If there was scum between nutella and quin we would have gotten them for sure because of my role. Just sayin'.

Yes.

I didn't have a lynch switch. I had a lynch stop. I used it when votes started coming in on me, because I wasn't sure if I'd have access to the thread down the stretch.

I felt good using it anyway because a civilian lynch is the most likely outcome of any Day 1. Furthermore, this means that all civilians can influence what happens at Night (as opposed to all civilians except one). After all, doesn't it just suck when you get an awesome role and then you get lynched Day 1?

It looks like this is coming down to nutella, epi, and quin. Nutella is still my preference but I'll take a look at quin's ISO.

@Marmot, I notice I'm a red firework for you, yet I can't remember you addressing me even once in this entire thread before the one post you called out a few pages ago. Was that one post really scummy enough to put me all the way down to the bottom of your confidence pile? I can understand a ping, but a RED FIREWORK? Are you unsatisfied with my response to your criticism? If your other red reads are founded on as little as mine seemingly is, we may have some problems going forward.

I'm keeping my vote on nutella. I think Epi is town. Can't see why a scum would act this way.

Nah, still very ok with it. It does not matter that she’s under fire. I made an ISO post on her with the intention of getting her under fire. But I’m always open for a townie to convince me otherwise if she actually is town, and I can’t glanced through all the posts in the thread but can’t say I’ve read through everything in detail.

I’m happy with my Nutella vote but plan on ISOing her posts since she’s come under fire just in case my mind is changed at all.

That's kind of my point? There's a lot of suspicion on nutella, but imo the only ones that have merit are the epi/JJJ interactions, which only are suspicious if JJJ/Eli are mafia, which I currently don't believe is the case, therefore I am not inclined to vote nutella.

Just explaining my thought process.

I think they’re both town as well, and only read that as suspicious in itself because the rest of her post history has enough red flags to make it so.

sinagog started RYM Mafia as the host of game #1. Colin was one of the earliest players though. You're correct that he took a long hiatus, and I believe he returned from that hiatus in game #35 (The Matrix, hosted by Mungbean). You were the rogue; it was the game where Equus posted that picture breakdown that became famous. Colin was her mafia teammate and was the only member of the team to be lynched.

That was something I also meant to bring up in that ISO. The two roles nutella asked for were wyvern rider and pegasus knight, the former a certain killing role and the latter a potential killing role.

I think the idea is more that they're lurking in general. Them not answering Epi's request is coincidental arising from the fact that they're not saying anything.

I looked at nutella's ISO because of that post and to me, it's characterized mostly but non-commitment. So far she's made two votes this one for Mac, which demonstrates my point nicely. Look at these phrases: "Can't decide how to feel," "Maybe it's excusable," but apparently it's enough for her to place a vote. Looks like she's trying to dip her toes in the water with a case that was already floating around, but trying not to commit too much in case it didn't pan out.

Which it obviously didn't. Here is the one strong stance nutella seems to take. And she backs down from it 2 hours and 2 posts later here. Again, very very noncommittal. And only because you don't think Mac would fake not knowing his alignment as scum? I can certainly imagine Mac doing that.

All this trepidation combined with that weird post on giving Tony shaman is enough for me to VOTE NUTELLA

It would be pretty #ballstothewall though, wouldn't it?

It's a role that the scum might want to snatch up so the town can't learn their secrets. (and while I'm writing this I see this has been answered already)

That being said, I wouldn't want to mislynch the Shaman if Tony is civ after all, but I'm really not feeling good about him.

Hey that's me and I resent the assumption He requested it, I didn't think for too long about it and I was still trying to wrap my head around all the roles so I didn't even consider that it was a role the scum might want to claim. I was more wary of Wilgy asking for a killing role. I think I must have associated info roles with townies wanting them, and I wanted to keep the draft going relatively quickly so I unfortunately didn't think about it for too long.

If I unwittingly gave such a powerful role to the mafia then it is my duty to repent by lynching the guy D1

I'm getting weird feelings about this post. Why are you already apologizing for giving the shaman role to scum when we have no idea what Tony's alignment is? It looks like you're backpedaling when there's no need to. Someone had to give the shaman role to someone blindly. Why are you trying to distance yourself from it, and do you really think it would be a good idea to lynch Tony knowing what we do about that role?

I also attribute that comment as a contribution to rdw's #ballstothewall mystique. Does he literally mean that a townie would accept his fate? No, it's just brash, overconfident showmanship. It's what he does.

This is a weak argument IMO, but I still want to know why gwilkers thinks that’s scum.

Quite the opposite, actually. I think that Kenway's post is so scummy on the surface level that it couldn't possibly be written by scum. First he's probably at least the third player to mistakenly think Sloonei is playing, which is something I would expect a scum to be more vigilant about, especially other people already did the same thing. I can imagine scum feigning ignorance of who is or isn't playing if they're the first to do it, but not after it's already been done a couple times. I also think I kinda took the part about staying on Mac's good side out-of-context in my head the first time I read this, cuz it's not coming across as scummy to me as it did the first time I read it, but lol anyway. Regardless, he's a strong town read for me.
