Hey guys, I have a strange request for you.

In my other site, Naruto Forums, we have this game called Favorites. It's a huge game with more than 60 players, and huge roles with over 10 abilities each that we host every year.

It's happening right now and it's in Day 2, and being hosted by a guy named iwandesu.

The problem is that iwandesu had two co-hosts, and they both bailed on him before the game started. Now he's alone, and he doesn't seem to be able to host all of it in the spam of 24/24 phases. So the phases are delaying and he is looking for a co-host.

[link corrupted, removed -JJJ]

If one of you, with hosting experience, a lot of free time, and disposition to tackle a game that has hundreds of abilities, would like to help him, let me know. I would help if I could, but I'm playing the game myself.

Thanks.

So if you're wondering where I was for the past month or so, I was doing summer research for my college. But I'll have a month off in August, and that's when I want to run this game: https://forums.bulbagarden.net/index.ph ... st-6820495

This may be the last game I will have time to host for a long while, and it will be my most ambitious game yet as a result. It's 20 players, and every role is based on a song by "Weird Al" Yankovic, so if you like mafia and like Weird Al, you'll love this game! I need to get this filled as soon as possible, so if any of you could sign up, it'd be really cool!

[mention]Sloonei[/mention] Hey, I have something for you if you're still interested in playing an OJ game :goofp:

The Mafia section relocated before OJ's closing, and has a new home - thrillerbark.com

I'll be hosting the first official game there. Sign ups are underway, and lasts 7 days. The game should start the first of September. It's a variant of a U-Pick, each player that signs up makes 2 submission and one of it is guaranteed to make it into the game as a role. If any of you have played Favorites on NF, it's the same idea behind it.

Anyone else here that'd want to play, feel free to check it out

What’s the expected time table for this? I see you said sign ups will run for 1-3 weeks. How soon after that would the game be expected to start?

Depends how many signups, I would expect D1 to start no more than 48 hours after signups close though.

I could sign up as a replacement, if you think you'll need any. 1-3 weeks from now will probably still be a busy time for me, but i'll be nearing the finish line by then.

If anyone is interested, I'm hosting a game at Naruto Forums in the 2nd half of January.

https://www.narutoforums.org/threads/on ... a.1187194/

The theme is one-shots. Every player gets an ability they can only use once. The abilities can get pretty powerful, but since each night won't have many actions, I believe the game will feel less like ability madness and more like a pure mafia game.

It's for 20 players, with 24/24 phases.

Hey! If anyone is interested, I need a sub for a practice game I'm running for our representatives. The setup is mirroring the MU Championship one.

48/24 phases with 2 p.m EST deadlines. It's currently N1, and D2 is starting tomorrow. You'll have to catch up on a around 1000 posts.

So, a friend of mine is trying to host a game and I'm advertising it because he's one of my favorite hosts and it's been years since I last played his games.

https://www.narutoforums.org/threads/ma ... d.1199423/

This guy is the king of bastard mafia games. He takes the genre to another level. Expect to be trolled. Lied to. Tricked. Expect plenty of opportunities to do that to other people, too. Expect heavy role madness, semi-immortal roles, changing alignments, abilities that don't do what the host says they do, players being randomly awarded vig kills on Day 12, roles so powerful and unfair they become memes for years to come.

It's hilariously fun.

Actually it was an unique situation where I was enjoying the modding but needed a break from posting in that site badly.

Hey guys, I'm hosting a big game at NF and I want to invite the people from here too.

https://www.narutoforums.org/threads/to ... d.1208102/

Players: 32
Phases: 24/24 (except for Day 1/2)
Type: Role Madness, Multi-Ball, Closed Setup
When: first half of October

The concept is that every player gets a very powerful role, but at first, all of your abilities are locked. To unlock them, you need to play and win a series of mini-games that will happen each day phase.

Hi guys, i'd like to drop a link to a special kind of game i've put together and hosting on a forum just for this purpose.

https://basterdmafia.freeforums.net/thr ... d-sign-ups

More Info

Game Type: Closed/Flavor

Phase Length 48/24

Expected Number Of Players: 21

Elimination Mechanics: Majority Vote

Reveals Upon Death: Absolutely

Communication allowed outside thread for all players: No

Bastard Game: Absolutely

Other: Host and Players interact. Not for sensitive players, you are giving the host and players permission to troll you and punk you in the spirit of humor. Some OGI and Angle shootings rules may apply (or may not). This game was designed to have fun more than for competition, if this was a comedy central show, it would be rated R.

This game has no conversions or silencers.

Cheers!

Hello! I'm currently hosting a game on my homesite, Starmen.net, called Dragon Quest XI Mafia (flavor knowledge is not needed, obviously). The game has already started and is on the tail end of Day 2 right now, but we are in need of replacements. The signup thread along with all rules needed for the game can be found here: https://forum.starmen.net/forum/General ... ost2277067. You can post your password in the signup thread or PM the Narrator account to be added as a replacement.

On Starmen.net, each Day has its own topic thread, and all threads pertaining to the game are contained in the mafia board, which can be found here: https://forum.starmen.net/forum/Community/mafia. This includes all day threads as well as a player list topic where all players alive and the roles/alignments of dead players can be viewed, as well as a copy of the rules. There is also a mafia board hidden to all players except for the mafia, which I will link you to if you replace a mafiat.

