This feels so backwards from what I would consider normal logic.

Because not all of them are town...why even some of them didn't use their ability (or use correctly) is beyond me.

But yeah, the non-use of the ability for me is just too incriminating to overlook.

At best Ruri can use their ability to kill someone by declaring who they gave it to the previous night, if mafia is afraid of the potential 1v1, they'll just kill that person in the night.

Even if they are Mafia, they are forced into giving the Cop results since they cannot lie about having received it without being caught.

There's no reason, at this point in the game you have no guarantee that your ability would even have an opportunity to see the light of day, not using it both N1 and N2 is simply inexcusable because you have to consider a 2 night delay before you can actually make use of it, so if you wait till night 3, you can't possibly get a result till day 5 assuming you and your target both live.

Like it's fine if you're like "I've been Towny" but don't claim to be cop confirmed, that's a farce.

Mafia players make bad claims. The issue is I don't even know what mafia should make as a fake claim in this set up given that many of the roles are confirmed in the OP, if you're mafia and you didn't rand any of the confirmed roles, you're probably feeling pretty bad about it.

I get the impression that the mafia team has resigned.

I got clarification, the no redirection roles clause in the OP is specifically referring to roles that are categorized as redirection roles on Mafia Universe role list. So a bodyguard-eque role would not fit into that category.

Other games I played in the past used "custom-themed roles/setups".
This is the first game I play in a "standard" or "vanilla" game or whatever this is called.

You could also ask every player in the game to make a verifiable statement such as : "I am town" and you check whoever you want on that statement. 2nd cop

TBH from MafiaScum I remember this type of play to be explicitly (intentional or not) banable so it's interesting actually seeing it.
