allowed myself to realign the pieces, I can probably make any number of players work. I'll set 11 as the minimum.

If I get 11 I can start before the end of this weekend.

I just this very minute... won! My opponent fell apart at the end, trading their rook for my bishop, and then moving their queen into danger.

I prefer live chess. I like being able to read my opponent. Internet chess is very cold.

16 is ideal, 11 is the minimum. We've been in sign-ups for a while now, and we need a game.

Keep in mind that this one should move quickly, especially with 11 players, at 24/24 cycles. We'll be finished in no time.

Back to ten. I might just go with that.

I will give it a bit more time though.

As long as we hold at 10, I'm still starting tonight. It may not be midnight now, but it'll be before I fall unconscious.
