Not really? I hadn't read the game much at the time, just skimmed over it and saw Dunya getting quick intuition reads on people and was like "oh, she's good at that, cool."

I'm going to reevaluate Dunya tomorrow when things feel less OMGUSy

If I were to vote right now, it'd be Luna over you because you had a PoE within 3 posts and her biggest contribution so far is "I voted TH because he said something". I make these exaggerations without fact checking because I am lazy.
speedchuck said No Lynches are "bad bad bad bad" -- what do you make of that in the whole "people who oppose no lynches could be bad" pile?
pp
He said it after I initially called you both out but before I went full tirade. It'd be hard not to know what I said since we had so little content then, so it's more like he made a conscious decision to say it despite the fact it'd likely earn him scrutiny from me. That would probably make him the least suspicious of the three of you in a vacuum.

dunya, why are you town reading TH?

I agree with dunya’s assessment of no lynch right now. I’m concerned about Luna’s joining in to toss a vote on TH for his suggestion though.
This post reads a little forced/robotic.

Obligatory reads.
Obligatory question.
Something to agree with.
Something to be wary of.

All of it stated without any whys.
I didn't see it that way. I saw Spacedaisy giving 2 townreads, one possible scum read (Luna) and asking me why I was townreading TH which could imply she wasn't feeling as good about him and wanted to determine what it was I was seeing.

I'm more concerned with people who don't give opinions on other people.

also I'm always happy when people agree that a D1 No Lynch is a bad idea. :p

Meh I'm on the fence now. Does anyone feel like they have a clear grasp of what her town and scum games are? I know Daisy is townreading her.
My read is that if dunya posts a lot and seems excited about solving the game and is being helpful, then she's town. But I don't think I've played a scum game with her, so I'm not sure how good she is at pretending to be town when she's not.
This is not accurate. dunya hates quiet games as a civ. She tries to get people talking. How can you possibly have a baddie tell on dunya if you’ve never played with a baddie dunya. I do not like the way you look Luna, not at all.

I’m not feeling a Luna vote any longer. Despite the early sketchy feeling I think the rest of her posts read with atown vibe to me.

I’m unconvinced that dunya would slip in the way speed is suggesting. I’m leaning town still.

I’m also not feeling a speedchuck vote. I am tentatively leaning civ here as well.

I’m going to do something noneof you are going to like, I’m voting Nova. Here’s why:

If Nova is civ and we do not lynch him, then if he continues to be a no show, the civs are effectively down another vote. It’s like an extra baddie kill. Because if he’s not here, then he won’t vote. I am always going to be a proponent of lynching MIA players. Not to be confused with low posting/activity players.

So all that to say, unless I have someone I am very certain of, I feel better voting for someone who isn’t playing. I will continue to do this in every game I play, because math people! Especially in a game this size.

I don’t feel like I have a solid bad read right now, obviously.

[VOTE: novaselinenever] aubergine

I’m never sure of TH, dunya. That’s why I asked.

Still not quite for sure I'm convinced on anyone in particular, but I do my best to keep up and keep paying attention to what's going on. Sucks when someone doesnt show up for the game. If they are town we are down a person to help but I still don't think I'd want to lynch them especially if the potential for a replacement exists. Side note my phone autocorrects lynch to lunch haha.

I know why you're thinking that...from the names. But despite not wanting to talk mechanics I find it crazy we have the potential of losing 3 civs out of 7 in 1 night bringing us to 4 vs 2. Just seems unlikely to me in what Jay called a pretty straight forward game but I could be wrong.

I'm on mobile. I voted back to Dizzy and not because they voted for me, but because 1. I've cooled of on speedchuck. I think the tone we set up for the other person clouds the sincerity of the post. 2. I have some things to quote and say about Dizzy, their narrative on me and contribs so far. I need a laptop for that but will do asap.

I'm still townreading Daisy, sabie, turnip and speed again. Sabie's question about MyLo and LyLo and her perspectives ooze sincerity to me. I haven't played with her before and don't have any meta to compare her playatyle with so my judgement is not really fully based, but I'm gonna go with my gut anyway.

I'm less sure about Luna. She seems to be playing like town Luna again in Ancient Greece instead of scum Luna in U-Pick right now but ill read her iso individually after I finish Dizzy's.

I felt primarily good after my exchange with Quin on No Lynch yesterday. But that's not enough to town confirm the entire game.

Dunya didnt suspect me that I ever saw. Dyslexicon did very breifly with no explanation but then changed it. Unless I missed any posts that's what I've seen. I'd have to re read dizzy posts to get an idea of where the suspicion is there.

