Re: Fallout 2: A Post-Nuclear Mafia Game [Day 5]

1) Mac has a role cop.

2) Vault City needs to get rid of Slaver to win.

3) Mac almost certainly role copped me.

4) If he copped me Slaver he would simply use his town rolecop safe claim and say he copped me as Slaver for a free kill to an enemy + towncred.

People were wondering why Vault City has not killed me since I'm claimed Elridge and this is why.

Luke

You command the Brotherhood outpost located at the NCR capital city. You're regarded with some suspicion by the locals who don't understand the importance of the Brotherhood mission.

You're a 2-shot messenger. One of your chief duties is to keep the Brotherhood command to the south appraised of NCR social and technological development. Twice during the game during any separate night phases, you may craft a personal message to be sent to a player you select through the host. The message can be anything.

Separately, you are a 1-shot faction spy. You keep a close eye on the NCR Rangers and their conflict with the Slavers to aid in your own mission. Once during the game during any night phase, you may select a player. You will be told whether or not that player has ever targeted the Slaver during any previous night phase.
Yeah, that's his claim.

@ChopChop Please have the maturity to understand that nobody in the entire fucking game understands your case. Nobody. Your biggest advocate is Martin and even he doesn't fully understand what you mean by signalling or fake cases (he independently suspects TSP, but for completely different reasons - TSP's vote switch to Rej). Your constant complaining about how Tony is sooooooo obvious and soooooo outed is not helping anyone else understand your case and is actively hurtful to thread health. It is a big part of why I voted you yesterday (apart from thinking you're just scum). Now I am moving more towards you being town and so I am asking you, for the third time this day phase, to stop this shit and play like a normal human being.

I'm not settled though as I have more investigation to do.
Why does TSP vote Rej for shitty reasons if he's wolf and Chop is town? Doesn't he just go "nah I'm on Chop"? If Chop goes through he gets rid of the person scumreading him the most and nobody's gonna blame him for voting Chop - if Rej goes through, Rej flips town and Tony shrugs his shoulders and goes "see? I told you Chop was a better exe" - and from there he has a better position to convince people that Chop was saved and should be voted.
I'm not sure about that. Chop Chop is BoS if town, and as we (or I) figured out earlier, anyone on that wagon would have been sus because only scum factions need to kill him. Heck, maybe some of us such as me might've been town-spewed if Chop Chop was indeed chopped.

The Enclave could have also formulated a plan for D3, but that got cut off with the Nanook + Doom conflict.

Who would look really scummy for chopping a BoS? Tunneling and pushing them for three days straight. Nowadays Tony seems to just mention it occasionally as if its a significant sign of his contribution to the game state.
Chop was considered outed wolf by like, most people in the game (except a couple of players like Urist and Mac). If he flipped town, nobody looks scummy. They just shrug and go "yeah, Chop was scummy as fuck, what do you want from me". Even if Chop is town, I'm unconvinced there was any concerted effort to avoid the bad optics of being on his wagon - at least not on Day 2. Day 3 is more interesting, since the counterwagon is a wolf, so there's a lot more to read into and the optics are far worse.

Re: Fallout 2: A Post-Nuclear Mafia Game [Day 4]

We know DOOM hates playing scum and doesn't think she's too good at it - she's said as much before the game began. We also know that when Nook pressured DOOM with a claimed red check on her, her response was to put her nose up in the air, act as though she was too imperious to pay attention to the game, and promptly gallop away into the sunset. We also know that when Made subbed into the game, he was very very cagey about making a claim and seemed to be trying to stall for time while he chats to his scum mates in BTSC to come up with a plan.

Taken as a cohesive whole, these behaviors indicate that Urist and DOOM/Made were not engaging in planned scum theater together. If they did not engage in planned scum theater together then Urist is not scum with DOOM/Made. Hence Urist is probably not enclave.

I think Urist is not enclave with Made because he pushed DOOM into confirming a shitty claim after Nook said he had mech evidence against it. Urist seemed to be trying to pressure DOOM into confirming the Westin soft, but we know that Made ended up claiming Zeke instead. If they were enclave together, this is an elaborate theater where they pretend to not be on the same page about what claim Made is going to make. I don't think DOOM is one for elaborate theaters as scum, so I think Urist is probably not enclave.

Well, the 2nd point I can understand, but honestly the Enclave is a big faction. There's already 4 dead Wastelander civvies, and possibly more alive. Which implies there may be at least 3 more Enclave. They have multiple players each with self-conscious/survival interests competing with each other as the Enclave inherently can't afford to lose its members unless it benefited them.

What about the first one?
I don't understand what you mean by Enclave members competing. They're on the same team - they have the same win condition. They'll be working together.

Therefore they had to know Made would flip enclave eventually and the wagon war with Chop would be scrutinized.

This means anyone caught voting Chop would be under heavy suspicion of Chop was town. But if Chop flipped mafia then it would be a wash and you'd look a lot better.

Therefore enclave would be a lot more likely to vote Chop if Chop was enclave, paradoxically enough.

why

my first impression from the made flip was that chop looked town from it

if chop is scum he is enclave because of the message thing. if chop/made are enclave/enclave then enclave always votes to kill chop over made, since made was vanillaizer + ninja and that's way better than commuter, as well as chop in general just being more distrusted and having less influence on the thread than made.

so from that logic I think if chop is scum we'd expect to find enclave on the chop wagon. the problem is that chop's wagon is Made, nook, myself, TSP and KZA. Made had to vote the counterwagon so that doesn't tell us anything. It is mechanically impossible for me or KZA to be enclave. I highly doubt that TSP is enclave with Chop. Nook buried Made so I doubt Nook is enclave either.

so enclave isn't on the chop wagon and enclave would be on the chop wagon if chop was mafia.

Made wrote: Sun Mar 07, 2021 8:14 pm okay, so who was the alternative to Rej on D1 before the flash mob?
c4, but he got shot.
Jack was also a thing for a bit.
how for a bit are we talking? Any chance it was a save?
don't think so

jack was already off the table by EOD, it was c4, BK or rej, from my remembrance

Sloonei wrote: Sun Mar 07, 2021 3:49 am Although I should ask @Alison why it was the optimal play to shoot c4 on Day 1?
because I thought he was a wolf and everyone in the thread thought he was a wolf so I shot him to take him out of the POE. I have to use my daykill asap because I could be nightkilled n1 given my position on d1

Also i have asked chop to explain his signalling tinfoil 3 times now and he's dodged the question so im just assuming he's making it up
