I'm sure you're right, but I also know you listed Kyle as a player you didn't realize was still playing, because he's hardly posted. Tbh, I should say the same about you. I've hardly heard a peep from you before today, but I guess your flying under the radar is your style. It is something I would expect of a baddie (Kyle possibly), but the timing of your resurgence does not indicate baddie to me.

I could see Kyle as a teammate of Bullzeye.
Yes you could say the same about me. But my suspicion of him is not asked on the lack of posting, it is based in a process of elimination.

No, not really. He said basically Kyle was not a goblin. I thought he was saying he trusted Kyle and I wanted to know why. His response was he doesn't trust Kyle, he just doesn't think he is a goblin. What I was saying was basically, then this does not change my list any. He had not given me any reason to trust Kyle, which is what I was looking for. You look back over all my poss and I doubt that the word agreeable is really one that can be used to describe them, lol.

Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Day 11

So yeah, this took me a while to read over her posts and while I did not find everything I taught I was finding at first, what I did see didn't change my mind. When it comes down to it, splints joined on Day 2. Smaug's first kill was not until Night 3. She has not taken a strong stance on anyone other than INH and some comments about Epi being Smaug. People are often prone to talk about their own role. For the most part her other comments were fairly noncommittal and agreeable. Even her vote posts were more like, well I don't feel strongly but I will go with *insertplayerhere* Add in the fact she also voted TH late in the lynch, which appears to be an attempted save, I think she is the one most likely to flip bad, be it Smaug or a goblin.

Process of elimination I am most willing to vote for Splints (who I feel most strongly about), Kyle, Metalmarsh, or Juliets. Juliets is the one I feel least strongly about.

I should say I feel confident that both CBK (my sister, so I know her pretty well) Rey, and Leamiteo were civs. So of the kills, I think we have lost far more civs than baddies so we may have as many as three misty goblins, but at least two I think. So you know what, I was wrong with what I just said. Smaug is probably the better bet to lynch right now. I will work on my case for who I think is Smaug and post it as soon as I finish...

Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Day 11

Ok, so here is where my brain is. Reading the role descriptions of the bard and Smaug it basically says that the bard holds the only weapon ever to penetrate Smaug's armor. This gives me the impression not that Smaug will be unlynchable, but that he will likely be unNKable. I can't imagine someone creating a role so powerful that it be both unlynchable and unNKable. I don't think Bllz is Smaug. I have an idea about who I think it might be but I need to research a little more before I post the case. Plus, to be frank, I think it is more imperative at this point that we get a goblin before their numbers are too strong for us and we lose to them.

In response to your second question. He is not saying Bullz is a wood elf. He is saying Bullz is Smaug. But Bullz made a comment that I thought said something about why did you think I was a wood elf, and why do you not think that anymore. I would like the answer to those questions too personally.

I don't at this time suspect Epi, Snow or BWT.

I do believe Splints is bad. Her posts of late have been very buddy buddy with people who seem to be more influential in the thread. Asking them, what do you think of so and so, what do you think of so and so. And she is pushing me as bad based basically on my low posting. It just seems opportunistic and seems to overlook the fact I voted to tie up FZ with k4J and I placed a late vote on TH as well, so I have voted out one of each of the Baddie teams at a time when my vote could have possibly saved them. Then consider the fact she voted for Snow rather than TH... Yeah I don't feel good about her at all.

Kyle... I didn't even realize he was playing. Does anyone have a read on Kyle?

Metalmarsh, I am leaning bad on metal marsh mostly based on a process of elimination at this point, but I certainly would not vote based solely upon that.

Looking at the votes the person I most suspected was INH, but that was only way back on Day 1 or so. And I am a little scared of the sheer number of people who have voted him so far too. I can see Epig's case on Kyle, but if he is right, it's not his team who kills tonight. I think I will take a chance and toss my vote on the INH pile too...

Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Day 9

I was pretty confident in CBK's civ alignment, and she is my sister so I am sad to see Smaug kill her.

I must explain my drive by vote. I was at work and had to cast my vote quickly so I unfortunately had no time to explain. When I saw the two people in serious contention I felt most confident voting for Turnip Head because his argument for me being on MP and FZ's team seemed like the biggest stretch I have heard in a while considering how my vote landed in FZ's lynch. He was too good a player to suggest that if he were good.

I apologize for not being as engaged. I was gone for a couple days and when I came back my store was a disaster. It is too much stress for not nearly enough pay if you ask me. Even now it is my day off and I am feeling anxious about what is going on in my store today because I don't have a competent manager to cover my days off. But I can't be expected to be there all day every day. Meh.

