Um, and gotcha re peeks. With the colors and I have heard that in some games there is a civ peek before the game or something to that effect, I was not sure they were the same thing.
Then it's more likely that he's pulling some sort of gambit... so hopefully this doesn't blow up in his face like my "I'm the cop except I'm fake claiming as a vanilla townie" gambit did. :haha:

Correct, yeah, in a typical Thingyman-Mafia Championship type setup (which has largely been adopted for these early Heist games), the cop receives a randomly selected "green peek", essentially a free role check but ONLY on a townie to start the game. The reason it's restricted to green randomization only is for balance reasons (otherwise the cop would literally start the game with a confirmed mafia down, and could potentially end the game completely after N2). But every time he sends in a "role check" in subsequent Nights, you could also say he's sending in a "peek", same thing really.

OK, imma stick with "role checks" :haha:

"baddies" sounds babyish enough :haha:

"baddies" & "peeks" is just too much, lol.

Lol, "peek" came from the "seer" terminology, I believe, so it makes thematic sense in that regard, as if the seer is peeking into a crystal ball or however you'd like to think of it.

I'm not sure why it would be thematically used with "cop" though.

Well, something super interesting happened, I spammed this spectator chat, so... sorry about that, and I'll be back later to see what the hell is actually going on. :P

Nub Boomslang. Would love to hear from postgame why he's doing this if even the Hosts don't know :p

Every once in a while they mention the baddies, but for the most part they are all about lynching each other.

After the lynch I will change the poll to see if you all want to remain unspoiled, since BTS people are not in here.

Are you guys willing to divulge how many baddie teams there are?
I've assumed two since I know SVS very much prefers that option, but maybe you switched it up or something.

There are two. Plus the dead SKs.

As an added spoilery bonus, the identity of the two SKs gives us a clue as to the makeup of the two baddie teams.

Yeah... that's not a role that should be getting lynched at this stage of the game.

I mean, that four way tied vote was the most epic thing ever from an objective perspective, I understood that...

But to be a civilian in it and see the two most civilianish-looking people be included? :faint:

That picture SVS posted is exactly how I felt. And somehow out of that tie we managed to get our only baddie lynch so far.

Put me back in the game, coach!

Must be a bad run when only the motherfucking serial killer did a better job than the civilians at lynching mafia.

I am still having problems getting past Tranq getting lynched after the known BTS civ vouched for him. It's like everyone is so in love with their own suspicions the evidence is not swaying them.

Psh my lynch was by far the worst one so far this game :P

Glad I was right about LC even though my shield never actually protected him. It is the thought that counts.

I would have never considered Golden's hinting on Tranq conclusive evidence, honestly. It didn't play that much into my mindset at all. Perhaps that's my mistake, but a number of people who have played hard and paid a lot of attention also seemed to miss that detail.

I was underwhelmed by a Tranq lynch, but I didn't think there was a better option available in the tally I was faced with at EOD. Nobody would have joined me on a DH wagon, and I don't even know if that'd have been advisable. The baddies have played well. Everything seems simpler from the perspective of being dead or especially as a host.

Yeah the Tranq lynch was not shocking to me for that reason (the Golden connection), but moreso that it was -ev compared to other lynch candidates. There was nothing to be learned about the game one way or the other, no matter how Tranq flipped. It was a filler lynch because players were scared to pull the trigger on anything more relevant.

I think what surprised me about my lynch is that no-one even bothered to consider who might be my btsc partner. JJJ may not have found it to be conclusive evidence, but at least the idea of it being raised as evidence at all might have been helpful.

There were really only three people I vouched for in the game. JJ, FZ and tranq. I expected at least that someone might go down that road.

I didn't care who your partner was. :meany:

Because I was the serial killer. :feb:

We wanted to give the role checker some sort of drawback, so someone from Death Note with the Shinigami Eye Deal made the most sense. Misa would have made more sense thematically, but Light felt like the more iconic role.

Would have been fun as a serial killer role too though.
