Seems like we're in basically the same place! I'm also at work full time and working on completing PhD applications. Most are actually due in a week or so, so I'm kind of stressing out -.-
Where are you applying? What for?
I understand that (somewhat); one of my university's applications is due December 15, and it's beginning to freak me out. I know I will get it done, but I'm definitely starting to feel the burning deadlines. Especially because right now work is in slow time (AKA only 40 hours a week), I keep telling myself I need to get all of these done as soon as I can (among other things).
I am applying for my PhD in Accounting and specifically I am looking into the topical area of Auditing, so I'm mostly looking at universities that are known for strong Audit-based programs, though I am also open to Financial. I picked up a job at CPA firm nearly half a year ago now, right after I finished passing the last part of the CPA exam, and it has been incredibly good experience, but during certain times of the year it is intense. Because of tax extensions, 9/15 and 10/15 deadlines were a busy time for me, and I realize that the regular tax season will be likely even busier.
How about you?
I have 8 applications and they're almost all due December 1st :'( I'm going for microbiology and/or oceanography type programs, although I'm not working in a lab like that right now. I technically work ~40 hours a week but the lab is pretty lax and no one really cares when I come or go.
That deadline sucks, and I wish you good luck getting them all complete! I have 11 applications that I'm working on; it's insane just how much work goes into them.
That sounds awesome! I've always thought oceanography to be pretty intriguing.

This conversation is boring. I'm bored now, and I want it to stop.

A high school acquaintance of mine back in HS used to pull that stunt often. I knew how to fake taking the blow so that it looked real but didn't hurt much.

Ha, that's actually pretty cool (your ability to fake it, that is).

That first one is the Van Daminator. I didn't get to include Rob Van Dam in the game, which is too bad, he always has cool stuff to do.
Ah, cool. I never watched much, but my favorites were always Rey Mysterio
and the Undertaker
Erm...close enough...

Yes, that is true!
I personally much prefer the dark background, but that's just me. I do know some others prefer the white!

Welcome!
Thank you
Is there no way to do multi quotes here?
You know, I know this has been asked before, but it's been a while. I don't think it technically does, but I thought there was a way around it.
Personally, whenever I want to respond to several things, I just open new tabs of quotes and combine them into one tab. I do know the multiquote feature is more handy though.

Maybe S~V~S will know for certain.
Ok, thanks. Hopefully I wont' need it too much, since I hear you talk less here

Just did it.
Once you quote, it goes into full edit mode. When in this mode, look below the text box and there's a small archive of posts that you can scroll through. Clicking "quote" on any of those should add it to your text box as another quote.

Going to bed now. Thanks for the warm welcome
Good night
No problem. I'll let you know for sure (or if I don't, I'll make sure someone else does). Haha, well, we certainly talk less here, but I don't think I talk less here.
You're very welcome, I know I'm always stoked to have new players!
Linki: Nice job, MR!! Interesting... how did I of all people not know that?
We're crawling, slothlike, towards having enough players!
Thanks, I know nothing about WWE, but I was just now looking at the roles, and that was a very creative list.

W00t! Glad to have you aboard!
Thanks, I'm going to be the one going WTH in this game, ha?
So, since this is very different than the way I'm used to playing, is this the right place to ask questions? Because I have a lot....
This is good for a basic introduction to some of the rules of the games here. Probably a good one for you since you are used to different rules. This is more about forum etiquette. If you have any questions after that, feel free to ask them here!
