Also, re Abigail. I have seen her be sure she was right about a person, from gut. She NEVER to the best of my knowledge tries to fakeclaim in that situation; she puts on a very confident face and clearly believes it, but she doesn't say she has info. I know this since I am a person she thinks is bad alot , and she's never done that to me. I've only ever seen her claim when she had info. So if she's saying it, and Dizzys play backs it up to my mind, I'm gonna trust her.

I decided to go back and see who leetic softballed, if anyone, in his demands for GTH reads.

So not sure what, if anything, any of this means, but it's 10 minutes I'll never get back. But he did try and start active discussion on every other player except Nanook and Epignosis, so

Something to keep in mind, I guess, if leetic flips bad as I think he will. But it could also be a nothing burger heh.

I had pretty much the exact same thought as Delta. Sussing Abi for these reasons is something most people only do if the read is real, and I think that includes pyxxy.

I think not self pressing in a vacuum is NAI. I think Jack’s reasoning for being hesitant to do it is towny.

I do not want Jack dead today. I don’t have any really confident scumreads and LC is more of a guess.

My immediate PoE is LC, pyxxy, and Roxy. A layer out from that would be Jack and Nanook. Pyxxy had a couple towny moments like thinking Nanook slipped but I don’t think there’s enough reason to remove him from the PoE compared to others.

This is probably my last pop in before EoD. I’m okay with my vote where it is, I’m not feeling Jack being scum now and I want to assume it’s an easier game unless it’s shown that it’s a hard game. Jack has given me more reasons to think he’s town than LC has. Scum could go in and say “yeah I don’t believe the check”, but I don’t really think that’s what happened.

Jack I thought was almost too scummy to be scum. His stood out a lot by calling Leetic town while LC’s was more blendy and fit in with what was expected of a townie.

I played one game with LC in 2020 and he was caught as scum d2. Is he usually caught by people who know him well?

I think Jacks reaction looks worse than LCs, he's being very cautious around it, although Jack bolsters LC a bit in his ISO as well. I know I must have seen bad Jack, but i don't recall offhand when.

I have seen tons of LC, though, and he has a certain tone when he's bad, or he used to have. I'm not seeing it at all, but he didn't have it in the Pirate sock game either, so I'm not going to rely on meta here.

How do you read Roxy apart from that?

It might actually be scummy for Roxy even if it's not meant as just giving up. I see Roxy as a sort of unfiltered honest player, like Kate. I think town Roxy would usually have more of a reaction and even if she were done with engaging with sus she'd just say she were done instead of saying she's bad.

No, and it's hard for me to put it into words. Some of it is that it feels more disjoint and focused on the world where Abi's town and it's fake than, say, you or Epi's investigating.

I don't feel strongly about it. I felt more strongly about it last night but when I was away from the thread I kept thinking about LC flipping town and getting bad feelings. I'll be gone all day today including EoD, but with what I have I'll look at pyxxy and Roxy since I feel like I may have townread those two too easily without reevaluating.

I CC'd to try to get Abigail to back down. I did not want the actual cop (if one exists) to CC. The biggest problem with town gambits where they fakeclaim cop is that they will often cause PRs to be outed, and since we already lost two we do not want that to happen

With two of Sean's strong townreads basically confirmed town, it wouldn't make sense for scum to NK him over leetic if he had bad reads. I feel fairly confident just based on this that Epi is town as well, and there's likely at least one wolf in the PoE group of SVS, me, pyxxy, Wilgy, and LC.

I wish leetic were mafia lol. Having that many posts and calling out people so often would have been great spew.

I'm going to reread the play around the d2 check before I come back, but I'm looking for people who tried to look good off leetic's town flip. The people who put a lot of thought into tunneling him are probably town.

Wow. I didn't expect it to be rescinded, but having the check out there might have had some benefit. Abi and leetic are both town almost for sure.

Getting people to engage is important, and asking them questions both helps my read on them and helps me get other perspectives to not have tunnel vision. It is true though that in a particularly active game (which this is not) you will always find scum in the lowposters

You said you broke your single game post count, so do you normally play this role as a thread instigator or is this unusual?

I don't think it's necessarily softballing to look out for. If leetic has one or more slanking partners I could see him trying to get them in the game by asking them a lot of questions.

As I said earlier, if Abigail is town (which I think is most likely, there is no reason for scum to make this gambit here) then wolves usually allow town to eat themselves. That would match up with pyxxy's behavior… and yours.

I am a little shaky on you after EOD, which is why I've pressed on you a little about it & prior to the redcheck I had said I was slightly worried about potentially being pocketed by leetic which is why I opened as I did. Still a few ?s when it comes to Nanook/Jack, but less so since Abi's talked about Nanook feeling as he usually does & I'm curious about the pyxxy EOD votes from Jack & LC

Outside of that, I do feel like I have more solidified townreads than I do actual scumreads, which feels like a weird reversal of my game since I tend to try find scum first? But I think Roxy/SVS are both solidly town irrespective of what leetic flips. Abi is almost always town regardless & I agree on Epi being likely town based on my own understanding of how he plays wolf, even if it was only 1 game :wowee:

Yeah, I agree on all those townreads. My scumlean on Jack is stronger than my one on Nanook, I feel like Nanook's few posts today are decent for tiny reasons like calling the redcheck based.

How are you feeling about those you mentioned at EOD1?

A lot better about Epi than I did at EoD1, I did some meta comparison and I think his approach to me/Dizzy is fundamentally different from him going after hard targets as scum in the game we wolfed together. Below null on Wilgy since despite not having any reads he made the snap read that a leetic post was scummy. I thought it was fine in a vacuum, but if leetic is scum I'm concerned about it. I still sus Nanook for similar reasons of his posts seeming more concerned with how the thread sees him, and I sus Jack for similar reasons.

It's mainly introductions, I wanted to be around for most people getting here so I could get stuck into things but since things are quiet I'm struggling a little & I didnt really want to miss this and have all of my reads being from backreading off the word go.

I'm getting through leetic spew and so far I feel quite confident Roxy is town. I think the interaction between leetic/Roxy isn't distancing 99% of the time.
