Re: Radiohead Mafia [NIGHT 5]
a few thoughts about alison:
i was townreading alison because i didnt think she would clear so many people as mafia, but i just realized that if she was mafia, that would be her only option. it's not like she could claim guilty on town - and if she claimed roleblocked, it likely would not hold up to scrutiny
so while alison isn't town for clearing other players, it begs the question of why alison would choose to claim cop as mafia in the first place. if she wants to end-game as maf, it makes zero sense for her to claim a role that gradually eliminates the scummiest players from the POE pool while drawing more and more attention to herself when she doesn't die
i will hear out alison paranoia but i do not think it's likely in the slightest based on the information we have

Re: Radiohead Mafia [NIGHT 5]
definitely not mafia tier:
macdougall - i don't believe there are any mechanical reasons to townread mac, but i still do. i've considered the possibility that he's incredibly deep scum burying himself into the pocket of everyone here but i don't think that's the case
alison - i dont think alison would clear so many people as mafia and narrow down her POE so significantly. i had a working theory that she was maf who had inno'd one of her partners, but samu flipping maf (and alison aggressively pushing samu) makes that impossible
drwilgy - one of alison's innos
nanook - one of alison's innos
long con - one of alison's innos
juliets - along w/the fact that i believe samu wouldnt have slipped in the way he did if he was partnered with juliets, i simply do not think juliet's reaction to alison's fake scum-claim was made up. it was way too genuine and way too honest
tutuu - there's a mechanical reason (that i now forget) that made her locktown for me, but additionally, i dont think she would have brought so much attention to samu's slip if she was partnered with him
maf:
dya
- had a really good claim with a really good tone, but there are no mechanical reasons to clear them. i can only give so much credit for having a good tone when this g game is full of pseudo-clears
dyslexicon
- has openly done nothing, i was cutting them slack for this initially because i thought they would be trying harder as scum, but i am no longer giving towncred for that. if dys wants to be townread then he'll have to towntell like the rest of us
oddmerta - i thought he was town because of the herm claim, but i could see a reality where it was faked. it's weird that odd considered herm locktown from his point of view, but that he put up absolutely zero fight into swaying the vote from herm. odd cleared herm in a very performative way, but he failed to protect him from being voted at any point. in addition to the fact that oddmerta's reads have been consistently ...really bad (no offense), it's not hard to see them as scum
poison chan
- i've intuitively trusted poision chan throughout this game but i don't believe there are any mechanical reasons to do so. i do townread them off of their tone, but we're in a position where tone isn't good enough to be townread.
ted
- their argument for being locktown is pretty good, so i kind of tr him above the other people on this list, but i can't mechanically clear him like i can the others
while i think the maf is in this bottom 5, i would lean on it being specifically between oddmerta and dyslexicon
i am paranoid about mac being deepscum and about there being a godfather but neither of those fears hold up to scrutiny right now

Re: Radiohead Mafia [DAY 5]
ted's argument for being town is decent, but it's not full-proof. whether he admits it or not, having a decent argument for being clear is not the same thing as being clear. if he has the ability to mechanically clear himself and lock himself out of the POE permanently, then of course he should use it! i don't know what the "risks" are but it's hard to imagine they would outweigh the benefit of him being locktown for the rest of the game

as theorized earlier in the thread, it is possible that one of JPIC's partners chose to use their roleblock on JPIC so that he could be shown as visiting tutuu without having tutuu be post capped. remember that at the time, JPIC was still playing the role of the cop, and he wanted to make his claim look realtedxtr wrote: ↑Sat Sep 12, 2020 3:25 am Why I think Wilgy gets yeeted
1) His N1 action is info that was already stated in thread. If the watch is truly random, then the possibility of him peeking the exact same stuff that was said in thread is exactly 5%. I'm willing to take chances on a 5% coincidence being actually a scum.
2) His result on jpic.
What do we know? Mafia has a roleblocker (uhhh not really sure as to whether it's just a full roleblocker or has something else on top of the roleblocker). If Wilgy did indeed track jpic to tutuu, then why did she not get post-capped?
Juliets was not on tutuu. With the knowledge that we have, then jpic's action should've went through on tutuu. Jpic couldn't have been roleblocked, because he was mafia.
So Wilgy lied about jpic's visit. This isn't really set in stone because maybe 3p shenanigans and the obvious question of "why would you lie about your scum partner anyway". I think that's complete wifom and what matters is that I've proven that the possibility of tutuu not being post capped here are only due to roleblocking, which couldn't have occurred because jpic's mafia.
Or...juliet's action being on tutuu, which wasn't the case.
so i'm not sure that i buy that drwilgy lied about the visit, regardless of what his alignment is. but i do consider wilgy having the visit to be non-alignmnt indicative

