the worst part is that nobody pushing on me (save gira) has actually presented reasoning to scumread me and is just defaulting to the: "everyone else looks townier" reasoning, which is reasoning that i hate being on the receiving end of because it is shallow and impossible to refute. it's also reasoning that mafia tend to coast off of a lot when they want to push on a villager without having a good reason

no i decided gira was town yesterday then i thought that only W/W worlds made sense with gira today then i reconsidered that him killing Nook, who townread him and him only, would make literally no sense so i read his posts in a different light and am back to him being a solid townread

but where did the "solid townread" come from? what does it mean to view his posts in a "different light"? if you've explained your read on him in more detail somewhere else then feel free to link it to me, but i feel like this post tells me nothing

as harsh as i was being toward gira's read on me last night, at least he actually posted reasoning instead of just shrugging his shoulders and calling me mafia because it's the easy thing to do like every other player in this game

i think there's a solid 50-60% chance that today ends with me dying and us losing and my intuition tells me that the wolves are probably playing in a way to try to push that into happening

there was a period of a few months where esooa was reading me accurately in almost every game we played. she lost the streak over the last few months and has misread me a few times, but she also correctly identified that i was a wolf in one of the recent games we played and (if she's town) correctly read me in this game, so i would say her read on me is >rand accurate

it's worth keeping in mind that i scumread falcon before almost anyone else did, and i was one of the main voices actively concentrating suspicion against him throughout the game. obviously i was wrong, but my vote on falcon toward the EOD is perfectly consistent with the thoughts that i had been speaking about him for the entirety of the game

i can go into more detail about why i thought that you/dolby looked partnered together if you actually care, but it seems that you don't regardless of your alignment

not to toot my own horn, but ive been posting thoughtful and nuanced reads throughout the entirety of this game and the only reason my reads aren't more developed is specifically because the day ended ~24 hours early twice in a row and cut into my natural solving process. if youre town then i expect you to see at least glimpses of that, and i actually think that you did considering that you didn't really start scumreading me until a couple of dayphases ago. as such, you writing off my reads as "shallow garbage" feels to me like an attempt to write off all the scumhunting i've done in this game so that you don't need to evaluate it or provide more specific reasoning

oh and just to clear things up, i think that gira was actually right that it was illogical for me to believe that he and dolby worked as a team. i looked over the interactions between gira and dolby and thought that they were compatible (and no, i didn't find think his point about not voting for dolby on d2 was a compelling reason to dissociate the two of them), but i didn't look at the interactions on alison's side and failed to factor in that they looked pretty clearly unaligned with each other

this was the first post i thought was actually pretty towny from gira because the logic was actually correct, but i guess it'd be pretty easy to make this post from the POV of a wolf that knows he is being incorrectly paired with another player for bad reasons

i see what you're getting at - i think that alexa is generally very protective of how people are perceiving her in the thread as a wolf, and she probably wouldn't want her partners to push on her/bus her unless there was a specific strategy behind it (and to my memory, drwilgy's push on alexa didn't really feel "strategic" in any sense as much as it felt like he was picking a random name out of a hat)

i think part of the reason i'm struggling to get a comfortable solve is because d1/d2 of this game feel like they happened months ago - i didnt even remember that drwilgy pushed on alexa on d1 until you brought it up just now lol. i'm probably just going to need to re-read the game entirely even if it's going to suck
