Re: Willow [Endgame]

Great game you guys! Well deserved win for FZ and INH.

INH - I really like your less zany side. You made a lot of great insights this game really.

A couple of things:

1) Yes - Llama and TH were right about SVS, but for many wrong reasons. SVS would have done and said what she did about Andrew regardless of alignment. With that reasoning you had a 50 percent chance of having been chasing a civ. TH's point about not bringing up suspects had way more weight to it, which was why I agreed with it.

2) Loosing her sucked it. That piggie effect was essentially a kill. It drasitcly reduced our powers as a baddie team, but what are ya gonna do right?

3) I legit missed the vote I was supposed to vote kate for. I ment to get up earlier and somehow slept through my alarm. :( Believe me, at that point, I had NO problems with my force vote (Also - I knew darn well that DH had to force vote but I wasn't letting on to that because well...crap - I had very little to hold on to once elo was gone too.) Once I missed that vote, I knew it was going to be impossible to win. I felt like teh suck to my team too. :(

4) I thought the first time my kill was ganked (JC"s kill ) that it was the indy - because I thought the role said that if the force vote didn't result in a lynch the indi could steal a power. I was waiting to be lynched the whole rest of the game because I thought for sure FZ knew I was the baddie. I also thought when I was cursed to post backwards, it was punishment for having missed the vote.

5) I thought it was weird I lost the kill a second time, but I didn't care because someone was killing civs for me left and right. With the way the lynches were going, I thought I might have had half a chance after all.

6) BTS was a blast. I had so much fun with SVS and Eloh and Epi. As much as I suck it as a baddie. I do love hanging out in the chat room :D

Thanks for a great game everyone! I'm sorry I wasn't at my best for this one. :(

:( Just because I've been sucky this game doesn't mean I'm not a civ. If you want to let INH win FZ that's fine, you can let the baddies win. My head never really got into this game I'll admit. I prolly deserve to losse one for all the suck I've had.

So why are you not doubting INH? See, this is what makes me doubt you a little.
But since this really is a case of numbers, and if what is written in the first page is correct, we only have one more baddie left, so I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt now, and go after the person who has voted for a civvie ever lynch (unless you're not a civvie), and has give us absolutely no reason to trust him. If he turns out to be a civ, I'll be surprised but not floored, and I will be left with you. Why would you be left with me?
I never said I was left with you. I thought you were civ the whole way around. Unless someone else can make me think I was wrong in thinking that, I'm not changing my opinion there.

I am giving DH the BOTD. I want to hear what he has to say - just because.

that should be at least understandable.

Ironicly INH has made the most sense to me this game. I've made more than one comment about how weird that was. I'm used to him being crazy. His being the voice of reason is weird to me, but it's a voice of reason I can't deny.

INH, either way, even if we vote for DH, and he turns out to be the civ, which I highly doubt, we can still win the game, because the baddie can't make a kill next night and it all depends on next day's vote.
Who are you addressing this to? INH? Or everyone?

It's either - you or me or DH.

Re: Willow [Night 6]

RIP Sorsha. I'm sorry I was wrong about you. :(

I didn't vote for Kate because I didn't think she was bad. It's as simple as that. I wasn't trying to make myself look anything. I thought Sorsha was the baddie and I was wrong. Now I have to re-evaluate everything.

I have the best feels about INH and FZ. I hope I'm not wrong in thinking this, but they've appeared civ to me the whole way through.

I know I'm a civ and teeifes is as confirmed as they come what with his being piggied and everything.

MM and DH are at the lower end of my list. Between the two, I've had better feels about MM than DH. I've been trying to give DH the benifit of the doubt because I thought I'd read after the Harry Potter game, that he was trying to play a more low keyed game this game, but I'm not used to it so his quiet does make me more nervous than it would from someone else.

Re: Willow [Day 5]

I know Kate is dead, but I did want to address this now.
Kate wrote:The reason I'm willing to overlook that vote was that it seems Svs was resigned to her fate by then. Remember her trying to get herself lynched over me? Lol.