Boogs, I have thought you were bad for a long time. If Vomps flipped bad, then maybe you would have a case that I "swooped" in and tried to get you, but if I wasn't trying to save a Baddie this makes no sense. I feel very certain you are bad and you have been allowed to slide your way out too many times. My co manager fell and hurt herself on the job. Which means I am basically running the store by myself. I just got a co manager trainee two days ago, and my shift leader trainee is moved up to a fll fledged shift leader. But they are both still so new and unsure of themselves it still leaves me with a lot of work. I am on Day 8 of a nine day run right now. Re: The Hobbit Mafia: Day 4

Solet me play devil's advocate here...

You think she is the sole remaining member of the team we have been decimating. If you are correct, then why is it to our benefit to eliminate them? At least while there are two teams, there is the chance they could kill each other. Once we eliminate a team, doesn't that mean the nightly kill falls solely to one team? Or is Rusti doing it differently this game?

See the thing that is bothering me about this Robert and llama is that don't you two usually take that kind of view in past games? Leave the Indy so that he helps us elimate baddies and so forth. Make them use their kills on each other, etc. I am scratching my head as to why you are suddenly singing a different tune? If she is the last member of the team MP/FZ were on, which is entirely possible, I really don't know, and I am willing to lend you my vote for her if you can give me a good reason why it is to our benefit to kill off that team, why wouldn't we want to focus on the other team for a bit, not let them control the night kill every night... Am I missing something? If however, you think she is a member of the other team, I'm all for going after that team today. I personally think Boogs is a good place to start, buti am willing to look elsewhere if there is someone more suspicious.

TH, I did not voice any suspicion because I could not decide who I thought might be evil in the FZ vs. k4j death match. So I voted FZ in order to bring them into a tie. If you were making a case that I were the other team I could see why you were saying it (though you would be wrong inthat as well) but you are saying I was on a team with FZ and MP. It just does not make sense. And coming from you this surprises me to be frank.

Boogs... You keep talking about me and then suddenly drop me to vote Elo when people start disagreeing about the case against me. You do not look good to me right now my dear.

It would also be one-way distancing, as Daisy never mentions FZ (outside of talking to her in the above conversation)... until Daisy votes for her. Dun dun dun.

I get why you say it if you take MPs posts and vote alone, but if you consider the whole picture and how it unfolded, it does not hold water.
That part's interesting because FZ also had an unconventional reaction before her buddy got lynched. FZ was saying things like "MP better be a baddie", or things like:

What's also interesting to note about FZ and MP according to the chart is that their scores for each other, though they talked about each other a lot, only ended up being -5 and -2... so between the two of them it was not the truly hard distancing like Dom's score (-26) or k4j's (-23). Also odd to see the -31 for Vompatti. I hadn't picked up on them saying much about Vomps. Considering that neither of them have ANY mentions of other low-activity players, he does stand out. Were they trying to throw him under the bus?

What's also interesting is that they both seemed to talk about SD a fair bit, and said mostly negative things, but other than voting for her they kept it light - again, just going by INH's chart, I haven't yet looked to check what exactly they have said about Daisy.

I felt that way too before and after MP's lynch in particular. I think he was throwing her under the bus to distance himself. She's still on my radar for possibly getting my vote today. I also have to consider some last minute voters on the back and forth votes with FZ and K4J. I think there was some initial saving possibly from the other Goblin team for K4J possibly also. Will examine it when I get free time during work today and decide who I want to cast a vote for after that.
Wait, you guys are suggesting I am on the team MP and FZ were on? Why on earth would I tie the vote up for FZ, when I could have cast my vote for k4j and given her more of a shot of surviving the lynch? This is all based on the fact they both said negative things about me, which you are saying was distancing. It could just as easily be two people looking for what they perceive to be an easy target. And I guarantee you it is, because I am not on their team, in fact I am not bad at all. I am securely civ. this seems like a major stretch to me, especially from you TH.

He may have mentioned more than FZ, but I doubt he would have called them all out. Also, it is not all that surprising he would go after a teammate. He and I went after each other aggressively in AHS when we were on a Baddie team. He has "suspected" teammates on plenty of other occasions too.

If he were bad and painting her as bad, he would be the next person you'd be looking at. It is too far for a Baddie to stick their neck out for the benefit of just one lynched opponent. They have the advantage of BTSC but the disadvantage of numbers, they are not likely to sacrifice one of themselves for a small benefit.

I'd like to get back to having some fun please.
I feel like this has been the most overly-sensitive game ever. Every person I have cast suspicion on has taken it personally and acted insulted. Talk about conversation squashing, how about trying to make me feel like a heel for baddie-hunting? I have to suspect someone, don't I?

I have nevertheless been having fun, though. Thanks, Russti!
I apologize if I gave you that impression. I was neither taking it personally nor offended. :) and I did not mean to make you feel like a heel.

k4j, I feel the same way about INH as I did before. I do not recall if he has said much since the lynch, which I find interesting. I will need to look back over his posts.

