It did cross my mind that anne's woe-is-me posts about not enjoying the game could be a wifomy "wolf wouldn't openly say this" gambit, she did lean into it slightly overmuch i thought

i have a similar concern about anne. i actually got some townpings from her when she was explaining her reasoning for scumreading me earlier in the day, but i think that her being demotivated and fed up with the game is >rand likely to come from her as a wolf. i dont think i feel comfortable making a scumread on that basis, though

My view of NAA is quite ambivalent. There are little kernels of the town game I saw in Fleabag, e.g. the partially-troll-partially-cooperative treatment of me and my C L O U T. It’s a small point. I don’t know what he thinks of the game.

Regarding the MR post SPF highlighted: shrug. I don’t struggle to see the latter paragraph as a token qualifier to encourage an active-listening dialogue. “That said, you could be right blah blah” is kind of a staple of my own play even if sometimes it’s perhaps redundant or otherwise not necessary. It’s a courtesy at least when I do it. MR can expand on his own.

The mechanical dynamics of the post may be questionable with a certain degree of nitpick. But you could be right.

the best answer i can give without going back to nanook's ISO is simply: "tone/motivation" - it felt like nanook had a drive to push his reads forward when he was posting earlier in the day, whereas it seems like NAA has lost that drive, even if i don't think that necessarily reflects on his alignment

i'm open to considering both NAA and nanook as wolves, but i suppose i'm looking for a reason to be suspicious of them that isn't simply: "they aren't towny", and i don't feel like anyone has provided that type of reasoning yet

To be real though, I'm enjoying this game. I haven't played much mafia lately, as my life is not really rigged for it time/energy wise. I'm don't feel like getting into this game right now. Maybe because I've lost my taste for D1 or maybe just cause. I may or may not read the game later this day phase. There's a lot of great players in this game. I don't want to bring my team down by not participating much right now, but still, it is what it is kind of. I don't feel like trying to agree with myself about what I really think with no knowns. I know there will be [things happening] because you all are pros. I'm not trying to abandon my responsibility of signing up for a game, I'm just taking it slow, and I hope that's ok.

Like this post is where I'd relate to the Dizzy that was playing in Baby Mafia when Alison was grilling her.

jagged, if you have a post to spare, i would find it helpful if you gave a quick view of how you're looking at the game and what your immediate POE currently looks like. one thing about your play in this game that seems distinct from the other games i've played with you is that you seem to be making less posts that consider things from a holistic/"POE" perspective, and i'm curious about your broader view of the game

Have very few posts left until 1h before EoD, so here's a couple things I'd like to say

It would probably be a good idea to use an investigative ability on Mac and if he survives a few days he may be worth looking at, but for now there are better targets. I still am not a huge fan of Mac's progression, I can understand why he was hesitant to townread us due to his role but it doesn't explain the others such as the odd push on Cass. Still, I think mafia Mac would be more likely to check Falcon early, and could have easily justified it as resolving an inactive slot or whatever.

Dizzy was voting Mac literally moments before I told him to get his vote off. Telling Dizzy to get his vote off was also a general reprimand for anyone with a vote on Mac. A player doesn't have to have a vote on someone to be eager to lynch them, they're not mutually exclusive.

OHHHHHHHHH yeah, if you think clearing my slot when I'm not participating all that much was a sub-optimal move by Mac, then you don't know much about my scum game.

Not impressed with this post. Falcon, you're being treated as confirmed town and it's important for confirmed town to be vocal and bold. Obviously not advocating a vote for this slot but if we want to win it's important that you step up your game.

Despite not really seeing anything towny in Dyslexicon's ISO I really don't like their wagon so I will avoid that for now

Axehole has been disruptive and has been acting anti-town but apparently that's typical of them so I don't know what to think. Would not mind that slot going bye-bye.

Wilgy has been scummy, I don't like how his first move was to randomly townread a vocal player which is a scum thing to do, and none of their reads are impressive. Currently my preferred option.

MR has also been uninspiring, it feels they are not doing any work but still trying to maintain a thread presence regardless. Wouldn't mind them being voted out either.

Sloonei is mixed, I can believe he's not caught up based on posts (while he would know more if he was in wolfchat) and he hasn't been criticizing players for being active, which is a common tell for inactive scum. However, the way he immediately townread Marmot for his post while doing the same to no one else is a little sketchy. Not the biggest fan of his MR interaction either. Would not vote for now as I'd like to see him more active but I'd like him to participate more now.

Aside from the previous reasons to townread Marmot, there's also this:

falcon posted in the game, I am mildly surprised he wouldn't log into a neighborhood chat he received, especially if he was town (or really either alignment)

Due to my role I happen to know BTSC is over Discord, and the wording suggests Marmot doesn't know that, which he would if he was a wolf (although I'm not sure how he would word it if it was the case). Although this isn't a 100% derpclear I think it does add another piece of evidence to townread him.

Anne still doesn't promote any strong feelings in me one way or another. As Nanook has not posted again due to hitting his cap my read on him is the same as before. Everyone else I didn't mention is a townread to varying extents.

I believe I should have three posts left between me and my partner (assuming he didn't post while I was writing this) so this may be my last post before EoD. See ya then, I guess. For now, my vote's still on Wilgy.

There's nothing much I feel the need to say to her or to anyone. SPF's was a fairly lazy but understandable reaction to my posts. People who high post and give 'effort' don't tend to like people who hang around not keeping up with them, and all it takes is a little thing to nitpick (such as my 'shrug' at the Mac thing) to become 'PoE because why not'. This is particularly true in a gamestate with quality players doing quality things - it's hard to find good wolves on D1 and easy to go after the leftovers of the lobby.

I've given a few passing thoughts on things I had passing thoughts on, but I will not be making any effort to do more, particularly not in D1. I stand by my initial bold declaration - I will not be a miselim this game.

It's always interesting to note *when* the 'MR is uninspiring' narrative first picks up. I'm not actually sure I've noticed a particular pattern to it - sometimes it's mid round, sometimes it's later, sometimes it's not until D2.

I will pop in to say that the one thing I do not like about this game is how hedgy everyone is. This even applies to some of my townreads. Voting "sleep" or whatever should not even be in consideration.