Other info that might be different from this site:
* Chops are made by majority, and not by plurality; if the votes needed for majority are not reached, the Day will end in an abstain.
* Rather than a poll, votes are made in the thread exclusively and are counted manually by the Narrator, with a new vote count post near the top of each page.
* Each Day has its own thread, and Nights are locked (except on Night 1, which was due to a special instance).
* This game would count on this site as a Job, and is a closed role-madness setup, but is not terribly complicated. There is no post count limit.
* There is no rule on role-claiming or info-dumping; however, flavor claiming (claiming your character) is prohibited, as outlined in the signup thread.

If you have any questions, you can PM me here or through the Narrator account on Starmen.net.

Stargate from my forum is looking for two more spots for his game. It's anonymous, most likely closed setup and likely 24/24 day/night phases. The game is probably gonna be on its own site since it's anon, so you could also ltk and I'll get you in contact with Starman on Discord or something.

Starboy says it's balanced so he probably knows what he's talking about lol.

Mafia Cafe: Blind Date [20 players] [Open Custom] [2 SKs]

Website: https://www.mafiacafe.net/forum/standar ... blind-date
Game Host: Spades + Nackbot
Game Type: Open Custom (double SK)
Phase Length / Game Speed: D1-2: 48/24, D3+: 24/24
Expected Number of Players: 20
Elimination Mechanics: Deadline elimination
Role Reveals Upon Death: Yes
Outside Communication Allowed (for all players): No
Bastard Game: No
Other: Setup by me, flavour by Nackbot. "Twin SK: The setup where 3P actually has a good shot at winning".

Needs 6 more players!

Afternoons are usually pretty quiet in the Mafia Café—the din rarely picks up above a low murmur, the clinking of cups of cappuccino often the loudest sound in the restaurant. That's why it was especially strange when, today, more than a few diners overheard someone say "Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk past you again?" Heads turned. What was that?

Yes, a pod of pickup artists have descended upon our quaint little café, eager to – shudder – "put the moves on" any patron in sight. Some are innocuous enough, but others are downright lewd, enough to get some folks to get up and leave the restaurant. The wait staff try to pick out seducer from not-so-seduced, and show the former the door. Even worse, it seems two blind-daters looking for each other are also plying people they presume are their prospective partner with provocative pickup lines.

Can the Mafia Café diners single out these creeps and get them ejected before they hit on everyone on the premises? Or will those lovelorn louses offend every eat-er and force the café to close? Will the blind-daters ever meet up, or will they get caught in the crossfire?

Dragon D. Luffy wrote: Sun Jun 28, 2015 6:57 pm This time it's a game I'm hosting myself. Along with WolfPrinceKiba (aka Soneji).

This is one of NF's traditions: Favorites V. It's a game where each player submits a character they like (can be literally ANY character), and the hosts will make a role in the game for every single character submitted.

[link corrupted, removed -JJJ]

The game will probably start on early August. It will have a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 60 players. Phases are 24/24 and the game will be closed setup with role reveals allowed.

One cool thing about this game is that there is no way of knowing whether a character is good or bad based on their original work of fiction. For example, in the last Favorites, we had Korra as a mafia godfather and God as a serial killer.
Law wrote: Tue Feb 09, 2016 5:46 pm Hey guys, I'd like to invite anyone who is curious to click this --> [link corrupted, removed -JJJ] <-- and sign-up for what we on Naruto Forums call "Favorites".

This is the 6th year in a row we've held this game, sometimes considered the 'Super Bowl' of forum mafia. And this year, it's hosted by me. That means I can personally guarantee it will have the most advanced, badass, and complex roles in a large-scale madness game you've ever seen.

Last year it was co-hosted by your very own Dragon D. Luffy, so he can vouch for its fun factor and unpredictability.

The scope looks to be about 70 players, but it can handle many more.

The reason the signups go up this early, is because the role idea comes from you, the player, and then I research the subject matter and create the role myself between now and Summer. If you're at all curious about how this works, just click that link and read the posts. It's an institution on Naruto Forums, and almost every year has players from other sites joining in.

Be warned though, this is about as far from a vanilla game as it possibly gets in the world of mafia. If you're unable to properly play the game when you also have to think about a complicated role, or analyze the actions of others, this probably will be too advanced for you. (If you can play day-chess and night-chess, as the old-timers say, this will be a lot of fun for you)

But I have all the patience in the world for players who are low on skill/experience, but high on enthusiasm. I'll help you with any questions you may have. I'm Law there as well, so don't be shy.

Thanks for your time!

If one of you, with hosting experience, a lot of free time, and disposition to tackle a game that has hundreds of abilities, would like to help him, let me know. I would help if I could, but I'm playing the game myself.

Thanks.
Like many great hosts before me, I have taken up the mantle this year and am hosting NF's game of games Favourites 2023. For several years now it's been my dream to host Favourites and I'm excited to announce that dream is coming true.

The setup for my game is (and I don't use this word lightly) exquisite, it'll be my mafia hosting magnum opus. A game like this one deserves high calibre players and the words high calibre players has brought me straight here to The Syndicate.

I humbly request the presence of any and all Syndicate members to join the roster for the 13th annual edition of NF Favourites. If you do join I promise two things; one that the game is indeed beautiful and two, I will pledge you my own name to go on to any signups you want, at any time post-favs and I'll be there

Players of the SyndIcate, I present to you FAVOURITES THE 13TH
