There is a one use soup kill in this game. If a soup kill is attempted, it will be announced in the SOD post. Claim characters and roles with caution.
The rest of the setup info has been broken up into spoilers. Please read the setup before game start, this game will not make sense if you have read none of the setup. It isn't particularly complicated, just important!
Elements:
There are four Elements in the game--Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. Every Bender is assigned an element. Non-benders ignore elements. Every element is weak to their opposite element--so Air and Earth are weak to each other, Fire and Water are weak to each other. There maybe specific events that effect this, if there are it will be announced in the thread. If an element targets their opposing element with an ability, if it is an ability that receives feedback (i.e., a rolecop) it will return "no result" or similar, if it does not receive feedback (i.e., a doctor) it will receive no feedback. These same rules apply to a normal roleblock--there will be no distinction between someone roleblocked by another player or roleblocked because they targeted someone of the opposing element. Note that the factional mafia kill will ignore elements.
Benders and non-benders:
Many characters in this game are Benders. Many are not. A bender will generally have a more powerful ability, but this ability will be constrained by their element. Non-benders ignore elements and are less likely to be gated, but will generally have weaker abilities. This is not a hard and fast rule, more of a general guideline. Events in the game will have a larger effect on benders than on non-benders.

First, roles were written. Then roles are assigned to players. Then alignment is randed. Then mafia are given the choice to swap their roles amongst themselves. Thus, roles are not tied to alignment and any role or character could be either alignment.
Host rules:
No direct mod lies (i.e., there may be a mechanic or role where some mod given information may be inaccurate, but it will be clearly delineated what information is reliable vs. potentially unreliable. Think message from one player to another delivered via the mod as an example).
Votes are plurality at deadline, 2/3ish* hammer ends the day early. The default is for mafia to decide ties, this may or may not be changed by outside factors over the course of the game. There will be a no vote option in the poll, this will not be hammerable. There will also be a sleep option, which will be hammerable.
*some creative rounding will be done at host's discretion (ie hammer may be set at 8/13 instead of 9/13), hammer number will always be in the SOD post.
The host rules are: don’t be a dick, no excessive ATE*, don’t angleshoot or quote role PMs and/or host communication, no cross game reads, idc about reading into subs or modkills do it at your own risk, GM will handle everything without consideration for alignment, GM reserves right to modify remove or add rules as needed.
*defined as: statements that directly say or imply that something in the game is having a negative impact on someone’s out of game relationships or well-being. if you believe the game is having a negative impact on your life, please contact myself and/or the Mod On Duty (jaggedjimmyjay).
