This was meant to be replied to but this forum is messing up and constantly trying to make me tag Jack. In any case, this is the post that makes LC look the worst, as there's no good reason for Jack not to vote for a town LC here when he already has the excuse of sheeping Mac once the flip happens+plus his vote wasn't on a competitive wagon(nutella), and that's a worse look for Jack if nutella is town and they flipped there.

Good lord, four pages at the eod? I’m going with my gut based on my earlier reads. What’s the story with the LC wagon? Did I miss something or is it in these last four pages?

If I'm picking out one moment from Daisy's ISO that doesn't sit well with me, it's this. I color coded the three separate ideas conveyed in this near-deadline post.

Green - I'm not sure what precisely Daisy means when she says "Dear God", but the implication seems to be that there's four pages of content she has not read. This leads into...
Blue - She will need to resort to a vote based on previously-formed reads. I do not object on principle. With so little time, she can't possibly be expected to take in everything that's happened in her absence. But...
Orange - We have established that Daisy is voting for her pre-existing suspect (Soneji) and won't/can't take in the previous four pages of the thread in time for it to impact her decision. Her vote has been cast, and the tone of the Blue sentence makes it seem final, set in stone. But then she tacks on a question about one of the competing wagons, as though she has interest in it enough to merit a vote change. But Blue and Orange don't mesh. Green and Blue do, and then Orange feels tacked on out of obligation. "I am supposed to be interested in this case, so I will ask."

Things were pretty hectic at this time, so it's understandable if she didn't see that Jack was starting to receive votes too. She commented after the fact to say she "never would have voted him". And I note no further interest in LC. In fact, all three of her Day 2 posts are exclusively focused on self-defense with the brief exception of some shade directed at ted for his suspicion against her. I do not struggle to read her deadline post as that of a mafioso who showed up at the end of what seemed to be a safe lynch, so she just went through the motions and checked off the boxes which required checking. Her follow-ups on Night 1/Day 2 do not reflect an earnest interest in solving the game. I understand that it can be frustrating and overwhelming to become Suspect #1 overnight like she has, but self-defense can't accomplish anything if you're not also trying to help us find another target for suspicion. So [mention]Spacedaisy[/mention] if you want us to vote for somebody else today, help us figure out who that should be.

Might be worth noting that that post was made a minute after the poll had already closed. So I assume she quickly voted Soneji, then made that post. Which kinda makes the LC question even weirder, since I assume since she voted first she realized the deadline was up anyway.

When I dropped a placeholder vote on Colin (i.e. not an actual vote that means anything at all), Jack responded with confusion. It didn't even occur to me at the time that the confusion stemmed from the vote on Colin (now Jay). A placeholder vote is essentially a non-vote, or at least that's how I intended it and always interpret it when people use the term. My sense is that his primary motive here was to push me a little, either for optics or just to test the waters in the Sloonei Suspicion game. But ColinIsJay is tangentially relevant in all this, and it might mean something. I'd lean town, since it seems like a bit of a risk for Jack to react like this at the very first mention in the game of his absentee partner.

Also the timing of daisy's vote/post makes it a bit strange that she questioned the LC wagon but not the quick move onto Jack-- though to be fair it did happen quite fast at the very end so it's possible she had voted and looked at the poll when LC was still ahead and while she was writing the post the cfd happened. Awkward though in any case.

1. She sounded like the best person to pick because she wasn't saying anything that somebody evil would say.

2. You can't just figure everybody out at the start of the game when there's no proof and no votes in.

Myo is purely a tone read. I spent a little bit of time early in the game poking her with general mafia questions and her answers felt like somebody who was eager to play the game and start solving, but that hasn't translated into a ton of reads so far.

I don't, but my read is that he had to react quickly and he wasn't necessarily expecting to be lynched himself, but he acted rapidly in self-preservation. My instinct there would be that he turned to the readily available civilian counterwagon to himself, which would be you.

A little birdie tells me Soneji and Daisy aren't teamed, because at EOD she had an out to vote Long Con to save Jack. Instead she stuck with her Soneji suspicion. If she is just distancing there, it'd be goofy given that there's more civilian credit available in just blasting Jack in the face.

Things that stand out:

Lon Con. Decent number of comments but a lot are arguing about his credit for the Jackofhearts2005 lunch. The beating of a dead horse is ehhhhhhh to me. Reading it back it seems very obvious to me that he isn’t going to get people to agree with him but he keeps going. Strikes me a bit as thread derailment, but it was a night phase, so I’m not actually sure how much merit this point holds since there was no lynch voting ongoing.

What is the message you intend to convey with this read? Is Long Con a mafioso? You seem to drift faintly in that direction, but you remove any clarity from the read with that "but" caveat at the end.

The point that I was trying (and apparently failing) to get across is that I get wolfy feelings from it. It goes from being relatively jokey to actually quite serious. I’d expect a townie to shrug it off as annoying/disappointing whatever when it became obvious that people disagreed with his responsibility for the Jackofhearts2005 vote-out but he doesn’t. Does that make sense? I’m not really sure how to make to point more clearly.

JaggedJimmyJay flips between calling Sloonei suspicious last phase to ranking him town this phase with no reasoning to the switch that I’ve seen. As I’ve said, I don’t particularly like rapid flip-flops on alignment with no reasoning behind the switch, it comes across to me as throwing things out and seeing what gets picked up by others and then moving on from the rest.

Sloonei is evidentially suspicious and tonally okay. I don't care about my flip flop. I may well do it again. What's your own read on Sloonei?

As it stands, your only clear read remains: MacDougall is town. That's not indicative to me of a player hunting for the mafia team.
