Great games, guys, and I especially want to give props to the other baddie team for completely blindsiding us so far into the game! We had no idea of who you guys were pretty much until there were no other options left.

You know what's awful? Starting the games as a civvie with two lives, being suspected enough to presumably not be lynched, and still die as early as possible. :sigh: Still had a lot of fun following the game after that (didn't even make it a fifth of the way through :p), and and, also want to give props to Dana for a great first full game! It was clear by the time you died that the civs weren't gonna win, but you made it to the very end and only died because of a lynch switch. Made me proud. :srsnod:

DP, Roxy. You guys were amazing. It only took me 3 days of your game to be completely addicted to Mafia again. :srsnod: I really enjoyed the secret roles format, and actually look forward to more games like this in the future. Good job!

Can we also just take a moment to appreciate Bullzeye for what a great player he is? He won practically every challenge in the game, and despite all the setbacks he won the game. It only made sense to kill him in the end (well, I probably would've killed Boogs, but I recognize I'm biased :p), but most wouldn't have lasted as long as Bullz did. I know you're taking a break, but take this win, and hope to play with you again in the future!
I agree, Bullzeye rocked the house this game. And DP and Rox hosted one hell of a game, it's a shame I had to go so early!

Night 9 -
Dana - told King Arthur received at least one vote Day 9
Bea - insults LoRab
LoRab - tried to kill Juliets

Juliets - ended the night early - no one knew
No night actions went through - She had saved herself

Day 11 - Bea was lynched and she was Guard of the Castle of Guy de Loimbard

Night 11 -
LoRab - attempts to kill Boogs

Day 12 - LC is almost lynched but hey he is a bit hard to kill - no attempts had been made previous to this - he still is at full power (ie: All his limbs are still attached to his body)

Night 12 -
Boogs - Check LoRab for KOTRT - She is not a KOTRT
LC - Kills Juliets

Day 13 - LoRab switches the lynch to Dana who was Patsy

fwiw - rico - we thought you were a civ when we killed you. :p We had the WORST luck for not killing civs. Your recruitment took us by surprise!
I've been waiting ALL game to tell you that.

And yes - bullz did a FANTASTIC job. I really thought at first boogsy was bad when he came out flying after we silenced him. I wasn't lying in those posts where I said "I thought he was civ all game."

I <3 my team!!

I assume Boogs got the same info as I did every other night (although I don't see it written in his role, but I only skimmed). I was rather amused when I figured that out.

And I would argue that he didn't really info dump because the information was pretty ambiguous, and may or may not have been true.

@LC: How did you know I had tried to kill you?

No LoRab Prince Herbert got the info only splints got it every night not every other night.

Boogs could only find out if someone was a KOTRT on even nights.

Yes, as Rox said, I got that info too. Hence the more than a feeling video :) Had I survived I would have not trusted LC as much since I found it a bit weird he put together that it was some sort of hint, but didn't say anything about it after I was died and revealed to be that role. :p

Seriously awesome game Roxy and DP! I really loved the team challenges even though I am the slowest computer person ever.

I cannot believe how this game ended! LC - you had me convinced at the end that you were indy too. Well played you guys seriously. Both baddies teams were really amazing this game. I clearly need to listen to my instincts better next time. I only started to even suspect some of you right before I was lynched, because there were still so many baddies it turned out. :haha: I loved how you kept vouching for each other too.

Lorab - props for the last minute figuring out of LC. Great post. :D

Dana's vote for bea was the best. I have seriously wanted to do that myself sometimes, but never have yet.

And hey to my Zoot ladies, julietzoot and ninjazoot!

His comment was aimed right at Arthur....Patrelli. :p

You ladies rocked. We made it so far.

Who ended night early on the night that the prizes were going out for whatever contest that was that only Knuk and Bea that entered (picture or poem or something)? Had that gone longer, we would have gotten rez to win and rezzed MR, a confirmed civ, who would have been on our team because KNuk had found him (after he was dead, lol). But then I didn't think of that or vote until it was too late. Interesting how the game would have played out if that happened.

Thank you to hosts and teammates and all the players, really, for an amazing game. I haven't had this much fun playing mafia in a very long time. Thanks for ending my brief hiatus and making it a good comeback.

Lorab, great Mafia detective work at the end there, everything you said was exactly right. I just wish that you had gone for the golden apple I was offering - if only you had killed Boogs that night, thinking I would vote to lynch Bullz and win with you.

Boogs, sorry I had to lead you on like that. I figured that you would choose Lorab to win if I had let it slip at all in the end there.

Juliets.... ah, Juliets. I :) probably couldn't have done this without you. You brought up the notion that I was Indy just like in King Arthur on Rev, and I was like... yes... yes I am! It was my ticket to victory.