Re: Radiohead Mafia [DAY 5]
the strongest argument for wilgy being town is the fact that his album is confirmed to be on an album that a mafia has already flipped from, and the trends are indicating that there's only one mafia per album
but this is a big assumption to make - and i could easily see wilgy being 3p. i am probably going to vote in him and samusamu today
i wont lie, ive been tinfoiling a lot about a DeepScum in alison/mac and i'm in the process of figuring out if that kind of paranoia will hold up to any scrutiny

Re: Radiohead Mafia [NIGHT 4]
gonna do a trustfall:
alison: cop claim, has hardpushed on the mafia and given us two clears. only thing mildly confusing is that she's allowed to claim at all while being such a powerful role
tonystarkprime: one of alison's innos
drwilgy: confirmed to be on an album with an already flipped scum
dyachei: incredibly genuine/sincere claim - has towntold tonally throughout the game
dyslexicon: is slanking so much that it might not be their scum game
juliets: great interactions with nutella, incredibly towny reaction to alison's joke scum claim
long con: good tone?
macdougall: very low scum equity with all of the flipped mafia, good tone/scumhunting
nanook: one of the cop's innos
oddmerta: nearly confirmed to have been notified by one of herm's albums checks, which makes him near-confirmed town
poison chan: incredibly towny tone
samusamu: very pure tone in the first 2 days
tedxtr: claims to be able to clear himself, decent level of assertiveness
tutuu: consistently manic and towny energy, early fos on me had a lot of conviction, decent interactions with the flipped maf
my POE looks something like:
alison
nanook
tsp
mac
oddmerta
juliets
dya
poison
tutuu
long con
tedxtr
samusamu
dyslexicon
drwilgy
the first 6 names on this list are people that i have an extremely hard time ever seeing myself voting. if there's a maf in those 6 names, we're probably in trouble. i have considered theories like "alison is mafia with one of her innos and is carrying them to endgame" or "mac is scum leading us into mischops because he needs town to be killed to win", but i'm still going to fall back on occams razor
what i would really like to do is solidify those bottom 8 names a bit more confidently

Re: Radiohead Mafia [DAY 4]
the thought has occurred to me that he's mafia with herm and he knows that the game is a sinking ship so he's just f*cking aroundMacDougall wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 8:17 pm How can Oddmerta, a townie, think that voting for one of Alison's clears is ever a reasonable thing to be doing? It makes no sense whatsoever. If Nanook is mafia he is literally only ever mafia with Alison. "Oh he's Godfather" is so wifom that it cannot even factor in. Oddmerta is super likely to just be throwing mafia with this vote.

I heard Odd and Ted.
Bah. Maybe I'll just track Odd, because he seems to be a topic, and then people who has a better grasp on the thread can actually choose.
Does that sound ok?

Re: Radiohead Mafia [DAY 4]
i did think it was alignment indicative, but i didn't think it made herm locktown. oddmerta considering it to mean that herm is lock town and then making zero attempts to sway the votes bothers me quite a bit regardless of what herm flipsAlison wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 8:12 pmtbf you thought it was AI at first too so 1) isn't necessarily the casestaypositivefriend wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 8:09 pm i have a similar concern about oddmerta if herm flips town. oddmerta has claimed that herm is "lock town" town from his POV, because he got notified when herm investigated his album. this is wrong on multiple levels:
1. why does oddmerta consider herm locktown when getting informed of an investigation by herm is non-alignment indicative?
2. if oddmerta does consider herm locktown, why is he not fighting in the slightest to change the votes? why has he lazily let the herm chop happen?
2) is why oddmerta is scum (well, other than the fact that the non-checked POE is shrinking by the day), and why he's in the tracker/cop POE.
