Convince me of this reality.

"One involves a Mafia team fluking their way to a flawless victory with a cop that hasn't managed to net a single red peek while still alive and who no showed an entire day as a team and Mac/Nutella hard towning and not solving a single Mafia."

Dude the problem is I could see pretty much anyone being the mafia at this point. I have made cases on most of them and I'm not confident about any of them. That's how it goes when town has no information and there are too many possible worlds. You don't seem to be considering enough of those possible worlds.
I have considered all of them.

One involves a bastard role.

One involves a Mafia team fluking their way to a flawless victory with a cop that hasn't managed to net a single red peek while still alive and who no showed an entire day as a team and Mac/Nutella hard towning and not solving a single Mafia.

One involves Nutella being a skillful deepwolf and carrying her team to mylo.
Not sure what the bastard role you're thinking of is here.

Not sure why you don't include juliets as a possible deepwolf.

It's probably both of you.
You are talking to me. You aren't going to save yourself from me by calling me Mafia.

Assume Juliets and I are civilians and convince me who is bad.
well that narrows down my pool quite a bit then, eh :meany: BWT, Mata, and Rej.

I really didn't like sabie's vote or explanation for oreki. Regardless of how much she explains that she was just running in and making a hasty decision, she claimed there was a "case" on him without understanding what that was and that was an easy excuse for her to throw her vote on and make it look thought through when it clearly wasn't. I'd vote for her if you're willing to.

First of all they wouldn't have known they were saving me since it looked like Oreki was significantly ahead of me anyway if they didn't know juliets' vote was negative. So they were just coming in at the last minute and piling on the wagon just so they'd have a vote on the board. Second of all, they wouldn't have minded me being lynched either since I'm not on their team. The mafia were just fine with yesterday going as blah as it did.

She didn't want to miss the deadline because she wanted to look town and invested. She tags on oreki because he's the leading wagon and it's fine and it didn't appear that there was a chance to lynch me at that point anyway/she didn't want to make it closer/make a tie (idk the exact timing) because it would draw attention.

:shrug2: I'm wary of staking the game on anything right now. I'm not confident in anything, but I do know that we have a better chance of hitting mafia in indi than in me because the chance of hitting mafia in me is zero. So I'll take what I can get.

I believe her that she was afraid of being penalized. It has been common in this site's culture for hosts to require players to vote, and I personally have "don't miss votes, ever" strongly ingrained in me and I wouldn't be surprised if sabie did too. I'm saying it's perfectly reasonable that she just felt she needed to get a vote on the board somewhere and the oreki wagon was convenient enough.

Management realizes that we have been working you extra hard in the lead up to the release of our new sleep machine at Relaxxicon, but Gordon Jenkins died working for this project and we know you wouldn't want to dishonor his memory by slacking off now! We promise we will consider rolling back the mandatory overtime once the project is finished. In the meantime, we heard nutella has been trying to convince everyone that the company is manipulating Jenkins' death to our advantage. That is simply outrageous and Jenkins' warned that there would be some who doubted the cause. We've let nutella go for her lack of conviction. You're welcome.

Nutella has been lynched, She was Elijah Palmer.

Elijah Palmer: Head of Digivation and father of Veronica. Elijah and Veronica are in a constant competition to get their projects out before the other. He frequently employs corporate espionage to beat his daughter. Each Day he copies Veronica by sending out instructions to one player about how he wants them to use their ability. During the following Day, he will learn his daughter’s targets and if they obeyed or not. He will begin the game with a one time protection from either lynch or night kill.

Win Con: In order to win he must get at least five players to follow his instructions. At this point he will be allowed to retire from the game in victory, or continue playing for the purpose of creating whatever kind of chaos he wishes.

Elijah is independent.

The mafia, Veridian Villains have won! Congratulations to Matahari, Indiglo, and sabie12!

Complete role list to come.

Veridian Employees (Town)
Phil Myman: Veridian R&D scientist, has a codependent working relationship with his lab partner Lem Hewitt. They will have five projects that are in development. Each night they each choose a project to work on. If they both choose the same project in the same night, then that project will be built during the subsequent day, wherein both Phil and Lem submit two targets to receive the project’s effects. They must successfully use all five projects before they can reuse any of the projects. In case the choice of targets that do not match, whoever sent their PM in first will get their choice of target used.

See Projects in Lem's description.

Each night they each choose a project to work on. If they both choose the same project in the same night, then that project will be built during the subsequent day. They must successfully use all five projects before they can reuse any of the projects. In case the choice of targets that do not match, whoever sent their PM in first will get their choice of target used.

Cryogenically Frozen Employee - Veridian Dynamics has been experimenting with safely freezing animal tissue so that it can be revived. Fingers crossed, it’s ready for human testing! This experiment freezes another player for one full day/night cycle, removing them completely from the game without killing them. Once unfrozen, the player rejoins the game, but every night for the rest of the game their night power target(s), if they have any, has a 20% chance of being made public.

Weaponized Pumpkin - Why? Because one of the countries Veridian Dynamics does business with has a surplus of pumpkins. The player hit with this pumpkin will be killed. Now the pumpkin has more to do than just Halloween.

Corpse-eating Battlefield Robot - This project does exactly what it says it does, eats corpses. The robot can be used to eat the corpse of one dead player and use their power one time. Veronica doesn’t like this project though, so it can only be used once before the project will be scrapped.

Voice of God - This device allows the user to beam a message directly into the brain of the person they are targeting while no one around them can hear it. However, when set too high it has a side effect of uncontrollable vomiting. Send one player a message while simultaneously blocking them. You can send up to three lines but you cannot out yourself.

