Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 1]
don't think poop explosions has been villagery yet personally. i kinda think that mac dipping out of the thread when c4 had things under control was kinda wolfy and c4's own posts haven't exactly inspired me either.
v reads:
akemi
timsup2gettinserious
wolfreads:
two and through
not sure about bottom text. mist told me that their read on me given she was the one posting early in the day and not me could make sense but i had thoughts that it looked like a progression that flowed into itself unnaturally. think i'm anticipating just more material because i can probably get a read on either of the heads if they post more.
i might reread the thread to see if i can see something villagery or wolfy that i missed because there's some slots i've glanced over a bit and i dont feel great about how little reads i have here

i think hyena's been more villagery than people give him credit for. i don't think it's at the point where i can clear him but so far he's at least demonstrated that he's coming from a town mindset this game.Poop Explosions wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 12:10 pm Yo van, still here?

So, you are wolf reading me because I engaged in a conversation? Is that the gist here?trans rights wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 12:04 pmnewsflash my friendTwoAndThrough wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 7:03 amWhat was I supposed to think about the vote triangle? I think what makes it unusual is that it's kind of typical for people to think the person voting them might be a wolf, and that someone voting for that person could be right in doing so...or at the least take kind of an unconscious "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" path. So generally when you have someone voting you and then someone votes for them the reaction is to pile on, not make a triangle. But as I said I am not claiming to "know what it means," I'm just doing my usual drift through day one and noted an oddity.TonyStarkPlaysItCool wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 3:46 am On second thoughts, not providing a thought on the vote triangle is mildly wolfy i guess
Of course, my usual drift through day one has all the usual complainers complaining. The people who throw random "reads" based on whatever feelie they get from some obscure bit of wording want me to do the same, and since I don't they cry wolf. The people who want to ascribe some deep meaning to "they opened with a copy pasta" when the player most likely always opens with a copy pasta are upset that I am not having a deeply meaningful conversation about the copy pasta, and they cry wolf. Syn is no doubt gonna death tunnel me again because he is always crying wolf when I come around. It's just another day one in the life.
So here's the deal. I'm town. As I just showed in Nanook's game, if you give me some flips to work with I will happily solve the game and die. I know no one is gonna let me end game. No one should ever let me end game. But at this point I think you should start looking at why so many people are willing to say "oh, one of them misspelled first in their matching one word entry posts...that's a wolf tell for sure" or whatever dumb nonsense is being pitched here. Because somewhere in there are the usual opportunists thinking that this time...finally this time...they are gonna be the wolves that get a day one chop on me.
that's like the only productive thing you've done all game, so of course if your only observation is a complete nothingburger, you're not going to get a good response. your only other contributions have been some read on the falconknows slot with... not even sure if that was serious because you were answering for someone else and the answer wasn't even definitive, and you engaging in with mist regarding a discussion of godreads. i won't disagree that godreads can be unreliable because i've seen many a godread be wrong before! but it seems like you were specifically taking the line to try and discredit mist when all she was doing was talking about how people can't reliably read her and the process required to be able to reliably read her.
mist clearly was not fishing for a "godread". who do you actually think would have a godread on mist in this game? hyena or something? no, what was actually happening was mist being annoyed about bottom text thinking they could read her when their read wasn't good.

btw this might be the worst post in the entire game. it's almost to the point where i don't think a wolf would make it if they're wolf buddies with two and through. i remember the tim/hk slot writing a post that made me physically cringe though so i'm fine bullying them (they smell)
but given the obvious implication of this asking who i want to vote
idk but im not moving it off of transrights just to make a statement tbh
I'll vote them for now tho, see if things go anywhere organically. If we play our cards right, maybe we can get HK to join us
@TwoAndThrough thoughts on bullying Tim?

no of course that's not true and you'd know if you read my posts. your posts are fluffy, and you shaded mist regarding the godread thing in a way i didn't like. interacting with others isn't wolfy by itself but i think how you've went about this game so far is very wolfy. especially for hollow, hollow should have some semblance of thoughts right now if he's actually a villager because fluffposting is what he does as a wolf.TwoAndThrough wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 1:05 pmSo, you are wolf reading me because I engaged in a conversation? regardless i'm not killing the slot today so it doesn't really matter
on a sidenote, i think julinook is a villager for nanook's push onto two and through. it's in the sweetspot where it probably isn't a bus if two and through is a wolf and i generally like the aggression and persistence of the read
i think the way toopy and binoo came to the two and through/timsup2gettinserious w/w feels decently natural. it's not a hard observation to make but the way they phrased the read as "no one can convince me otherwise" is pretty villagery
i kinda get the feeling that there's a wolf in two and through and mana. again mana's vote on two and through is kinda bad regarding of the latter's alignment. they also went into commentary mode regarding my interactions with bottom text in a wolfy way. if mana is a wolf, bottom text is probably a villager i think.

