All times of the day: bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. I mean, I guess I could have that for any meal for the rest of my life. Especially on a New York bagel ;airguitar:

The very first time I saw Inception blew my little mind. Or to go back and enjoy the first time I played Breath of the Wild.

No no, I wanna go back to my 9th birthday party and relive split screening Diddy Kong Racing, the epic water balloon fight around my house and the sleepover that ensued sugar-high off of Sunny D and Capri suns.

I miss split screening in general :(

She’s not exactly a video gamer, but I wouldn’t mind pulling in some games for the switch like Overcooked. She’s not into the FPS or racing games really. Definitely not Rocket League.

I miss some good ole 4 player Perfect Dark or Goldeneye or Halo. Oh man, I used to be so good at sniping with a pistol in the original Halo. I’m too uncoordinated for those kinds games now tho :ninja:

I have terrible wide flat feet. Makes dancing difficult. Im a 12.5Wide. Always hard to find the right shoe size.

> Have you ever seen the Northern Lights?
Yep! I tried seeing them in Norway in the summer. Not a good time.
Finally saw them on a cruise up to Alaska. I dunno, it wasn’t as impressive as I was hoping. They were mostly imperceptible to the naked eye, but were vivid through a professional camera at like 2 in the morning.

> Would you rather live secluded from the rest of the world or close to relatives?
Oh, secluded for sure. My relatives are great to see every soooo often (some of them) but I don’t need to see them all that often. Like, I’ll go to a real fancy restaurant once a year. I only need to see my tornado incarnate great aunt once every decade.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and I could have it for every meal. Bacon egg and cheese bagel like I said earlier is my favorite.
But chocolate chip pancakes, some a salmon Benedict, some fresh berries.
Eggs in a hole, baked apple turnovers (it’s a breakfast thing), sausages, toast, bacon, hard boiled egg.

Pick any combination of the above.

Pancakes all the way. Waffles are just shittier pancakes. Crepes are also a food that exists.

The MMORPG I played for like 10 years through my childhood was Asheron’s Call. 12 year old me had many vassals and most of the time we would just hang out at my monarch’s mansion and talk about life. I think all of my friends were like 40. Kinda weird now that I think of it.

Nowadays I can’t play online games for fear that I’ll get lost in them. Played Path of Exile back in 2013 and would start questing at dinner time and I’d look back at the clock and it’d be 8 in the morning. I have no discipline for that shit and don’t need the ‘pull’ in my life any more. :sigh:

YES

I pick my nails a lot. No biting. But it’s a bad habit. I used to discard the clippings wherever, but started stepping on them and finding them. My stupid brain never registered that they didn’t just go ‘poof’ like the garbage on the street does.

Now I find a trash can for my clippings.

I consider myself of the core view that women should all have the basic civil rights as men. And I feel it’s so important for every man to have a woman in their life that they care about and can better understand their viewpoints (that isn’t their mother). That’s how empathetic bonds form between the genders.
Women still get paid less for doing the same work. That ain’t cool. Every time a man catcalls or makes a patronizing remark, an angel loses their wings, as they say. There’s still so much work to be done.

Dunno if that makes me a feminist or not.

Nope! I wish I could say I were more of a Trekkie to summon up the exact season and episode. I’m mostly a TNG enthusiast. There was one episode I saw like in the middle of the series where they were stuck in this temporal loop before the ship explodes. That one really stuck with me as a kid and happened to be the one I saw that got me interested in the show

Old Bay! It goes on literally anything and it’ll taste like grilled meat! Potatoes, Ice cream, coleslaw

I keep it simple with oil and vinegar so I can taste all the goodies that attempt to make salads actually palatable like nuts, mandarin oranges, wontons oh I’m hungry

Oh missed the last one-

I don’t like dessert wines and I only have coffee in the morning. So I’ll do cheesecake with my coffee in the morning if I had a choice :)

Wow thanks juliets!

Not particularly. IRL I’m more self deprecating in public, which seems to brighten up the spirits of those around me. When I was younger I would often go out with my uncle to public places and we’d just feed off of each other and create banter in a running improv skit of sorts, which has helped me in todayland, and has kept me from turning into a frog.

More importantly tho, I’m in the performing arts and I like creating. My mind is always whirring..which is a blessing and a curse. This means I’m never bored because in the downtime I’m always crafting something in my head. But lately I’m also less grounded and up in the clouds in day to day life.

