YES!!! That was in fact a very good threadstate read, because it's pretty obvious I have no team here...I'm stuck with town who are pretty universally playing by lame feelie reads and clueless instead of having a pack...but notice how they made this good read they are getting towncred for and NEVER MOVED THEIR VOTE. I cannot believe I have to point this out. Oh wait, I ALREADY HAVE pointed it out, repeatedly.
outed as lost wolf tbh
Are they though? They might just be pure Mafia.

The preflip on TAT is almost a "whoops I preflipped" preflip. Like you're barely supposed to notice van's already counting TAT as a pelt.

Up to now van's regularly called that one thing TAT did wolfy, but hasn't really gone past that. She clearly isn't sure on TAT in the second quote. She's already considering Nook spewed by TAT.

The Mana preflip has all the same problems. First of all, why the fuck does there even need to be a dichotomy again, especially when she says the reads have nothing to do with each other, and then again, the preflip on the unconfident scumread. She hedged on the read when it first came up too, saying it could be TWTBAW.

The whole thing just feels like she's putting worldbuilding in front of plain reads in an agenda'y way. Like, she's not diving headfirst all the way into either read, but she's playing with that plan in mind anyway.
ooookay so i missed this post. woops. it's a villagery look at the very least.

so is the point here that i'm not diving 6 layers deep in a wolf read? i mean... that's not really my style to begin with. you're basically calling me a wolf because i started pushed on two and through for a specific reason and not much past that, which... you're suggesting that i need 10 reasons for someone to be a wolf to actually be super confident in it? i think that's pretty absurd, and absolutely not true for me personally anyways. tell me one person that has demonstrated an incredibly nuanced and multilayered read in this game so far if you can? because i can't remember one (you dont count btw). i do think two and through is a wolf currently, and my posts should clearly indicate as such. you're placing your unreasonably high expectations onto me. it's d1 my friend. i'm not going to have a dissertation on why two and through or mana are wolves if they are wolves.

the dichotomy i'm placing between mana and two and through is based on how mana treated two and through. the slot voted two and through but in a vicarious way. you pointed out that i hedged, and that's true. to me it looks like it's too bad of a vote to be w/w, but it's not like i've seen bad w/w votes before. that's just what my gut instinct said. if wolves are going to vote on their partners, they want to look good. i also never said that they had nothing to do with each other, you're misconstruing that based on me saying "regardless of two and through's alignment". that's not the implication there. the implication is that the vote looks individually bad for mana.

besides i feel like you're seeing ghosts wrt this disparity. my read on julinook is not just based on two and through being a wolf, it's also based on how they approached the read. that's villagery to me regardless of two and through's alignment. my read on mana is that some of their posts are wolfy regardless of two and through's alignment.
regardless, i think the conclusion also has problems insofar as you haven't actually asked yourself why if i was a wolf i would be pre-flipping. the most obvious answer would be tmi, right? but you clearly don't seem to think that's the case based on you thinking my posts are agenda-y. so i'm just confused on where you stand on this as a whole.
Do you have any interest in actually solving this slot, or are you just on "flip it and see"?

Because I already gave a common wolf agenda for making pre-flip reads, and you apparently didn't read that post.

It seems like you have no interest in actually "defending" your slot, since you are just dismissing or not even reading questions/observations about what you are doing.

It also seems like you aren't really interested in evaluating me, just in making sure no one listens to me.

To repeat...wolves hate to make reads day one that will commit them. If someone becomes a consensus borderline POE and the wolf laid down a town read day one that is hard for them to get out of it makes it awkward to push for the mischop. If it comes down to really needing to expand a tightening POE it is even worse. So, good wolf makes a bunch of preflip reads instead. They look "helpful" and "solvey"...but when the root of their world flips one simple "oh I was wrong there" gives them a free range reset by erasing all those awkward day one reads.

Now, I'm kind of interested in the Mana read, because you are now making it very clear that is a read you are willing to commit to regardless of my alignment. If you could expand on how that is a wolfy vote a little more that would be...well...helpful.
okay i'm trying to look for "questions i didn't answer in two and through's iso" and i got to this point where he accused mist of not answering a question

i rechecked the iso and mist didn't really dodge any questions two and through was asking xem early on

as far as i know this entire post is patently untrue because neither of my game nor mist's game fits this criteria

The question you dodged and continue to dodge is why you are ignoring the clear potential that I did what I did for exactly the reasons I said I did it...which are towny reasons. You have very clearly just locked me in as your mischop of the day. Most of your other reads are easy to get off of when I flip town, maintaining you a clear fresh start for day two. The only read I had seen to that point that didn't fit that was the read on Mana so I tried to get you to talk about that and you luffed that off.

Now who is "misrepresenting"?

i've explained why i thought the vote triangulation post was wolfy. i explained why tim generally not being helpful on d1 isn't a good defense. with all due respect, read.

