The last game I played here was the game where you and I were bad together with some others and we both lasted until the end and won. Remember how controversial that was? So the last look the syndicators had of me I was bad and some think they are seeing my bad game in this game. There isn't a lot of difference between my bad game and my good game so I can understand that. Also, people could be reaction testing, especially those that aren't giving a reason. I try to look at suspicion when I'm town as a guard against being night killed so I'm not completely bummed.
Your manner of thought is alien to me, Master Radishes. Despite being concerned with "reads", you do not appear to actually take notice of what I wrote. You open your post by contradicting my implied assertion that passiveness and politeness are not identical, and then act as if that contradictory statement would remove my objection to your question, which it did not. In addition, I am unable to imagine how an expectation of "passivity" (or the absence of this expectation) would impact your ability to "form a read"; if you could educate me in this respect, I'd be much obliged.Master Radishes wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 8:51 amPoliteness is a form of passivity.Elephant wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 8:46 amI am not convinced that the premise of your question is correct. Any light you could shed on these issues would be welcome.
I haven't noticed Mac for better or for worse so far. He always posts a lot, from what I've seen. Doesn't mean he's contributing to gamesolving.
Question for you, Pachyderm: do you always have such a passive tone to your posts?
I wouldn't say your engagement level is passive, but the tone of your posts comes across as such. "Should that concern me?"; "Any light you could shed on these issues would be welcome"; etc = passive phrasing.
I just want to know if this is what I can expect from you so I can put it aside when forming a read.

I think Pawn Lelouch is town tooPawn Lelouch wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 3:08 amSoul reading town for both.
Creature + Jack if T/W is always scum Jack imo, but leaning T/T rn. Creature is reminding me of town Creature from that game I try to repress.
112 I noticed in your ISO you mentioned Benson was pinging you and then a little later you posted the above. Can you talk about your suspicion? I haven't seen anything about Benson that makes me think scum but this is my first exposure to them.

Shortly your reads for now are Rej and Juliet scum and Pawn and LLD town? Asking to be sure if i understood.
i took some notes if it's post 358 i will find it. If is another one, please link itjuliets wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 9:33 amI have a town read on Jack right now for reasons I explained last night (I will link it if you are not reading back).Spoiler: show
I'm wary of nova because town nova posts a lot at the beginning of games, throwing out reads left and right and pushing others to do the same.
Mac so far reads as town Mac to me - putting some early reads out there and engaging with others.
I will do some ISO's today later because I know there are others I have opinions about they just aren't coming to mind right now.
I don't really have any sus on you tho, I guess I did briefly but it wasn't much of a real read, d0 and all just generating content

Oh it totally makes sense, town has similar perspective to spec chat as "default"/lack of info. Jack I think has talked about this? Maybe Jay lolMichelle wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 6:15 amExcuse me for my intervention but since then the spec chat attitude is giving meta for a player?Master Radishes wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 6:11 am

wrong again, drago
He seems caught in the headlights and a little bit stilted. It's very much a meta read as I'd expect civ Benson to be more vocal and have a little more of a focus/point to his posts, even this early. And he's not against posting lists per se, but iirc he doesn't like people sharing them this early.
Ok, thanks. I will keep that in mind.112 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 10:34 amHe seems caught in the headlights and a little bit stilted. I shouldn't say he's against lists here; that was wrong or doesn't really apply cuz it was just a few reads and early gut feelings he posted. It's just that he doesn't usually throw around takes like that- without substantiation on seemingly random names.juliets wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 10:36 amOk, thanks. Your Nova read would be fine, if it wasn't for the fact that scum Nova does the same thing. You were reading the Cats and Dogs game right? You should know that Nova throws reads left and right as scum too so his lack of activity here is NAI. It bothers me how you're actually trying to use it against him when you should know better.juliets wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 9:33 amI have a town read on Jack right now for reasons I explained last night (I will link it if you are not reading back).Michelle wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 9:16 amnice take. Drago, I did not read Cats and Dogs. I read the last of it (maybe a page) when the game ended to see who won and congratulated different people based on what I saw in the end. So, I did not see nova throw reads left and right.