I have several friends that I think of as the funniest people I know. And they never show it, but they’re tormented inside based on BTSC. I think this is overgeneralizing but I feel those that constantly use humor in their everyday life are distracting from deep seated issues they’ve chosen to ignore. I’d like to think I don’t have those sort of issues IRL and have the awareness of not hiding behind the yuckyucks. Online I can have a degree of obscurity so I do tend to have more of a bizarro or biting humor all the time, if that makes sense?

Yes Scotty, that makes a ton of sense. In fact, I have had close relationships with a few people who are incredibly funny, the keep-you-in-tears kind of funny, and brilliant as well and all of them have been deeply tormented inside. It doesn't mean all funny people are tormented of course but I think your observation has merit. And yeah, online obscurity grants a lot of freedom and I'm so happy you use yours to be humorous!!!

>Yard game- my dad once taught me how to play lawn darts on a bright sunny day when I was kid- that started “The incident” and I never played that one again.
So I’d say Bochi ball.

>Board game- oh damn. This is a loaded question. It’s like asking my favorite song (which is Rock Lobster btw)

Best overall game that I feel good playing regardless of player count- tie between ‘Castles of Burgundy’ and ‘Great Western Trail’. I can’t recommend those 2 enough.

Best 2 player game- Stratego or 7 Wonders Duel
Best 3 player game- Wingspan right now
Best party game- Resistance: Avalon
Most played 4 player game- currently Clank! With expansions
Best card game- The Crew, or if I’m willing to shell out a ton of money for expansions, Pathfinder: The Card Game
Best filler game- Love Letter or Coup
Best dungeon crawler…Descent: Journeys into the Dark 2nd edition for nostalgia sake, but I should be saying Gloomhaven. (Gloomhaven is more puzzly, Descent is more luck based I feel)

{I could go on and on. If anyone wants a board game rec, hit me up}

>video game
I’ll always have a soft spot for Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 on computer. But Minecraft is up there too for being so malleable and it still holds up. I’ve been playing it since Alpha.
Handheld- Pokémon Silver/Gold/Crystal
N64- Majora’s Mask/Donkey Kong 64/Silicon Valley
Switch- BotW

We are formulating plans to eventually maybe get a little house an hour or two upstate that is close enough to drive to the city when we need and still have a backyard and hiking opportunities

Yes! I can’t remember where I’ve answered this, but my wife introduced me to camping 5 years ago.
I hated the outdoors as a kid, and I think I only just became cognizant of why: I grew up in the South with muggy, buggy climates and no real challenge or views.
Then my wife had me do a 24 day backpacking trip in the Sierras on the John Muir Trail (~220 miles). It was grueling in parts but also the challenge brought us closer together and me closer to nature. It’s really cliche to see me type it out, but I really did connect with nature. I don’t mind sleeping in my own sweat and dirt for days on end. The natural world is so beautiful and now that I’ve seen the west coast, everything pales in comparison

We did the Wonderland trail around Mt. Rainier a couple years ago and that was also magnificent.

Honestly, I haven’t been on a reading binge very recently, but my favorite series I’ve been involved with is The Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson. Epic fantasy, he’s currently on book 4 of 5, 5th will come out in a couple years. Would highly recommend. fantastic world building, and what he lacks in realistic dialogue (I was reading and no lie I was like ‘is this guy Mormon or something? His dialogue is a little stilted when writing romance. Looked it up, he is Mormon. No offense if anyone is Mormon, just made me chuckle). Again, highly recommend.

I remember reading Executive Orders, written in 1998 talking of hijacking planes and an Ebola scare. When I read it, there was that worldwide Ebola scare and I was tripping out. Nice little political drama in the Jack Reacher series I think.

>favorite movies
This is one of those questions that I know the answer to until you ask me.
In no particular order as I remember them:
-Whiplash- EXCELLENT movie
-Ex Machina
-LOTR all of ‘em
-Children of Men
-Ocean’s Eleven
-Being John Malkovich
-That was 8 I’m sorry

>Favorite shows
-Lost
-Survivor
-Dexter (haven’t started the new season)
-I’ve been liking The Boys.

There are a lot of fantasy readers at this site so I'm sure people will like your recommendation in that category. I've read a lot of Jack Reacher novels but had to quit because I just read too many and they all started to sound alike lol!!

Whiplash is on my "must see" list, I don't know why I haven't seen it yet.

I forgot you were a Lost fan!! I wish you'd been on Lostpedia with us, it's where many of us old timers met. And I should have known Survivor duh because of that oh-so-much-fun Survivor Mafia you ran here, one of my favorites of all time. Survivor is a guilty pleasure for me, when I can fit a season in I watch it but don't tell anyone lol!!