As to the contention that I just kept on fluff posting...I was maybe the only one that DIDN'T. I pointed out an actual fact. you made a wolfy post and i called out why it was wolfy. keep deflecting though.

fluffposting in rvs doesn't really matter. my problem is you continued to do so at a point where there was legitimately stuff to be investigated, and the one thing (the vote triangulation) your hydra did point out didn't go anywhere. it didn't have anything to do with the observation you made either. it was how you phrased the observation and did nothing with it. that is what sparked discussion, so trying to act as though what you did was actually progressing the game state is wrong, because the ones that did progress the game state were the ones that made the read based on how you made the read and not with the read itself.
Bullshit. I posted an observation of a fact and you faked a snit about it. It wasn't "a wolfy post," it was a statement of fact. You wanted to spin it as shade, and I told you it wasn't shade. I and numerous other people told you there could be town reasons for pointing out that fact. The observable truth is that almost all reads that are more than "gosh feelies" in this game somehow revolve around that observation of a fact, so guess what, it worked and the town reasons that I made that post are proving out.

Now, you can either maintain the chainsawing and keep making your associative reads that you can back right off of when I flip town and "surprise" you, or you can move on and try to do something less obviously wolfy. Choose.

Julinook wrote: Wed May 05, 2021 9:22 am Good morning all. I'm going to sort through what I'm thinking about people as of now. Still a lot of nulls but I hope to resolve some of them today. There is no order within the tiers.

Town Leans
Akemi Hazelnut - started leaning town on them yesterday and that hasn't changed. Probing, solvey.

Mana - they identified a wolf read on someone being considered towny by the thread. I like the fact they are not just going along with consensus even though I didn't fully understand their point about falcon knows open wolfing. Also Nook is leaning town.

TonyStarkPlayingItCool - Like their read on mana and their reaction to T&B's numbers. Not sure if I agree with their vote for BT.

trans rights - I liked their questioning of whether the game state supports a T&T wolf. Made me stop and think about my read, though I still end up sussing T&T.

Null
Falconknows - I was town reading this slot yesterday but I didn't see much if anything out of them yesterday which bothers me so I'm moving them to null. There are still a couple of posts I find villagery but there just isn't enough there for me to keep them as a town lean.

Bottom Text - I'm basically just confused about BT. I can't tell who is speaking when, and maybe that doesn't really matter. Sometimes they seem to be mad but maybe they are just kidding. There was one whole page - pg. 16 for me - where I had no idea of what they really thought. Voting Poop Explosions but I couldn't tell you why. I could use some help with the reasons why several are seeing them as wolf.

Toopy and Binoo - There were a couple of posts early on that made me feel like Toopy was a wolf but then Binoo came in with posts I found villagery. BT and I believe TR seem to be familiar with Gavial and are leaning village on them so I may need to sheep that read for today. I do not understand their numbers at all- it feels like they are pulling them out of thin air but since I don't do math I need someone else to tell me if the numbers are kosher. My scum lean is voting here so thats a plus for them. Don't see myself voting here today.

Honey & Vinegar - I have no experience reading Urist and I can't remember anything they've said.

Timsuptogettingserious - I just need to iso them and I feel like they will move from null.

Poop Explosions - Same as with above, I just need to iso.

The Walrus - no ratable behavior.

Leaning Scum
Two and Through - Still reading them as wolf.

Priorities for today:

Come to a decision about Bottom Text. Understand the reasons for the wolf reads as well as the town reads.

Iso Poop and Timsgettingserious and sort them.

Iso Honey & Vinegar and sort.
Personally I think your town.
But if your scum I bet both your buddies are in your Town Leans and I’m completely wrong on my solve.

-Toopy
^ this seems like a town thing to say. I can't imagine faking that type of thought.

We are a bit uncertain on julenook - not sure on their reasoning for some of their reads. For instance, their read on TSPIC. They like that they like Mana as town. Doesn't seem like the greatest reason to put them in your town category.. also given that they're unsure of their current vote,

In general, their reads seem contrived.

walrus' posts are tonally okay but it's a null iso overall

Boom game won leaving thread now bye
H&V I am interested in your reads here. What leads you to believe these three are scum? Also, I noticed you think T&T is obvious town so I'm interested in hearing your thoughts there too.
Toopy was caught using a text editor. They were probably running posts by one another. I want to continue scum reading them just to justify getting rid of them but they do seem town now. Binoo's posts are actually scummy tho
Trans rights has a bunch of posts that are scum indicative. If I had time to iso them i probably wouldn't but i might in the future sometime
Falconknows is just openly scum idk how to explain it further.

I have seen various people say that Toopy/Binoo are firmly in their town range and that they're either rand at best, or actively in their town meta. I am accepting that shield for D1.

The only person I would be willing to vote other than TAT would be Mana.
