That's a good idea. Here is one of my clues.

The 1st row is all palm trees

The diagonal from top right to bottom left are all palm trees in a straight line.

We should start a fish list so the fishers know who to feed. Sorsha with the fishing gear is amazing, so hopefully there is enough for all. I am full, so I don't need to be on that list. Maybe people who need things should bold it or put it in large letters so the fishers and healer know who to help in order.

Did anybody over here eat? I think we were all fed and healed by the last challenge, so if all of you guys need to eat, you should make a point of letting fishers know it.

Hopefully assuming we brought the gear and the chicken with us food will stop being an issue.

I disagree with giving one correct clue and one false clue. I think if this is going to be solved then we need to work together honestly until it comes down to the end when we really have to turn on each other. Maybe it will get me voted off. So be it. I'm no good at puzzles like these. I can't gety head wrapped around them. So...I will do what I can to help solve it. And what I can do is give you guys two truthful clues. Hate me...I don't care. I'm just trying to do what I can to contribute.

As an addendum to merging, the new tribe is in possession of:
-fishing gear
-a chicken

For the uninformed, the chicken produces an egg every night to restore 1 hunger to a random player. If a player PM's me, he/she may eat the chicken and immediately restore 3 hunger. This will end all chicken benefits for the tribe.

I am doubling back on the rules to the challenge and have decided not to release the rest of the puzzle clues to the public at all. Happy guessing!

I think this is what we are currently dealing with, unless I misunderstood. So far, I see no reason that the idol couldn't be literally anywhere, but maybe this helps some people.

I don't think everyone should guess today. Combining our "no shared water borders except in the river" with the clue that "the idol is on a water source" and "bordered by 5 water and 3 trees"...

The idol HAS to be on the river. No exceptions, thanks to our other clues about water. There are only 5 or so reasonable guesses.

And dang, no sharing fish. Those with the lowest hunger need to get some fishies.

the fourth row and the fourth column have an identical pattern from left to right/top to bottom respectively

the 3rd row has exactly 4 palm trees