I'm going to vote bea. I don't think sorsha or dh are as likely to be bad.

I also want to mention one other thing. I've mentioned bea a few times and she just doesn't acknowledge it. That always freaks me a bit.
Kate said a few times she wanted to look at me. I've got no problems with people looking at me. I didn't address it because until this post, she didn't say anything that I could address. Did I really jump that high up on the suspish-o-meter because I dismissed "I'm looking at bea." till some results of what that look at came up with?

I put the second vote on SVS - in the lynch that deaded her. I know I need convincing as far as SVS goes, but when I was convinced I was convinced and came in as fast and as hard as I could to say so.

*If* I were a baddie - why wouldn't I have just voted Kate then?
*If* I were a baddie - wouldn't I be more worried about Kate talking about Elo? Wouldn't I have been more dead set against letting my other teammate go down? Again - I could have just voted Kate, then Kate would have been deaded and it would have been a thorn out of my baddie back. I know - this is WIFOM, but really - most of you have played lots of games with me. Does that sort of behavior make sense if I was bad?

I'm a civ here. I've been a sloppy playing civ, but I'm a civ. None of the few things I've managed to do make sense if I were bad.

If there is a point you can pin at where your gut kicked in, that would help me lots.

MM...I thought the same thing when I read that.

But, despite the fact that he's not confirmed in my book, he's been making a lot of sense this game. Outside of the fear mongering bit about dying on a night when no kill happens, I've agreed with him in general more than I've not. Which, as I said earlier, is somewhat surprising to me as I'm more used to INH's zany side.

Kate - I remember you mentioning that you wanted to take a look at elo during the last night phase and then after today's vote trading you were pretty convinced she is bad. Can you give me anything else besides what you think is an erroneous vote for you that makes you so sure she is bad? Also - why was her vote more bad than the votes from DH and INH toward you?
Well it was also her sudden decision to vote me after my mention of rereading her as a suspect. Also, I think she jumped on the idea of voting me to keep from having a lynch of svs occur.

I get that part Kate - I guess what I'm asking is what made you initially think you should re-read her as a suspect? Elo is hard for me to read because she's always a lower keyed player. She conned me in Harry Potter (and her hubby too) but I've also been f reeked out about her quiet when she was civ as well. So yea. What was it you saw that made you think she was worth the re-read in the first place?

I get your reactions to her during this last day cycle.

Bea, thanks for the vote of confidence :D But I'm a shitty drinker. A couple of beers or glasses of wine, and my head starts to spin.

Not sure who to give the vote. Maybe I'll send it back to Bea.

I don't think INH is a confirmed civvie. I got the feeling a few times that INH and SVS were trying to distance themselves, so I'm sorry, but I'm not going to give you my trust just because you say so. I need to look back and see what you said. Also, Bea, if you're used to INH playing differently, shouldn't that set off the alarm bells?

What's with the Elo-Kate battle?

I find it interesting that no one is considering the forced votes. Maybe Kate's voters were on that list, and the way Kate is going so strongly after Elo is weird. Not sure who I trust more between those two.
I won't be here until tomorrow so I'm just giving Bea my vote, because even though she didn't voice much suspicions, I find her interactions here to be genuine.

Oh really - I figured you were a shitty drinker. ;) I know my competition. Like I said - if it were a *real* drinking contest, the only one alive that could give me a near run for my money would be Kate. And I'm pretty sure I'd smoke her too IRL. The host, he's the one who I'd be interested in seeing which one of us falls first. :p (I tried that game with SVS too - she matches up pretty even with me as far as flat out drinking goes.)

But I put my vote where I thought the prize would most likely be given to a civ. Actual drinking ability had little to do with my vote. ;)

that said - we should totally get blitzed together sometime! It'd be fun!!! (before I re-read this it said "I'd be fun" :D

And really - the forced voters was something I was thinking of as well but I'm not sure I'm seeing evidence of any vote being forced? I would think that would be a stronger presence in the game?

Do you think 2 of 3 of Kate's voters were forced?