You've said before that your playstyle involves baiting mafia into a push on you and exposing them based on the way they treat you. Which of these five people are opportunistic mafiosos? I'm not a fan of you vaguely gesturing towards the people pushing you as consisting of a mix of wrong town and wolfy opportunists without identifying which ones are which, and why.
I'm intrigued by the way Bottom Text got on and then got right back off like they realized they had touched a hot stove.
I think Syn's lame justification for getting on the wagon was unironically wolfy. But Syn tends to be kinda wolfy and always wants to eliminate me so not going too hard at that yet.
I think Vanity is very sketch generally speaking and that making me seem like a good place to park might be giving her an excuse to not do anything else.
Nanook starting this nonsense with a nonsense vote based on a one word read, to be honest, might be just helping me out by getting things started since he knows I need a wagon on my back to give me something to study...and if he turned out to be right he would be positioned to claim full credit without doing any work. Very Nanook.
Made is just ughhhh. He knows better so probably just a wolf. We'll see.

I didn't like the way Mist played "to really know me is to townread me" games with the thread, and I asked about it.

Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 1]
Based on what? What great events have happened for me to have "had thoughts" on? Am I supposed to have done a bunch of first post reads like Nanook? Oh, wait, I'm not Nanook. Pointed out a bunch of random posts for "feelies" and conf biased about how "logically" they mean exactly what they "felt like" like Nutella? Oh wait, I'm not Nutella. I am playing day one exactly the way I always play day one, and HK is helping me track the results. That's what anyone that knows us would expect us to do day one and is absolutely pure NAI.trans rights wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 1:32 pmnot do anything else? what on earth have you think i've been doing all game? i just called you out because you should've had legitimate thoughts on the game way before this point. i mean even here i don't really see any stances that inspire me because you're handling me/syn/alison at arms length.TwoAndThrough wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 1:27 pmI'm still observing.
We'll see.
The only event for me to have any thoughts on is the formation of wagons, and look, here I am, having thoughts. Even though they were just single votes I thought the triangle formation was notably weird, and said so. Now I think the wagon on me is typically lame since I am being exactly myself, not town Tim, not wolf Tim, just plain Tim...and YOU are reaching so hard to make "Tim is like this every game but this time it is wolfy" reads out of it that you are likely to pull a muscle.

What was I supposed to think about the vote triangle? I think it was unusual, and I made that pretty clear. I actually don't recall seeing that before. With no previous experience of it I have no earthly idea what to make of it. But as I said I am not claiming to "know what it means," I'm just doing my usual drift through day one and noted an oddity.
Because somewhere in there are the usual opportunists thinking that this time...finally this time...they are gonna be the wolves that get a day one chop on me.
that's like the only productive thing you've done all game, so of course if your only observation is a complete nothingburger, you're not going to get a good response. your only other contributions have been some read on the falconknows slot with... not even sure if that was serious because you were answering for someone else and the answer wasn't even definitive, and you engaging in with mist regarding a discussion of godreads. i won't disagree that godreads can be unreliable because i've seen many a godread be wrong before! but it seems like you were specifically taking the line to try and discredit mist when all she was doing was talking about how people can't reliably read her and the process required to be able to reliably read her.
mist clearly was not fishing for a "godread". who do you actually think would have a godread on mist in this game? hyena or something? no, what was actually happening was mist being annoyed about bottom text thinking they could read her when their read wasn't good.
what's exactly the problem with that? i know mist's alignment. she's a villager. so fmpov, i'm seeing someone shade her in a way i think is wolfy. there's nothing wrong with that fmpov and that should be obvious. i'm making a read based on the information i have.

for the record, i actually tend to emphasize a lack of information more as a wolf. i can't tell you how many times i've seen villagers do EXACTLY what i just did and wolf!me saying "i don't like pre-flips rawr"

Okay. Assuming you are Katze that makes partner mean Esooa and Esooa jumped on just to see if anything would happen and jumped back off because for the most part nothing did. Re: Modern Family Hydra Mafia [Day 1]
believe it or not, this is exactly the reason why, even though i had this "two and through is fluffposting a lot" concern early, i didn't voice it until after i went on work break. it's because at that point, your slot had still done squat to progress the game state when you clearly should have. maybe your current approach is nai for you, but you're also misconstruing my actual push on you. my read doesn't have anything to do with you specifically because i don't think i can read you particularly well. hollow is a different story, and while i've talked about that as well already, that's not really my exact issue either. it had to do with how you ABSENCE OF ANY META ARGUMENTS were approaching the game, and the one time you made a contribution, it was a do-nothing observation.TwoAndThrough wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 1:44 pmBased on what?
