I don't trust Epignosis either but he has done less to establish himself as the powerbroker in this game than you so my inherent skepticism of him is less.

Hence why I want to elect a random. I always vote third party in every election I've ever voted in. I don't trust people who want power.

I reckon we should elect Turnip Head. That seems like the most ironic outcome.

No, neither of you are sceptics. You both just need to have full control of everything. you're control freaks. You can't handle the idea that there can be things you don't know.

You are both entitled to make up your own minds about what you should do. I'm not telling either of you to 'accept' anything. I told you I didn't want to campaign for this, I just asked for trust.

You can trust me or not trust me, but if you make this personal I end up reacting. I don't like that the two of you have made this 'anyone but golden'. I particularly hate that epi has literally said he would wreck the game for the civs if I win it. It's unkind and outside of the spirit of the game, from my perspective.

Being a control freak doesn't mean that you dislike the idea of there being things you don't know. Being a control freak means you dislike not being in control.

I do hate the idea of there being things I don't know. I don't know how that's meant to offend.

I am not a control freak though. That glove fits you far better Golden.

Anyway.

A civ win on day 3 as a plea to getting me to come to my senses seems to me more likely to be something that I later regret having believed.

I'm leaving the thread now and I don't intend to be back in this phase.

Do what you want. If Epi wins, I'm not going to throw my toys out of the cot. He does deserve it. I wasn't trying to win at Epi's expense specifically. I was just trying to help the town win. I think we're in a good place and probably will win anyway in the long run.

All three of you should concede and elect me tonight. Not because I can do anything in particular with the power, but because I want it real bad.

In my ideal world, I'd know nothing and let other people make the plans. I prefer there being things I don't know. I like the mystery.

I also like seeing other people make plans, me cottoning on to the fact that they are, and letting them play them out. I don't like to get in the way if I can help it.

I have never made any move in a mafia game just because I want to take control of the thread at someone elses expense. Never.

I mean, if there's a mafia team of 4 it's obviously impossible.

If there's a mafia team of three I'm confident we are one lynch away.

I believe winning this item may allow me to solve the game.

I could be wrong in that belief, but that's why I am asking for the trust.

But seriously, do what you want. I asked, You said no. Whatever, but stop telling the world 'anyone but golden' please. No matter what you might think, it IS personal.

How foolish would you feel if you got the most votes but ended up getting nothing tonight because this was my submission?

Why would the host request everyone to send in a time? He could have easily made up that business himself.

Epi, I also picked a really cool time period, that is also futuristic, and I would let you have it back in return.

This isn't about the specific item.

And as I said, if I lose, I won't do anything or throw my toys. I didn't want to campaign. I just wanted to ask those who trust me to trust me. For those who son't trust me... don't trust me.

A lot of hosts have done a lot of things over the years that have made very little sense to me. A "Mafia" game with no flips? No sense.

I'm just rolling with things.

I've also learned that hosts make flawed games, and so I try to anticipate those too. This could be a flaw.

Also, I need a target for tonight. Preferably somebody we don't want around. :shifty:

No. There are more players than we will probably get night Elections for, so I think that would be unfair to the players who never get their chance at their locations.

do you think there's a player who should specifically be trusted less
I’ve grown wary watching Golden’s confidence become bigger than my dick as a result of spearheading a couple of lynches we haven’t been able to verify, and I have a hard time trusting people when they just say I should for my own good. Every game I’ve played here so far has had a very active town leader be scum, and it may not be Golden, but the idea that someone loud is someone bad is something people seem to have categorically ruled out, and that ain’t great.

Like, let’s add it all up for funzies — Golden has a role that allows him to townfirm Scotty as its sole function, but he also can townfirm Spacedaisy, and he has no doibt in his mind that we’ve lynched at least 2 scum, leaving one more (which, have we even talked about the numbers?) and he ALSO knows what getting the item will do for him tonight despite nobody actually being told its utility and sig not sharing his, but don’t worry, it’ll let us win the game. His temerity would suggest we’re in an open set-up, not a closed one.

hey everyone. I've received a few complaints now from the past, present and future. I know games get intense, but remember, this is just a game. win or lose, defend or accuse, keep that in mind. nothing (should be) is personal and keep it friendly. and above all else, please remember, no one is undeserving of a win and we all deserve it if we achieve it. (:

A lot of hosts have done a lot of things over the years that have made very little sense to me. A "Mafia" game with no flips? No sense.

I'm just rolling with things.

I've also learned that hosts make flawed games, and so I try to anticipate those too. This could be a flaw.

*returns with pizza to find the room on fire*

Let’s just as a whole take a step back, everyone voting, and say why we should vote for the person we are voting for.

This excludes Epi Mac and Golden

I want the other 12 or so players not having a fistfight to weigh in.

Personally I was thinking between Mac and Epi, leaning more so Epi because he has crazy plans that end up working in the town’s favor a decent chunk of the time? Any want to rebuttal me on that?

Mac on the other hand has seemed to be more stalwart, albeit an asshole so far this game in comparison to golden, who for me is in a cloud of fuckshit that blurs how I should be able to properly judge him

MacDougall you brought up items being specific to people. I personally don’t see this item as something that would interact with my flavor in the slightest

Unless each item has a single use purpose (like in phenon) then I’m not sure I’d even want it anyways.