Thus far nothing sticks out as super obvious to me. A few things that could go either way, but
I also don't have much point of reference for peoples playstyles since it's been awhile since I've been here and theres some newer people. I'll probably be working from home today due to the huge snow storm so I should have more time to read through again before placing a vote.

current rainbow, would be willing to lynch between dizzy and quin, i think. not sure i have enough of a grasp on Luna but she and sabie are almost on the same level at this point. not very impressed with sabie's contributions as they seem a little "tight lipped" and i am always wary of that. nova is n/a. i'll get to dizzy later before eod, when i have time.

sabie does seem genuine but I have pressed her continuously for reads and I don't seem to be getting them.

"Thus far nothing sticks out as super obvious to me."
nothing is ever super obvious, but the more thoughts you put in here, the easier it is for people to read you better and also for you to gather your impressions on players. doesn't matter what you're saying, so please try.

also sabie12, votes are changeable. you can put your vote on someone and keep changing it around however much you like. it also makes it easier for you to try and focus your thoughts and try and wheeze at scum when you are trying to decide who to put a vote on.

And I probably won't be around later.

Not to be as obnoxious as Speed (I don't think you are, Speed (and I don't think I need to clarify that really : p)), but what do you mean by that first thing specifically? Where is it coming from? From my pov it looks more like you've been making your mind up to scum read people and then just go for that. Do you think that's unfair to say?
the first part means you can read something the first time and i agree with it, then read it a few more times and feel different intentions about it. that's what the whole game is about to me and why we don't solve it on day 0.

also hi dizzy, meet dunya. this is how dunya plays mafia. if i have a reason to scum read someone from tone or intuition or poe, i will scum read that person from every angle and see if it sticks with me. i do like to apply pressure and vote on a whim whenever i'm feeling it. i feel pressure creates emotions and reactions which enable us to better determine if someone is town or scum.

let's take you for example. you have made your mind up to scum read me and just went for it. do you think that's unfair to say?

Don't like the way she left me (even if the push itself was random), cause at that time I had said I scum read two players who were her town reads. The push on Speed doesn't seem to come from anywhere. Also also the calling out Speed for voting what could be PTs is lol, cause that's like exactly what she did. Thoughts?

I think dunya town read both Space and Quin (?) Would she do that if they were teamed?
the push itself was not random. I specifically said you, Quin and nova were in my suspect pool. the latter 2 hadn't checked into the thread yet and you had. checking in with "hi, dunya, hi!" and disappearing didn't sit well with me and I could see scum buddying motive behind it if I wanted to. also scum naturally lay low and you 3 also fit the criteria there.

also you should know i don't care if people don't agree with my reads. i wont scum read someone for disagreeing with who i find suspect. i will scum read someone who doesn't provide content and reasons on their reads if asked about it, though.

actually, speed called me out for it, and i told him that doesn't work because he was the instigator of introducing the theory of a cop and doc PR team into the thread. you should review my posts to see why i voted for speed and what i was seeing at the time, because it seems like you didn't catch that either.

Sure. I agree that you very much feel how you feel and that can change and (for me) often not be very conclusive in the first place. Totally depends. I think I read the sentence you wrote to Speed as "make up your mind about a read", which it seemed like you were doing or pretending to do with me at the start of the game.

I think I have a somewhat similar approach, though I can't say Iim very systematic about anything.

And no, I don't think that's fair. I don't know what you think or how you see it or how others see it, but that's not at all what I'm feeling. You've beent he one to stand out to me though. Nobody else really stands out that much this game. And I haven't been around or interacted as much as I'm used to.

Do you remember a smaller game than Ancient Greece that you were scum in btw?

K, I said hi cause you had last posted. I say hi. That's me. I'm never about laying low. My activety is purely based on if I have time to post or not. I've hardly been home the last days. I should be on mafia break (long time since I signed up for this), but whatever, I'm playing now. I'm not about hiding or whatever. You could also ask or check for if this is something I'm likely to do as scum, you know, the "laying low".

That's fine, but I just felt it funny when I read it.

I don't even recall what this last bit refers to lol.

I also hate being called 'always scum.'

Maybe I found it funny at some point, but now it feels like I'm going up against Donald Trump.

Just a PSA for all you conscientious players out there.
But my thing is to call everyone a variation of their name that makes them sound like Mafia.
Clearly I wasn't talking to you. :flamed:

Right, I think you didn't get what I meant (?) I was saying that you calling out Speed for voting a no-show for protecting PT-reasons is lol when you started off by accusing me who hadn't started playing and two no-shows - IF you were serious about this. Basically I'm calling you a hypocrit. Does that makes sense?

linki: Dunya was scum in Greece. That is an interesting observation. I'd love to follow up on it, but first, what do you make of it?

Yeah, I know she was scum there. It didn't make me think dunya was scum any more, which I kind of wanted it to : p I'd like to read more games though if I have the time.

I don't know any other scum games that Dunya has played. And even in that one, I took over in the first few days.