Don't feel bad llama, if you all had not voted for him we would still have a Baddie role check in our midst. I didn't mean to make anyone feel bad. I just wanted to give some perspective so my response might make more sense.

I think one thing baddie-MP likes to do is toss out a suspicion, then intentionally waffle on it a few times before settling on something else. It makes it look like he's actively baddie hunting when really he's running himself around in a circle.

I don't really suspect MP for saying Llama has a good gut. I tend to think MP makes those sorts of generalizations all the time. Perhaps MP has seen Llama's gut instincts pay off moreso than not. Although I am questioning his intentions behind stating it.

Spacedaisy, what do you make of the fact that MP ended up quickly turning around and voting for you?
It did not strike me as suspicious actually. It struck me as normal MP.
I wonder if this is your way of trying to look better if MP comes out a civvie

For what it's worth I'm voting Daisy
I have the benefit (or disadvantage depending on the situation) of being with MP in person. His response to realizing he was likely going to die was one of extreme frustration. If I am frank this is why I gave this response. Empathy probably, more than anything else. I've been there and it sucks. Plus I genuinely don't suspect him at this point.
MP was a goner when I posted my support of him, he was ahead by like three votes with eight minutes to go. Why would I do that if he were my teammate and was clearly going to flip bad when I could just as easily say I suspect him? This argument makes no sense. I get why you say it if you take MPs posts and vote alone, but if you consider the whole picture and how it unfolded, it does not hold water.

Also, what I think everyone should keep in mind is that I am dating MP, and when he learned he was likely going to be lynched, I witnessed first hand his reaction. To say he was upset is an understatement. We both had a very stressful time recently and had stepped away from mafia to deal with our own stuff. I don't think any of you realize how close the site came to losing him completely. So he was finally getting excited to come back and play again, getting into it again. I wasn't sure that was going to happen. So when he saw he was getting lynched on Day 1 he was livid. I don't say any of this to condemn anyone for voting for him or whatever. He was a Baddie and had to go at some point. I just want to give you perspective on why I said what I said. I would never have said anything about his reaction in person in this thread, except now to explain that my defense of him was like i said, born mostly out of empathy to what he was feeling at that moment. At that point I had no reason to suspect him,it struck me as normal MP because I know him, he kind of swings between two courses of action. Careful consideration and reckless impetuousness. Mafia can bring out that second side that he exercises with less frequency in his day to day life. So no, tossing a vote on me was not too horribly surprising to me. In fact, I wondered if I would come back to find myself lynched, not him. I'm glad he flipped bad. I still feel bad he got lynched Day 1 on his first game back after his hiatus and in a game hosted by one of his closest friends. But I am glad a Baddie role was eliminated.

Does that answer the suspicion against me adequately?

Well... I didn't suspect you. I'm still sorry because I know you were truly upset to die out of the blue. :( But I am glad the role is gone.

And I voted journal just because.

Re: The Hobbit Mafia

If I have to vote for something on Day 1, I am more likely to vote for something that seems like an unnecessarily strong post than random vote. If you feel more comfortable voting for Dom for lack of aggressiveness, go for it. I just don't know that I expect anyone to be all that aggressive on Day 1, unless there is some slip up or something.

Linki: leamyconstant, I would never judge you! Vote for who you wish for whatever reason you choose.

I'm casting my vote for INH for lack of anything better, or for time to wait and see if anything else develops.

Re: The Hobbit Mafia

You really don't think it is a strong post? I mean he basically said he thinks she is rude for considering voting people who are posting but she doesn't feel are contributing? Seems a bit over the top to me. As far as anything I have seen onDay1, it would be the thing I would feel most comfortable voting for. I mean, it is Day 1 and I don't like random voting, though I don't hold it against anyone who chooses to do so.

Re: The Hobbit Mafia

I don't understand why you would expect an aggressive Dom on Day 1? Is he normally aggressive on Day 1?

I am more inclined to pay attention to the INH thing personally (I think it was INH anyway, I just did the fastest catch up read ever, lol)I was not reading Juliet's as " mean spirited" at all. I find it odd that he phrased that post the way he did, and have to agree it seems like he made her post into more than it actually was.

linki: leamyconstant, if you come visit me some weekend you may see him again before he moves... :hugs:

Also, we need a smiley with batting eyelashes on this site....

Re: The Hobbit Mafia

I am very excited for Dan's game, and that I am a part of it! I voted yes but quite honestly, whatever works best for most people is fine with me.

On an unrelated note, I have never read or seen The Hobbit. Which is funny because I have read and love The Lord of the Rings, The Silmarillion, and even The Lost Tales. I have not watched the movie, because I refuse to do so before I have read the book...
