The rules that govern this dream are different from the first.
Repressed. Forgotten. Irrelevant. Sights, sounds, and smells you'd thought were from another lifetime suffocate you in a sensory nostalgia of an intensity you never imagined. Not all of it is good. The shadows are especially dark here.
Voting in this dream level will no longer take place in a poll. You will no longer call your votes in the thread. Both of these are banned. Voting must be handled PRIVATELY. At any time during the subconscious phase, you may place a vote by sending a personal message to both hosts: JaggedJimmyJay and Sloonei. You may change your vote at will as many times as you like. The hosts will not provide any tally.
Likewise, each of the following is prohibited on this dream level:
~ Stating who you will vote for.
~ Recommending others vote for any specific player.
~ Rainbow lists
~ Any other obvious actions which do or can reduce your potential vote with certainty to a single player.
~ Compile a public count of potential votes, even if uncertain, based upon content in the thread.
What can you do?
~ Build a case or cases.
~ Review an ISO.
~ Engage in real-time discussion featuring accusations, defenses, or whatever other ordinary talking points which do not equate to "I will be voting for Player X" or anything similar.
~ Project your vote to a group of three or more players minimum.
~ Recommend others vote within a group of three or more players minimum.
If you want to say something and are uncertain whether it would fall in line with these rules or the intended spirit of these rules, ask the hosts privately first. Just to clarify!
Stating an intent to vote for a specific player overtly is illegal. Given that there is potentially obvious subtext in similar commentary such as "Player X is mafia", that should also be avoided. If that was a lynch, I'm glad I don't have contact with those responsible.
We'll find out what happened there eventually, though we can be aware that the scum janitor is one of the roles left up top.
And I'm interested in how these levels got grouped the way they are. Since it's likely not RNG, the question is if the GMs are controlling it with a clear criteria or if a player has the power to pick who moves down levels and who stays behind.
Since if it's player controlled we can probably divine information based on who was left behind and who kept going, at least at this stage of the game. The first drop was too large to really pin down, while going from 15 to this is fairly manageable in terms of intent reading.
There are nine of us, which makes the "Rule of Three" more manageable. Perhaps we should all list our trio to begin with, and see what names appear the most in order to generate a baseline regarding the initial collective mindset of this thread.
Man this is tough. Can't even go back and look at stuff to try and figure it out and any exercise I can think of to prompt people is so easy to just fake. Hmm.

From a mechanics perspective, if it's player controlled it could create imbalance in the different levels in terms of how many mafia are in each. (Unless, e.g., the mafia chose but had a limit how many they could bring or something.) I think it's likely GM-controlled, perhaps somewhat randomised or connected to certain roles pre-rand or something.
I guess my trio would have to be Jackofhearts, iaafr and Dom but it's more of an "I don't know and they've been hard to read" trio than a "I have a good reason to think they're scum" trio.

I was thinking the same. We can easily do three tiers of three or something.
(I predict I end up in more than a few bottom 3s. )

8/10 times its a mason, 1/10 times it's a different role, and 1/10 is that it was targeted by a janitor. Odds are that it was just a mason slot.
And I realise I'm alone on my Eva read, so yes, we can discuss that today and you can all tell me why I'm wrong.
I want to try to play this round as D1 in a 9 player game. I don't know that mentally I can do that, since I can't forget prior feelings and all, but I plan to try.
