See, the issue I'm having is that you're trying to tell us all of the following:

1.) You thought your 2 gifts might somehow cause an interaction between the two players (chat, whatever),
2.) You thought about if people were likely to die or not when choosing who to gift,
3.) You gave something to JJJ.

Even if you say "well, I wanted at least one to go through, so I choose Gav", that doesn't mesh well with you thinking that your gift might create a chat or something like that... which oddly enough, it apparently did... VERY good guess...

I kind of hoped that JJJ would still be here. He's a fun guy. But in terms of a logical reason to give JJJ fruit, yeah, I don't know if I directly have a logical thought there. It's more JJJ + lucky makes total sense to me. It feels right.

Refer to the description in pink. Does it make sense to have that thought process, and arrive at Gavial as your final conclusion?

Ah, I guess I do have to say it then. My role is called Cupid. So seeing Cupid + passion fruit = I thought sex, but then I thought in terms of mafia roles, I thought like a mason or neighborizer chat that's protected or something, 'cause lucky. I assume pomegranate is like lovers chat, so I'm not entirely sure if I really want to use that one. Banana sounds like a lesser of passion fruit. Or maybe it is unprotected, but I don't know. If there is a soup kill in the game, I would be fine with going out that way. I mean I don't want to go, but at the same time, I don't have all the time needed to really be full on active this game. I pose as a distraction, but if we could prevent a mislynch that would be kind of cool.

But I don't necessarily expect everyone see it that way.

I don't have time to catch up. I have like 2 other things going on plus work going on in my life. I filled/joined this for numbers sake and cause Guillo is a cool guy. I also liked a lot of players in sign up list. Clearing up my role was mainly checking what each mention or quote said directed at me in my notifications. I didn't know the belzy/tangy situation because I wasn't caught up and because that was something that wasn't quoted or directly mentioned to me beyond what Act had asked me about.

Often when you see lots of votes on yourself like I do, you come to realize you might be a bigger distraction. Regardless of if I could somehow manage to turn the tide; my slot would still need to be directly resolved at some point in order for the game to move forward. That's a fact.

As for claiming, I could to get it out in the open for as many people to see. I'm assuming a soup kill wouldn't be able to touch me if it doesn't directly know it's exact name, but that's speculation. I don't want people to have to make a last minute decision on it.

I will preface this by saying pure meta reads don't tend to play a huge role in my views, outside perhaps with Sloonei. So I can assign some "expectations" to a mafia-aligned Tangrowth, but take the following with many grains of salt. I would hardly build a case on this basis:

Are you saying that Tangrowth looks happier and more confident as town? Because the "sense of immediate and undue urgency" seems to imply a level of anxiety about being scum. But whenyou say that you don't care much about meta, are you suggesting that Tangrowth could simply be trying a different play style? And, if so, how are you reading Tangrowth right now?

I think Gnome could be town. I have not really used this read before, but I think as she scum is more fluffy or lacks questions that go somewhere. Most games she will talk about irl regardless of alignment, but I think as town she has some posts that are less scummier than others if that makes sense...idk, I dislike the number of times gnome gets misyeeted as town for just being herself

You and Tang are dominating the thread, at least when it comes to post count.

It took me forever to catch up. And by doing so, I have noticed that:

Tang: post count leader, has got a high potential of busy bee-ing. I see a lack of actual reads and game solving. Rather agrees with someone when someone is being called town by another than question others himself much or frequently.

JJJ: you are the second post count leader. You got at least some involvement, which is a better look. You give a lot of easy townreads however, including on Tang, and I would appreciate you delibating that read because I don't see it.

Alison: is not even in the top 5 post count (but 6th), but feels most 'presense'. Gives a lot of reads, and sometimes also create overview by saying what the thread its general reads are. Very helpful, and I like Alison's early point on Tang.

I agree with you on on Alison's presence. It looks like we differ a little bit on Tangy though. I scum read her more on a feeling, while you called her out more on lack of reads and game solving.