Where would you look in the past votes where the vote might be forced?

I said this days ago, and will say it again. What i did on Day One, i would have done bad or good. The poll said to pay tribute to someone, i did, i said he was smart. I also thought it likely he was a civ. And I like him and wanted him to have a prize. I find it cynical in the extreme (and kind of insulting) that anyone thinks i would use him for cred, even if he is mature enough (which i think he is, he hosted before he played and had now hosted twice) to play. It is not in my personality.
First of all, the logic of "I would have to be a moron to kill TH" does not work, because I've seen many baddies do that and say what you just did, hoping it would look too obvious. I'm not saying this makes you a baddie, but it proves nothing.

But what does make you look even worse in my eyes is the underlined sentence. I find baddies tend to use the "I would do this whether good or bad" line when they feel they are being suspected for something they don't think is right. It's like they're thinking that if they want to call me a baddie, at least do it on something that is really what I do as a baddie, not on this.
This last thing, added to you being absolutely no help in trying to find baddies makes me strongly believe llama and TH were right about you. I really didn't want to see it, but you're doing nothing to change my mind, so I'm going to be voting for you. I just wish I'd done that sooner so at least one of them would be alive now.
re: the first bolded part, I've seen svs do this when accused and she was every alignment. Like I said before, for me that was the weakest part of the case.

re the second bolded part, This is the bit I think is the most telling. I am struggling to see a civ svs that isn't bringing some sort of suspicion to the table that isn't just defending and thinking her loudest accusers are bad.

I know you would have voted for Andrew day 1 no matter what your alignment is. I don't think at all you would have used him to give yourself cred. That was the part of the case I have the least amount of agreement with and the part of it that gave me the most doubts about llama's intentions.

That said, TH brought up some astute points the night he was killed.

If we don't vote for you, where would you suggest looking today?

Kate's got a few votes already and I'm not sure how I feel about those. What do you think about Kate or her voters?

Re: Willow [Day 3]

RIP TH - I had good feels about you. :( Looks like I was right about that.

FZ and Sorsha - I'm sorry I'm not as active. I prolly shouldn't have signed up for this game tbh. I'm so used to playing long games, I've lost my speed game skills I think. Part of how I go about things is trying to figure out who I feel good about and going from there.

At the moment, I'm thinking TH was right and SVS is our best place to focus on this next lynch. I doubt that both he and llama would have worked *that* hard, to their deaths so to speak, had they not believed they were on to something. I know I take an unusual amount of convincing to accept that SVS could be bad, but I think that is the case here.

I'd hoped to have heard more from Kate this game than I have been. I don't think I've ever seen her so quiet, I'd been chalking it up to being busy like I am, but it is as easy for the mafia to be busy as it is civs.

Ironicly INH has been making a lot of sense to me this game. I find it weird that I find myself agreeing with him because I tend to see his zany side more often. I like this new side of him. :)

FZ - this game is different for me than the one we just played because not only is it faster, but I am not getting the info I was getting in the Hunger Games game this time around. It's easier to sound confident when you're getting good intel. It's a lot harder for me to form suspicions flying blind and being able to see multiple reasons for everything.

Turnip Head wrote:DH seems to be playing with a clear head. I don't have a read on him but I appreciate how he's approaching the game so far. I like INH's perspective in the game as well and I think he's working towards a civ victory.

I haven't played much with Marshy. I don't think she has been manipulative at all, and I've found her perspective to be genuine.

The players I'm watching the closest are (in order) SVS, Kate, Elohcin, Sorsha, Andrew. Sorry for putting the 8 year old on that list but I'm not giving him a free pass, and if placed on a team with SVS and Kate they would be truly dangerous, so I wish we could get more of his perspective. Elo in particular I'm worried about conning me. She is so nice and always seems genuine to me, but I know she's learned a thing or two about being a baddie :D They can't all be bad but they're the ones I'm watching the closest right now.

I'm also not sure about bea but I hope she's civvie and so far I'm thinking she is. Most of her participation so far has come when she's been Irish lol.