Jetpack - When the employee keycards are taken up in a knapsack on a test flight, the Veridian Dynamics mainframe will be confused by the illogical information and reboot itself. This action will protect the targeted player from any night kill, and since you have a bird’s eye view, you will also watch them to see anyone that targets them.

Experimental Energy Patch - An energy patch that looks exactly like a bandaid. The player that receives this energy patch is able to use their night power, if they have one, twice the subsequent night instead of once.

Ted Crisp: Ted leads an R&D team for Veridian Dynamics. Women want him, men want to be him. Everyone loves Ted. Each night Ted can have the host tell the player of his choice that he is Ted/Town. He will not learn the alignment of the person he targeted.

Veronica Palmer: The department boss and Ted’s direct supervisor, Veronica is in charge of all the Veridian employees on her floor. Each Day she will instruct three employees of her choice in how she wants them to use their power. If at the end of every three Nights, at least 7 of the 9 employees have obeyed her directions, she will gain a one time use alignment check.

If Mordor sleeps with her she will also gain knowledge from there on if Mordor sleeps with another player.

Linda Zwordling: The moral center of Veridian Dynamics and Ted’s love interest, Linda works as a product tester for Ted’s R&D team. She observes the product testing to determine what products might be dangerous. Each night she will watch another player to see anyone who targets them.

Rose Crisp: Rose is Ted’s third grade daughter. She takes part in Veridian Dynamics’ after school program for children of employees, The Hive. There she hears gossip from the other children about things they hear their parents say. She shares this information with Ted. Each Day she will learn who the Veridian Villains will be firing the following night. As long as Rose is alive, Ted will learn this information as well. Each night she also is given a snippet of BTSC from the Veridian Villain’s chat room.

Dr. Bhamba: A scientist on another R&D team at Veridian Dynamics. He has BTSC with Patricia. Dr. Bhamba is in charge of a project involving a super secret biocomputer. He also is the company’s go to scapegoat when projects go very badly and create bad press. Once in the game he may choose to step in and take the place of the person about to be lynched. The longer he remains in the game, the more likely his super computer will fail. Beginning at 0% chance of failure, it will go up by 10% each night. If the super computer fails it will block all civilian actions the following night.

Patricia: A scientist on another R&D team at Veridian dynamics. Patricia has BTSC with Dr. Bhamba.

Ryan the Security Guard: Ryan is security guard at Veridian Dynamics, and he has a lot of time on his hands to think about things. Stupid things. The result is that he tends to corner employees trying to enter the building and keep them occupied in tedious conversations. Each night he chooses another player to talk to. That player will not be able to carry out any night actions, nor will they be able to be targeted by any other players.

Sheila: Sheila works in a cubicle on the floor, and is an avid cat lover. She and Linda do not get along well after Linda accidentally sexually harassed her. If Linda votes for her, Sheila will turn her into HR and Linda will be forced to attend a sexual harassment awareness seminar. The result is Linda will be blocked the following night. Additionally, on Day 0, all the players will choose a company approved group to be sorted into and Sheila must choose the Cats group. Every following night Sheila will choose which group of people will have their vote count as 1.5 in the next lynch. The groups are as follows:

Cats
Green Bay Packers
Classic Cars
Space

Debbie: Debbie is intensely introverted and has trouble voicing her thoughts and opinions openly in meetings. As such, each night she will broadcast a message to the thread via the hosts. The only limitation to this is that she may not intentionally out herself in these messages.

Veridian Villains (Mafia)
Chet: Veronica’s immediate supervisor, the employees are constantly trying to impress him with their ideas and abilities. He frequently hands down orders to fire people to Veronica. As a leading member of upper management, when executing the team kill, Chet’s kill cannot be blocked nor his target protected.

Bert Hutchins: Human Resources Chief at Veridian Dynamics. Bert sends in the extraction team when firing people they are concerned might take company secrets with them on their way out of the company. When executing the team kill, Bert cannot be tracked or watched by any other players.

Janet S. Crotum: Working in the Human Resources Department, Janet handles memos that go out to the employees. She can send a Memo to one player each night. This Memo can say literally anything you choose. You can use this to get players to do things you want. You can set a condition and punishments if the condition is not met, but these will be fictional. The key here is deception. The company doesn’t care about facts, they will always distort the truth to avoid admitting they are wrong or to get what they want.

Independents
Mordor the Unforgiving: Each night he chooses someone to give free tickets to for his show. If his target is a woman, they will sleep together (excluding Rose, because she is a little girl you pervert!). His passionate love making will tire her so much that she will be unable to focus on her work at Veridian Dynamics the next Day. She will not be allowed to vote the next day.

Win Con: In order to win, Mordor must have slept with all the women alive at the end of the game regardless of which team wins, alternatively if he sleeps with Veronica and she lives to the end he will also win the game regardless of which team wins.

In your defense, it wasn't clear if your partner was civ or mafia from the get go. I had built a lot of avenues for civs gaining info in this game. I was actually worried it was overly weighted int he civs favor. Which is the reason for not giving Night kill flips. But in the end nothing came together for you guys. The kills and mislynches were the absolute worst you guys could have gotten. Info roles were dropping like flies.

Sabie’s role was fun, she gave out instructions that people didn’t have to do. BWT was silenced by her, but he could have posted if he wanted. Juliet’s didn’t really have a -2 vote. Drago didn’t follow his instructions correctly so we killed him. But Veronica redirected my power to Drago on the same night, so I thought I was busted. I don’t know what happened there.