Well she already admitted she can't read gnome, and it's true. So if act is town idk why she would base any of her reads on interactions around gnome.

I feel like it doesn't matter if she can't read gnome. Like all times when I suspected Dizzy or town read him, even if I didn't always have the best reads on him, I still felt like maybe I can read him this time around because maybe I have learned from x situation or have seen a new pattern. Just because of something said this game, I feel stronger about a read.

I'm null on Kito. I need read his ISO/hope he's town, since my scum meta on him is still that one game where was super dramatic for one moment, and I highly doubt he will do that here if he's scum.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she was the first. Her then Seanzie, I was on my lunch break at work and was able to read some of there interactions real time. In my mind, the behavior that you are doing is scummy. I can't get around that. I did initially think you were townie. What scares me is level that people are comfortable with you. I get it. Some people are comfortable with how I play too. The only thing I particularly remembered about you was that you post a lot, and that could be either alignment I feel like. So if you aren't scum, so you would be a straight null, you would still be in poe for me. But I need to read and focus on more people in this game to get a better understanding of things and hopefully get to a full reads list if I even have time for that.

What you are doing is harder to discern, but the thing is there. You can maybe mimic town, but I feel you are different. Does that make sense?

It's a small thing that I'm not the best at describing it. It's the fine line between town and mafia. I'm unsure if you could be mafia here. I'm more inclined to place you either as 3p/could be SK or town. I think I have accurately read 3p twice in as early as day 1 or 2 before, but I really do need to focus on other people and not just you. No offense. You are just the strongest read I have at the moment.

Hally claims it pretty regularly so you would be in competition there. It's not a gambit though. I specifically want information. So yes it is an agenda towards gaining that information to make an assessment.

I didn't say it was gambit. I said there's 2 main boxes scum and town gambits, when it comes to agendas. I guess the point I'm driving is that me personally, I look for scum. I look to build that world of connections that connect all the scum moving parts together. Whether that's the mafia team or whether that's a player who has scum motives, posts a lot and could very likely be 3p. In my mind, 3p is just as dangerous as mafia as they can blend in better and I feel like I might be one of the only ones who really looks for them from the start of the game. I look for any and all scum from the beginning. I'm not likely building the town circle unless I've likely have played with everyone in the game before. I feel better about looking for worlds. That's just me.

As for saying things that help other players relate to or read me better, that probably still isn't my best suit, especially when playing with new people.

I am fishing for something, lmao. That's why I asked about it. Town players can have an agenda, I don't understand why that's hard to perceive. I don't know most of the players in this game that well or at all. As such, I'd like to have some data by which to assess your behavior.

And I have read some of the conversations around when I have been posting in the thread, everything else I have not really read or had time to read.

Back in the day, lomo was who I would sometimes aspire to be in terms of town players. He had these incredible reads and scum fear killed him regularly at some point. But his play nowadays isn't quite what I remember of it. I'll have to read his posts. I don't know. Just coming into this site, I see the vote count more frequently than I usually see a vote count on PerC/MafiaCafe. So I'm calling it out. I'm like hey I don't know how long wagons have been there, but anything above 3 votes generally makes me suspicious of the wagon itself.

Let's sort our POE needs right away, as much as we can:

24 players. One mafia team. 3Ps possible -- I'll guess one as a baseline. Most likely arrangement if so (give or take some for extra 3Ps or if power role strength is considerable):

With no extra kills that leaves 6 mischops available, and with 5 mafia that means a POE of 11 is needed (so 13 town, 12 not named YOU). Make it a POE of 12 to be safer if you like. Basically our immediate goal should be to cut this roster in half with gorgeous town dates or to come as close as possible. This can be done, so let's do it.

If it is only 1 3p, I'll be kind of pissed as some implies more than 1. And specifically, choosing to say one mafia team and some for town and 3p feels like there should be more.