My thoughts on other players are extremely fluid, and I get a better grasp on players the more I talk with them and not just about them.
Fair point TH, I'm trying a bit more. Between the holiday, a VERY long weekend and the speed game time frame, I'm having a rough time wrapping my head around this one. I used to be really good at speed games but this is the second one I've played in in like 5 years - the pacing the reading is different. That *and* coming off the WAY long time frame of the k-site game, I'm just a bit wonkajeeby.

I do see what you are saying about SVS not bringing suspicions to the table. I have a rough time with her though in general. She is (even more than my hubby) my mafia blind spot. I always want her to be civ so much, that often when she's bad, I'm the last person to see it. :(

I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary from Sorsha to make make think she might be bad.

And my guests just showed up so I'm afraid it's time for me to go for a bit.

BBL.

RIP Llama. :(
FZ. wrote:Wow, I'm really sorry llama. I feel even worse for missing the vote :(
This sucks.
SVS, you just said you thought you knew what TH was, not llama, if I'm not mistaken, and you said that out of the two you trusted TH more. So why are you suddenly saying that's what you thought?

But what happened. SVS got three votes before llama did. Why would she survive and not him?

I need to go to sleep

Re: Willow [Day 2]

And I'm caught up. That goes much faster when one has their full mental capabilities.

I get that seemed weird things to pull fz, I was trying to comment as I was reading along, but I was fail. I miss the k-site multi-quote. It's ever so handy when catching up.

Reading back through, it does kinda seem like there was a last minute push to save SVS, I'm just not sure what to make of it. I can see a scenario where svs is bad and her team tried to save her. I can also see a scenario where SVS is good, and the "save" is a nice frame for today's vote. Then there's two civs down with little effort.

Because I like logic, and "Andrew would be uncomfortable killing Kate, therefore Andrew is civvie" does not follow.
I have an 8 year old. I'd never let him play (not being judgmental), but having to deal with all the lies and deceiving is something I wouldn't want him to do, even without his mother playing the game. It's too much pressure in my opinion. So if I were hosting, I can definitely see myself making him a civ.

kate is am amazing mom. Andrew is so amazingly mature for his age - he hosted all of us before he played with us.

And also - I do believe when epi said it was random, it was random.

I actually agree with this.

I honestly think Andrew is civ because I think he'd be more than comfy with pulling the trigger on his mom if she earned it. And I think he'd have the best idea of all of us to know if she earned it. :D

why? In my reading - late as it is - I'm not yet seeing it - I may redadct is as I go along. But at this point in the thread? Really you're that sure she's bad? Cuz I'm not at this point in my read though. I'm only seeing that she made your opinons a little more questionable.

I edited it out, to be clear. I said i would do so.
You've set a dangerous precedent. Now we will all be curious to see which substitutions you will make in your edits. I fear you may have unleashed a monster.

Fortunately for you, I am always fastidiously clean-tongued.
I'm way behind and I'm sure missing LOTS OF THINGS - but in my starting of my catsup.

This raises my eye. Why would you be worried about the dangerous precedent set from making a curse word not a curse word?

I get the basic idea of not wanting to give anyone access to edit any of my posts. But if I slip up and drop the eff bomb - I have NO PROBLEM with svs or YOU or epi coming in and fixing my post because it's a fix I would want to have happen. family friendly thread is family friendly . It looks at it EXACTLY like all the times the mods on this site helped me out when I effed up the sock game.

Intention means everything.

Why would you think SVS would make those edits without the purest of reasons

Tell me what I'm missing.

Re: Willow [Prologue]

I'm gonna be honest here. I haven't read any bit of today's info. I had to work till 3 am sat. night, go to chruch with the hubbies fam at 8 am. We had to go to dinner with the fam after church and Ieft my phone at work. I've just *now* woken up from the 3 hours of sleep I have had since yes4terday afternoon.

I'm voting myself because I don't know what's going on and I don't feel fair throwing on a vote to anyone without having read the cases.