I truly regret that Bullzeye did not live to the end, we were so close buddy! You lost a coin toss, that's all it came down to. Well, that or Lorab's crazy baddie sense of honour toward Boogs. :wall: Great teammate.

I want to apologize to Bullz and Boogs for the scathing posts I made on their gameplay. I cast them in the worst light that I could in order to try and trick Lorab into believing that I would choose to win with her as an Indy, but only as long as she nightkilled Boogs instead of Bullz... but it was to no avail. Great game, both of you!

lol - ok - so for the record: Star Wars - rouge baddie - killed all our civ Jedi to win the game.
Sword of Truth - decieved my entire civ team to win the game.
FIght Club - Recruited police who won with the baddies and sold out the civs.
Monty Python. Baddie baddie baddie. :p

Am I missing a game *we* have played together? Because really, I'm not joking about my paranoia about you. This is the score I have for every game we've played together....

I truely felt bad about saying stuff like lc is always bad. Especailly since I know in *theory* you are a good civ. I just don't think I've seen it to know the difference. :p

Had I realized you were bad just 24 rl hours earlier--or 48 hours ealier, things would have been entirely different. Alas. Frigging FEB. :feb:

And everything I said was honest end game (whole game, really, other than "I'm civ")--I didn't think I had a chance at all. And I did the best I knew how. I completely respect how you played it out. And I would have done the same. Hell, even if you were civ or indy, I would have played it out how you did.

As for killing Bullz, it wasn't just sense of honor--it also made more sense for me. Especially thinking at that point that she was the only other baddie out there. Fuck. I should have realized your shenanigans when you went with "oh no boogs is bad!" and switched my kill to you then. I had suspected an even/odd thing and didn't want to risk another nk on boogs regardless. Part of why I felt good making a deal with him (also honor).

Bea: Yeah, I probably die early a lot as a Civ. I died in a couple of recent shorter games as a Civ... I was Band of Brothers (the Protector) in TV Show Mafia, and I died early as a Civ in the Internet Meme Mafia recently as well... beyond that, my recollection gets hazy from before my Mafia Hiatus for over a year.

Lorab: FEB!! :feb: Tell Diamond Dog.

I know you were being honest, because everything you said could not have been more right. You are a very smart lady. I thought the game was in the bag, then you started in on me, and I was like, "damn, she could actually pull this right out from under me!" So I had to keep laying it on thicker and thicker. It was a real challenge to figure out how to post "kill Boogs and win with me!" without pissing off Boogs. Didn't work on you anyway. :)

I can't believe we could have killed Boogs any time, since we killed on even nights. I truly believed he just couldn't die until all the Knights of the Round Table were dead.

How did you lynch-switch to Dana? Was that a prize?

If you had chosen to try to kill me in the end, you would have been met with a 1 in 3 chance of success. So you never know.

I did. And it's so ironic that I would have died that night had I not ended it. I had a night stop and a lynch stop. I never had to use the lynch stop though it came close a couple of times. If I hadn't had to worry about myself I would have used it later in the game to stop one of the civ lynches.

As for you Long Con, yes I'm aware that i'm the one who decided you must be indy because you were acting just like you did in king authur. Thanks for bringing that up.

Well that makes you a lying liar. Very nice lying, actually, I will be sure to reference the quality of your deception in future games. You're BLACK, Kettle!!

One of the few things I lied about this game. But yeah. I had no choice.

I can't believe the dismal Civvie track record in the Jobs section of the Hall of Fame. Wow! Do we need more powerful Civvie teams in this meta?

It's an issue I've tried to address here:

http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... ?f=8&t=404

I find two reasons for the rampant string of Mafia victories:

1. Overpowered Mafia with an unbalanced ratio.
2. Apathetic or uninvested civilians.

It could also be civvies that play their roles as individuals rather than as members of a team; everyone wants to be a chief, no one wants to be an Indian. And civvies need Indians more than chiefs; too many chiefs, and the Indians lose interest. A trend I have noticed here is the civvies waste too much time suspecting each other becasue they are not even trying to play together or as a group.

I could be wrong, but IMO the games here are not any more out of, or in, balance than they are, or were, anywhere else

Are you implying that all Native Americans are followers?

:p

Seriously, I think the issue is more that, in a full game, there's 48 hours to talk, but many people (mostly civilians) will wait until the last few hours to "catch up" and vote. These people have not allowed themselves the luxury of processing and digesting the information. Then what ends up happening is that they vote between the two (or three) people who have the most votes (or self vote- even worse) and call it a day. They're okay because it isn't them. If I have one skill as a FEB, it's forcing the false dilemma between two civilians. And most of the time it works like a charm. :feb:

You deserve it, although if Boogs had tried to kill someone other than you it would have been a mighty close shave.

There's one by-product of having to survive as a civvie to win. Because civvies are trying to fly under the radar, they blend in with the baddies. It should be the other way around.
