Re: AtLA D1
God I just remembered that character is from Bleach. Remember when that series was good, briefly. And the side characters were relevant.
I should probably do a read on sig to make sure this vote is actually a good idea but I guess that can wait a minute

But mafia is a game about consensus building. This is why you lose games for towns, short of just when you're a wolf I guess, because trying to assume decision-making for the entire town doesn't work. It's open to manipulation from every angle by scum, even when the self-appointed townleader IS town, and you're neutering one of the town's biggest weapons which is the wisdom of crowds.
I am not someone who approaches games with the same mentality every time. I also have changed a great deal as a player since then. I'd appreciate if you would give me the benefit of the doubt on this otherwise this game will be a suckfest.
I apologise for being callous in my reaction.
Long story short I'm up for trying to be more productive etc. but I'm not gonna play ball with the idea that anyone should be deferring to anyone else's judgments per se.
In fairness I do actually agree that I played like shit and as HK will attest that game was part of my motivation to radically re-assess my strategy as town and adopt one that's more uh
I always get made fun of for this because it sounds pretentious and I guess it is, but I strive to be more Daoist and try to divorce myself from ego in my town play now. Including and actually very much focused on letting go of the illusion of control via narratives and trying to focus on holistic gut reads
That being said it still doesn't do much d1 which is usually a shit show no matter what you do honestly

So noting here that Axel is (probably) using "pole" because I referred to poles in my previous post, instead of "poll" which is what (he?) meansNotAnAxehole wrote: ↑Wed Jun 30, 2021 12:16 am @IBA you need to use the pole, the text vote feature laughably does nothing.
Vocal drift is a universal phenomenon- you hear other people pronounce a word or use it a certain way and you are likely to do the same instinctively. This is how accents, dialects, and languages form and change in the first place, it's not a conscious endeavor. In fact great effort has to be made to check this growth, hence the modern (from a grand perspective) proliferation of dictionaries, writers' guides, and other institutions to formalize language. Hence the Devil's Dictionary's entry for same:
At any rate, this is to say that while scum might do this too, it suggests a pretty relaxed posture that is >null town, as tells go.DICTIONARY, n. A malevolent literary device for cramping the growth of a language and making it hard and inelastic. This dictionary, however, is a most useful work.
