Actv has mode more posts than just that, and you still have a vote on her, and I mostly see you posting giving a lot of townreads on people, and just park your vote on Actv for now, for a reason I have yet to be convinced of.

You state to have got to known Dana a lot in a very limited time with her in a scum chat before a re-roll. This is not only a very short time to feel this strongly about someone's entrance and persona, but also, and mostly, you refer to a chat you two both were scum: how did that prior interaction end up you now being capable of reading her town based on that entrance? If anything, if Dana's entrance reminds you of how you got to learn her through a prior scum chat, I would rather expect you to be at least to be wary of her being scum based on that entrance and persona stuff. If I am missing something here, I'll gladly hear.

Just talking with someone about the game can go a long way toward better understanding who they are, how they think about the game, and what might be promising or concerning markers. That it was a mafia chat was and is not meaningful to me. I still left that chat knowing her better than I had entered it, and it even helped me to find her as town in the re-rolled version of the same game.

To say I feel "strongly" about it wouldn't be entirely accurate, but I would say that I am "comfortable" with it. And that's good enough for now.

You didn't mention the town part in the re-rolled version at first. I am still missing anything concrete that would differ her town play from her scum play in your posting, also regarding her entrance and persona that's been mentioned. You are ending with a ''that's good enough for now''. I kinda feel like you have a lot of good enough for now's going on. You easily spread townreads and I often miss context for them, but may I ask what or who is not good enough for now?

Nothing drives mafia nuts like townies town reading townies. That's what I strive for.

What you say about Tangrowth is technically valid -- she has a relatively low ratio of post-count-to-reads-content and much of her play to this point has been of the fluffier conversational variety. In a backwards manner, that actually contributes to my positive view of her. I get no impression that she is trying to look a part or move the game any particular direction (i.e. agenda) beyond a few choice questions/pokes/reads. Instead she just looks thrilled to be here, in her first Syndicate game in quite a while -- a significant thing given that she founded the website. Her comfort level is suitable to the town alignment, and there's still enough reading going on in her posts to make her relevant and involved.

Vigilance on the Tangrowth read is important, because she has proven in the past to be a capable mafioso who can outpost most town players in her sleep. On that front I don't fault you or others for being unsure. I lean in the positive direction at this point though.

My thought process is that Dana is town and Actv shaded her for bad reasons and has been generally awkward overall.

My answer to people bringing up deepwolf paranoia on D1 is always the same. Just catch his teammates. If he busses them then he gets meched out as the lone wolf. If he defends them then he gets kicked out of the towncore when they flip.

Are you someone who can tell me more about this? For starters, I am definitly not as the same place as the Cindy Kate vets, and it wouldn't be a first time I as a guest on a different forum see things the home vets don't. At first I was surprised at Guillotine's top 3 town and top 3 scum were so different from what most people came so far, but on a second thought I actually don't hate his top 3's, at all.

Quick townreads on D1 are common on the Syndicate. Sometimes they're wrong. Nobody cares. We have the rest of the gam to identify and correct that error, and in the meantime having a towncore provides structure and organization.

I know it bothers you, but I don’t have a reads list. Make of my posts what you will. You will know my scum reads by my votes. I don’t care about legacy reads (I know I’m probably in the minority here), but just because someone is town doesn’t make their reads gold, and I’ve seen scum capitalize on legacy reads if a townie incorrectly marks them as town. You can get the better information from a player by reading their interactions with others.
