It might be the tone but I read it as agenda-y. I don't know if they share a history, this is a weird claim to make unless you've played a lot of games with him. If he plays this way at all times, then it advantages both of his alignments equally. Creating another way of playing would make it obvious as to what alignment he is, because if he plays one way when he's an alignment, then anything that deviates from that is an obvious indicator as to him being another alignment.

And judging by my convos with Nanook, he doesn't recommend the try hardy style that he had in champs and he seems to be posting a lot more like this. I might need a background check on them two.

I don’t recommend high volume posting the way I was in champs. I also threw out A LOT of low confidence reads and pretended they weren’t low confidence reads. I typically don’t do that often as town, I think it’s counterproductive and unhealthy for the game.

Don’t conflate that with effort.

If I had to speculate I’d say toad is more likely targeting people as some sort of protection. Either they can’t vote for the toad, or they die instead of the toad, or something along those lines. Would fit with flavor too IIRC.

If they’re just a straight up cult that ends the game then idk how we could reasonably expect to win lol, and we just chalk the L up to bastard mechanics. So I’m pretty much discarding that notion.

I think they probably have enough to make informed kills especially with them being front runners. Game solving at night with 24 hours day phases and legacy reads work in town favors.

I hate this post. It's sensationalism. It doesn't feel like Nanook was necessarily relying on his own meta or even using it to aggressively defend himself or "absolves" himself like you're saying, it rather was just a remark about what he'd have done in that scenario.

It's not necessarily a bad look to share that kind of stuff, just like people that don't know him aren't just going to buy it. There is a lot of wifom in that kind of stuff. The way you paint his behavior as being an alternative to baddie hunting, and the in your face attitude is a much worse look imo.

So what's our possible roles here? it's been brought up but the most glaring issue is therealet shouldve been lynched but wasnt. I think it's also a common understanding that Sleazy Martinez was the one who had to pick who would be lynched. Discounting Secrets and Indy involvement I think these three scenarios sum up our situation at hand.

-One of TSP and Creature is Bender. therealet's role does not matter.
-therealet is Network President. Bender could still be in play and is the reason why LC was lynched.
-therealet is Network President and Bender didn't use his double vote, making sleazy martinez choose between Creature, LC, therealet, or TSP.

Personally I feel the first one is the most likely option followed by the second and then third.

Note: for the third option it'd make sense for Creature or TSP to be Sleazy Martinez and the other to be Bender.

I’m not shutting the read down as a whole, just the way the one post was phrased amounted to “you think you’re trying? WELL YOURE NOT.”

I’m not even saying don’t make a case based on effort level, just that when someone says “I’m trying” and the response is “no you aren’t,” that tends to lead to a toxic environment in my experience. So if you’re not going to take them at their word about their effort level, then it’s good imo to at least have the courtesy to illustrate how an effort level tell applies in this specific scenario. Im not even defending rej or saying your read is bad, just thay the framing should be different/better/more conducive to a healthy thread.

It’s also worth considering that effort level takes different forms for different people. My high effort looks a lot different than yours I suspect, for example.

Gets into some real unpleasant territory real fast (“I deserve X because I’ve done more work than Y!”), and unless rej has a specific effort tell, it’s not really alignment relevant. At this point, I’d clear nova as being town / sk. Probably sprit as well. Epi is locked town for me, we agree on a lot of stuff and he’s just bleeding town. Sabie, although probably a bad take, I feel like is thread spewed at this point. Especially if et is mafia. Dom town. Creature town. Rej town. Mac town.

If I were mafia with a president ET I almost certainly would’ve pushed a wagon to 3 instead of banking on him winning a tiebreaker he never should win.
