i can tend towards verbose as both alignments - i largely haven't been this game, and it's mostly been a deliberate choice, but i'm sure that'll change at some point
obviously i don't expect you to take my word on that, the point of this post is p much just "i have seen and acknowledged your scumread on me and intend to simply change your mind about it"
I probably wouldn't give half a shit under normal circumstances, but the content and context looked particularly worrying.

Re: PSY 2310 - Cognitive Psychology [DAY 1]
Don't have stamina for depth rn
KZA's play here reminds me of those five or so posts he made in CoV that weren't shitposts so that's nice I guess. Never seen him wolf.
Marl towny on ranges alone.
Apparently nut's a super easy read if you know her meta but I don't so the rest of you guys have fun with that. Slightest of leans because she seemed to unalign herself with a lot of people in that argument.
Visor did things that were fine and had takes that were fine.
spf got better. The godread should be fully baked by EoD so this one's pretty low stakes.
I'll wait until the promised wall to read Tang.
sunbae and Vulgard are just town.

Fair, but then I don't get wtf the thunderbolt thing has to do with anything.bronana wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 2:33 pmwhen did i say to lock me town? that's just dismissive snark that doesn't address what I actually said. I think most everyone has me as either neutral or only slightly town or slightly mafia and I haven't given anyone shit about it or said I'm not being townread enough or anything of that nature. If you'd simply expressed a light townread or a null read on me I wouldn't have said anything, it was the "but idk since it's zack" from someone who doesn't know me that set off alarms. If you read S2G1, fair enough I guess, though I have played nothing like that game and it was six years ago anyway.c4e5g3d5 wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 2:23 pmS2G1 because our rep was in it. No, I don't expect you to have already nuked the wolves by now. I don't expect Alison, Amy, Arete, dya, Dizzy, Seth, Hally, KZA, Marl, nut, Visor, spf or Tang to have done so either. Interestingly enough, I've locked none of them town.

You have a surface level open/proactive presence that's vaguely towny but that a good wolf could almost certainly recreate. Not the "I have a very particular set of skills" variety, just a level 0 "do thing as town therefore do thing as wolf" thing that just takes a little skill and experience to navigate. Guess what I've heard you have?

This is my first time actually having to read Hally, and I'm so glad this is a light game.
Unfortunately their ISO just... went straight through me. Either I've been doing too many ISOs at once, there's nothing interesting to see, or both. They're completely inoffensive I guess. Gonna need to check what issue Vulgard took with them again.

Most of Zack's stuff would be a lot townier if I didn't know he was Zack.
Kinda like the way he's building a Voltron (shamelessly stealing this phrase from whoever said it), looks like he's actively thinking about town wincon.
His probes look like they're actually meant to be helpful.

I guess it's the actual motions they went through? With Tang there are clear indicators for what they should do and when. With Hally they just naked vote and later drop the explanation when asked. Seems like there's less room for that to be manufactured.

Re: PSY 2310 - Cognitive Psychology [DAY 1]
I feel like the best way I can describe Arete's play so far is "a towny FoLer".
Had the same reaction I did to Hally's early posting
Think their Tang case is flat NAI sorry nut, it's both an easy and understandable observation.
His interactions with Tang seem genuine but also a bit... formulaic? As in, this is the part where you raise the point, this is the part where you probe further, this is the part where you tsundere. Still think it's townier than not, only thing holding me back from townreading it more is that this is a kind of interaction I've seen hundreds of times with this exact structure.
His elaboration around Hally is so pure

You seem to have a good grasp on reading SPF. Are the things I brought up things she does as town? I've talked about SPF at length already.
By the way, if someone can link her wolfgames other than CoV, I would still be delighted.
Here's a game where spf and I were w/v. The distinction between her ranges was especially clear in this one.

Alison's ISO is entirely Alison-indicative

Amy's Zack read is alright, shows some amount of effort to get whatever she can on paper.
Rest of the ISO is a bunch of "this post is technically ok"

I'd say this is a lot of irrelevant words but she did for me.Amy wrote: ↑Tue May 25, 2021 3:41 am I was pretty disengaged from the org game. I'm pretty engaged with this one. I assume both of these things are pretty self-evident.
In the org game I kinda just skimmed the general shape of Sunbae's posts, said "yeah none of this looks particularly clearing", and was surprised when other people disagreed with me. A lot of this was borne from me knowing generally that Sunbae is a great wolf but not necessarily knowing what that actually LOOKS like (which, ftr, is still true lol), so a disengaged Amy was inevitably gonna be cautious about her read there. Other people being less so spooked me.
This game I'm actively reading and following along and paying attention, which... is probably an improvement lmao. I think the way Sunbae led off today with his "lemme just mason Amy" shenanigans felt super pure and I think him replying to you calling him v by specifically saying "I'm annoyed that you can soulread me so well" is a very... it's not what a wolf's first thought would be in that situation, I don't think.
+ I like his big wallpost re-entrance. I haven't really nitpicked it super hard, but on first impression it feels like the wallpost of someone who was trying to take it easy but wound up with too many thoughts, rather than someone forcing thoughts to look towny or whatever
With that bit of self-consciousness added, it looks like she knows she's in a game with people with meta on her and wants to force the v!Amy perspective for a townread.
Rest of the ISO is a bunch of "this post is technically ok"

I saw her play in some of Jay's games I spectated but beyond that I'm at a loss for what she's said so far, it was... thorough. But I don't think I'd call spf a town read or anything.
As town, she thinks
As wolf, she writes
In her wolf posts, there's some sense of architecture to the ideas, and she writes for show a lot. As town she plays by discovery, and her posts make it obvious she's thinking out loud. She's one of the easiest reads out there if you know what you're doing.
Welcome to Alison
