This is not a viable excuse not to vote.

any initial reads of each other? I find it odd neither of you have really engaged each other
Have you read our ISOs?

I made a rudimentary reads list, and listed Roxy as "Trying to move things along, good look" (paraphrase).

Why would I "engage" someone for no reason? We had a small, couple posts, convo about low posters, but she hasn't said anything else I felt required "engaging".
Reading you and Roxy has been more of a cursory read, and from memory I didn’t recall you two interacting much less reading each other

So do you townread her atm based on what limited talking has happened?
I have a set of ideas for tone with Town Rox, not unlike with Kate, she's easier for me to find than bad Rox, I got a clear picture of her town game from an adversarial position in Se7en, where I watched her very closely. Town Roxy has a wide focus, she looks at everyone, she doesn't much tunnel, and she evolves. So yes, especially since most of the limited talking has been generated by her. That's who I see here, and I don't recall ever seeing this when Rox was bad. So i won't town core anyone before voting/results, but I town lean her, yeah.
agree on the roxy read, i don't think she can be that up front/annoying (not as a pejorative)/aggressive as scum, it's usually the hardest part of scumming and something i haven't seen from her

And yes, I have played with him though it was many millennia ago. Looking at it in a vacuum because I don’t know timmer’s meta, posting ‘I’m here but busy’ is an excuse type of post I associate with someone trying to say they’re here and not have to do anything else. It’s that very line that seems to get a pass from people that I don’t feel like I want to let into the venue

I think as a baseline, it could be said that the first person to vote for a player in the game is opportunistic, as they are sensing an opportunity to vote for someone.

So sure, I’m being opportunistic.

Like…y’all, I’m getting a lot of blowback for voting timmer, who I’m not sure I even wanted to end my vote on- some of it is to get pressure on him, some of it is genuine suspicion

This isn't my question, but a few things bother me. First, it feels like he's not so much defending Halyn, as trying to appease them, if that makes sense, with this remark:
I do feel comfortable with this playlist. Now that that Hal guy's gone. :haha: Either way, you are the newest player to me on this list. Everyone else is someone I've played with 3 million times.
followed up with not putting a read on Halyn even though he put reads on the no shows.

Then, he put a wolf read on jpic and a town read on Sean, while both of them have the same zero posts. If he found no shows sus, he would sus both of them, right? And if he was in the no shows = BOTD camp, then it would be both of them.

Hmm... is this something suspicious from Scotty? Roxy implies it, maybe. I feel like he has been in recent games where this has come up and been discussed. If you look at it from one angle, a Scotty that already knows the answer to a question he's asking is a Scotty that is being fake... maybe a Scotty trying to subtly put suspicion Roxy's way.

based off his roxy/you reads he townreads me

so, good analysis

what makes u think of him withholding a tr on me?

strikes me more as opportunistic than appeasement, although it's partially the latter

based off how i played last game, w!LC would uh seek to handle me
It could be seen that way, it just feels waffly to me, I guess. He put reads on zero posters, but chose not to on you. I may be reading into it becasue he also made that cutesy remark. It just felt like him trying to stay on your good side and not ruffle you up.

If we’re all part of a band, (all playing guitar) and some are trying to sabotage our show, I ask anyone that’s here:
-what kind of guitar do you play? What does it look like?
-are you more of a support or do you want the solos?
-what is your ideal venue?

Go
* My friends son is trying to get this guitar for Christmas. My friends husband isn't sure the son is serious enough about it to justify the expense. It's acoustic electric which apparently amplifies the acoustic sound primarily for stage use; hubby isn't sure Sonny needs that. We'll see. My friend think she'll chip in half if her son manages to save half. But to get to the question, I'd play this. I think it's gorgeous, and since I failed at lessons, as an acoustic I wouldn't much be harrassing others when I play it.

*Support. IRL I think I'd make a fab personal assistant, I love pulling the strings and making things happen in the background. So standing in the background, mentally planning the bands next move, holding my lovely guitar without actually playing it, would be the place for me. A place where I could watch people rather than them watching me. This is what I'd like, but it seldom happens lol. I generally try pushing the front man out of the way , with varied degrees of success.

*For a band I was in? Someplace dark with a large stage I could fade back on. For a band I worked for? A place with an office with plants and a big window I could use to figure out who was trying to sabotage us by poring over concert footage.

Never got into electric. Something about the tuning felt too naked when learning. But I like the idea of getting them to half pay.

You prefer support, eh? Does that also translate to mafia? Like, when you’re mafia, do you tend to hang in the background and not powerwolf, or does this analogy not relate?
It does translate. Day one I play pretty much the same, i think. I tend to be a bit more haphazard when I'm town, say stupid shit, etc. I look for a hook when town, something that someone says that seems not right. Then I become kind of a PITA. But I need the hook. When I'm bad, I try to avoid "being" the hook. "Almost too smooth" someone called it once, and they were right. I'm never a PITA when I'm bad.
So I’m looking for you to be almost too smooth like baby’s ass

Got it.

Do you not think you can replicate your town game as mafia?
First, I think self meta is mostly pointless since anyone can say anything they want to, but I think this is pretty much something anyone who knows me well could confirm.

So, yes, I could, but it would be awkward and weird for me to do so, and anyone who knows me would have to notice it. I'm so much more careful when bad, I polish my posts, reread them a few times, try to catch all the "becasue"s. I try harder to not say anything incendiary or that will annoy people too much. It's hard to fake carelessness, and my town game is more spontaneous.
This is lowkey hilarious if unintentional. Tho a part of me is tinfoiling that you did this just to present yourself as town meta :ponder:

Roxy I'm less sure of, but more towny than not

Scum reading Hal & LC, and I'd also say timmer is more scummy than not

JPIC, Sean are null
I’m just not sure about LC. He’s sort of aloof and jokey and his reads are bit nonsensical, but I’m not sure I’m willing to say it looks incredibly *scummy*

from my brief skim of the game i think I have a town read on SVS as I agree with most of their thoughts - specifically vibe with the below post.

SVS ok so far I guess

Scotty has given me pause with his line of questioning and I feel like he has and agenda - town or bad I do not know yet

but that LC list is something....I need some answers.

Talk to me about the list, what about it bothers you specifically?

And if he was in the no shows = BOTD camp, then it would be both of them.
i also have a weird gut read that hal is town as well based on absolutely nothing other than i thought it was interesting they were fine with killing seanzie but didn't mention me

I've got a tiny bit of a kitty emergency; he has a big bump on his lower jaw, won't eat and does that low throat terror noise if you get within 3 feet of him, he was eating OK yesterday, so he must be in alot of pain, and he's old, so I don't want to take chances.

It's Saturday Night in the suburbs, so not sure how long it'll take, so I'm voting now for [VOTE: Long Con] aubergine. I hopefully will be back before the poll ends, but just in case.

That list didn't sit well with me.

@Scotty no, lol. I don't think my phone even corrects "becasue" anymore. I have to make a conscious effort to not make that typo, it's just a thing ha ha
