I can get where your coming from when you say there are actual cops and sure from that perspective your right but that’s only from your perspective and not the overall perspective.
Now this is an example of what you might see from a hosts perspective
1)Town Sane Cop
2)Town Sane Cop
3)Town Insane Cop
4)Town Insane Cop
5)Town Paranoid Cop
6)Town Paranoid Cop
7)Town Naive Cop
8)Town Naive Cop
9)Town Random Cop

Ok so you see it as town has a good chance on figuring out who the sane/insane cops are and who’s not but that isn’t entirely the case.
Alright now ignoring the Mafia PR’s let’s do an example split.
2 Sane, 2 Insane and 2 Paranoid Cops Check Odd Nights
3 Naive Cops, 1 Random Cop and 1 Sane Cop on Even Nights
Now let’s say town reveals all their checks, this is what they have. Mafia will probably also 2-2 it so I’ll add their fake checks as well.
Sane1: Town Result
Sane2: Scum Result
Insane1: Scum Result
Insane2: Scum Result
Paranoid1: Scum Result
Paranoid2: Scum Result
Mafia1: Scum Result
Mafia2: Town Result
Now at this point you can’t really do anything with this information.
Now we have a mountainous day and go into night phase.
With now 2 town deaths at this point so the above list could even be without one of them.
So as of Day 2,
Naive1: Town Result
Naive2: Town Result
Naive3: Town Result
Random: Scum Result
Sane:Scum Result
Mafia1: Town Result
Mafia2: Town Result
Again, there’s nothing here. Just a bunch of what if’s.
The only way to have actual confirmation here is by someone having opposite results but if Random Cop exists it doesn’t really help at all and it could just be luck.
Not to mention to reach that point it’ll need to be at least Day 4 or 5 which we already have lots of dead people at that point.
When a Cop dies we also don’t know if they were real or not so it’s not like we can get any confirms or anything.
My point is, in order for this game to not be basically mountainous is for either the removal of Odds/Even Nights OR reveal the real role of those who get day executed.

Like mafia killing someone would reveal the dead Townie as “Good Cop”
But a Good Cop being yeeted would reveal their true role like “Insane Cop” or something.

I mean if you reveal what kind of cop they are on death that would work.
If not then it’s basically mountainous.
Like maybe make it so Mafia Cleans but Day Eliminations on a Townie reveals their Cop Type.

So this is basically mountainous since you also limit their checks from Odd and Even so pretty much we are all VT since it also isn’t revealed what cop we were so not sure why this isn’t mountainous in the first place but then again mafia receive abilities so this setup is like scum sided.

Is it just Paranoid, Sane, Insane and Naive.

BTW the only cops that can help here is the regular one or that opposite one which is either called Insane or Paranoid I don’t remember entirely.
