What's your favorite hot sauce?

I carry this in my purse, no lie. It's in there right now. I checked.

You can get it from amazon et al.

I love spicy food, but unfortunately am not much of a connoisseur of hot sauces.

I think Chicago Fire Sauce is incredible tasting, but it is not very hot.

Those look really good, guys!

Here is another of my favorites. They usually have this at Tijuana Flats. They often have a spicier version of this that I will get because I am a stomach lined with titanium

I have had that Louisiana one Rob posted and agree that it is very delicious. I miss being able to go to Atomic Wings in New York and get incredibly spicy buffalo wings. The heat level I usually got was called "abusive."

I cant grab the photo right now, but Anchor Bar Buffalo Wing sauce it my favorite. My friend from Buffalo used to bring it to us in college and we'd eat pizza with it. There was a period of time where I would carry it around in my purse too! When I left a bottle somewhere I stopped doing that though.

I can eat super hot things. I am more of a medium person truth be told.

So awesome, best hot sauce ever, it is really smooth before the punch. My cousin lives near the bar this came from originally in Syracuse, NY. They make several sauces, but Wango Tango is the one where people stop drinking at the bar to watch when someone uses it for the first time.

This is diggz's preferred hot sauce so it's what we usually have around the house:

Image

TBH - 99% of the time, when I do use hot sauce, it's as an ingredient with other things. I'm not an expert on them or picky about which one I use as a "dash of" in my pico or a "dash of" on eggs. As far as on it's own merit goes I'm pretty indifferent to the different kinds. (Like wings for example, I don't like them buffalo type at all. I'll only eat them plain or bbq and I'm pretty picky about the bbq too....)
I was born to speak all mirth and no matter.... :wine:

This is a really good sauce too if you like a little sweet with your heat.

We usually keep a Tapatio somewhere in the pantry. Lots of good sauce ideas, guys! Thanks!

BBQ sowce suggestions are also welcome!

It's funny, when I lived in Montana, 2,000 miles from Syracuse, the local grocery carried the whole line. Now I am in NY, and I have to mail order it. You can get hot sauces from Cambodia, India, Italy, Mexico, etc., but I have not found one store that carries this brand made in NY state. THis is more of a BBQ sauce, but I tend to use it as a general hot sauce unless it's Asian food. Then I use Sriracha sauce, the one with the Rooster on the bottle.

Do you not have Wegmans there? I'm pretty sure they carry it. (Then again, maybe not at all stores)
I feel your pain having to mail order things :consoling: I almost had to spend £20 for some graham crackers a few weeks ago.

Y'all don't even know how happy this thread makes me. First tea, now hot sauce! These are my current favorites, although they're certainly not all-inclusive:

Image
It's a bit sweet (but not nasty sweet, because I can't abide by that), and hot as hell but good God it tastes so good. If you don't like Wild Turkey, I'll see you at 3 behind the flagpole.

And this collection:
Image
I have the red one in the fridge right now and it's my go-to for adding to soup and chili because it adds heat without changing the flavor too much (or making the flavor more awesome, however you want to think of it). I have many a hot sauce in the fridge for different things, but these are my favorites :D
